This is an entire room that was cut from The Secret of Monkey Island! The art and code survived in the game's source code repository, and was re-assembled and placed back into the game by us, using the original development tools.
Note: The smoke animation was commented out of the code, meaning it was cut out of the room before the room itself was cut. For the sake of showing as much content as possible, it was restored here along with the dripping leg. - Ігри
It would be nice if a version could be released containing all of these restored rooms and other details. Imagine a new Monkey Island release all these years later.
Well... this aged well :D
@@CrackFoxJunior What do you mean?
@@martinlundkristiansen3859 We're getting a new Monkey Island :D
I HAVE WONDERFUL NEWS FOR YOU
@@ciscou Nah the game is garbage!
Amazing stuff. So cool. Although it would have made more sense to look at the village while on the cliff edge! :)
SCUMM doesn't work that way, if you look at an object the actor walks toward it. There is a special case they could have used here, but didn't: you can see it on Low Street if you look at the Clock. Guybrush doesn't try to walk up to the clock, he's able to look at it standing far away.
@@GameHistoryOrg Interesting! Guybrush's line doesn't make too much as it was coded - they should have used the special case. It kind of indicates the unfinished nature of the room I guess. Thanks again for this amazing work.

this is so cool , i can't believe it
what a shame, that is an wesome room
Mhhh, the dripping leg. Yummy. Are there other rooms to know about, which didn't make it in the game?
This is absolutely mind boggling!
woah.
It is enough to see the village from the map.
Thanks for sharing all these leaks, it's interesting to watch.
I think Ron's view, that he shared in your interview, on why this was cut doesn't make sense, although I'm not doubting that was his argument to cut them.
The cannibals surely were real cannibals before they turned to vegetarians, their own lines imply that..
I believe saving disk space is the most reasonable explanation.
What's more interesting to see in all these leaks, is that usually when you see deleted scenes (like George Lucas own cuts from Star Wars) you can tell how they would lower the final products quality and storytelling.
In all the cuts from Monkey Island, I can see nothing that would make the game less amazing than it actually is.
That shows how good these guys were in making games.
