There are thousands of guitar players on YT playing and explaining, but most don't sound so good...Thank you Guthrie for playing and explaining music that SOUNDS GOOD. I'm much more inspired to learn something if what I'm hearing sound good. Like the adage about becoming a good player having to do with "the company you keep". In a small way we are able to keep "company" with you. Thanks!
Never heard of you until about 2 weeks ago. Now your channel is the only one I watch. I've already learned a lot and I've been playing since I was 14, I'm 68 now. This is life changing stuff. When I sit on the porch with my wife and we just play. She is amazed at the difference in my playing. I owe it to you. Can't wait to see where you take me next.
Mr GT, you are always bringing such direct, but ever so useful insights. But you can't get away from knowing how chords and scales work. Just today i saw someone on UA-cam pushing how "you too can learn your fretboard in a day!".....oh, really, think they might want to take a listen to our own GT.
Love your work GT Comin at ya from Melbourne Australia. Been playing for 30years but you’ve just opened some huge doors into a whole other world for me man! ThankYOU!! Keep ‘Em comin!
I learned about your channel from a video you did with Marty Music. Been loving your videos and instruction ever since. I learn so much and you inspire me to keep playing. Keep up the great work!
You have set a new standard for guitar playing. From your tone to the instrumental songs written. It gets no better. When I saw the Nashville Little Wing video I felt like I witnessed a passion for playing few have. Unreal my friend.
The livestream was awesome! Thank you! Also, so glad to hear you keep diversifying! And as always, thank you GT for the vintage gold in these YT posts.
Guthrie, I’ve been a believer for more than 50 yrs, that if you don’t know all of these great turnarounds, you can’t call yourself an accomplished player. I’m a new subscriber. Bravo my friend! 🤘😎 More please! 👈 Been hooked since first hearing Billy Gibbons, and Top’s first 4 albums a million yrs ago, electrify country/blues turnarounds. 🔥
Yes! thanks again Guthrie for giving these ideas clarity and perspective. These are ideas I've used but being self taught never put into proper perspective. P.S. that little Martin sounds sweet!
Of course the guitar playing and lessons are fantastic as always, but I have to commend you for staying in great shape! Just trying to keep you motivated with well deserved positive comments. Hard to believe those older videos are you. Keep it up my friend!
Been watching you forever Guthrie! So happy for all your success! Your content is so authentic and inspiring! Absolutely love the brotherhood among you and your fellow guitarists/musicians. All the best!

Hey Guthrie. I’m really enjoying your lessons, but being so crap at guitar myself, I’m a little more than confused about what the 1,6,2&5 chord represent. Is it the 1 is A, the 6 is F, the 2 is B & the 5 is E? Cheers Dean
I’ve learned so much from you! Keep ‘‘em coming. Your country course on artistworks is my guiding light!

Killer intro bro, smoking hot and steamy, mixed with authenticity, served up from E. Nashville, TN!
Hell Guthrie. That intro piece is so slick.

If you’re playing a blues in minor, how would you write it? 6m, 1m or similar? Would you use nashville system or traditional system?

Thanks! Easy concepts for sure.
What model and make guitar is that your playing in this video ?
Custom Shop Martin Parlor 12 Fret designed by George Gruhn. 2012 model.
awesomness
Thanks, man!
@@guthrietrappmusic that was slow enough to learn and fast enough not to get bogged down.. learned a lot #goldielockszone
Eric Clapton called to book some lessons....... get in line buddy 🤣
Sorry for the stupid question. But why is the sixth (relative minor to Emajor) a dominant (with a major third)? Great playing anyway.
Okay. I got it. C#7 is the five chord to F#min( the two chord to Emajor)
It's called secondary dominant.
YES!!!
Too much good content, too quickly. I simply can not learn as fast as you put out videos. Please keep up the great work! 😀
Maybe I should slow down a little. Thanks man!!
@@guthrietrappmusic Don't slow down. You have a lot of viewers and everyone is at a different level. Keep it up!
Man Guthrie, just to hear you play....

Better take your acoustic to Germany 🙃
Oh yes.
Trouble in mind?
Same chords probably. Close to “Key To The Highway” also I think.
Don't fret if a reply doesn't open it's just that hack/illness and y'all ain't missed a thing (👀-Moon Equipped)
Great lessons. Thank you.
