I guess im asking randomly but does any of you know of a way to get back into an instagram account?? I was dumb lost the login password. I would love any tricks you can give me
@Manuel Eliseo I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
You are the 1st person that actually said it's ok to sell the product... I'm going to follow you for everything I do LOL It's just comforting to know because lots of times I see the author of a video saying don't sell this product or they rather you not sell it... just give it away as gifts! It's just a big deal to me... Thanks!
You can sell it. Here in Arizona, a lady made a place called The Shea Butter Bar. Found a Groupon and took her class. Was so much fun. If you do sell, remember, these butters melt in heat. So shipping, would be insane.
Wow am in Ghana and I make my own shea butter from scratch n use it on my body. Never knew I could whip it.will surely try it out thank u. Love from Ghana🇬🇭
This is such a luscious, healing, softening, anti aging recipe. I use Shea and cocoa butter all over my body every night and it's amazing what these butters do for my skin.
Thank you dear , for sharing your information you are the first one who's using shea butter without melting. I've been watching many videos all of them they are melting all the oils and the bitters together . I like your idea, I like you honesty about using preservative product which I don't like to use them anyway. God bless you and your family 💕
Very clear informative videos as an aromatherapist working with essential oils for almost 30 years your shea butter recipies lent it easy to follow . Thank you from Ireland
Thankyou for supporting African products, new subscriber here❤❤❤ i love your videos too, they give just the right and important information that is necessary without wasting time!
Love this, the melting has had me lazy to even try. Since I’m in Africa our warm weather should allow me to use my butter without melting it. Thank you look simpler
I love using Baraka Shea Butter but I always have to completely melt it to strain out floating debris. Never had any issues with grains and my body butter comes out much creamier.
That’s the only Shea butter I use. Raw unrefined from Ghana . I think it smells beautiful, kinda like nuts and licorice. N my cocoa and cacao butter is also raw and unrefined n my mango butter also is raw and unrefined. They are all organic. It took me a couple years to get my body butter recipe perfect. I don’t just like whip the butters. I feel like if ur just whipping butters then my customers can do that at home themselves. But my body butter is not greasy at all. And it has to do with my temperatures and the oils and wax I use and what I add to absorb the extra oils when u rub it on ur skin. But it’s beautifully moisturizing.
Love your videos! Always incredibly easy to follow just like your books! I'm also a fan of BrambleBerry product ...question: you mentioned a preservative for this body butter can you please tell me the name again, why you chose to use that one and in what quantity would you use it in this recipe. Thank You!
If you'd like to put a preservative in your body butter, we recommend using Optiphen at 0.3 to 1 percent of the total weight of your oil-based products in the recipe. Optiphen: www.brambleberry.com/shop-by-product/ingredients/additives-and-lye/liquids/optiphen/V000582.html
You can always try using rose or chamomile extract instead! We recommend using 1 teaspoon per pound of your total mixture weight. As always be sure to make a small test batch before scaling up to ensure you like the results!
I enjoyed watching this video. Thanks for sharing. I heard you mention something about healing properties. Can this ne used for cracked lips? My son has had issues with his lips for a while and I have tried all kinds of over the counter products and nothing has worked. Can you suggest anything?
I tried melting the butters and freezing immediately after along with just mixing the Shae without melting and both times the mixture had grains. How can I get rid of that?? I did have the butter in the fridge because I live in the Caribbean and it would melt at room temperature
I melt my harder butters first like the cocoa butter and kokum butter and when I take them off the heat, and let it sit for about 3 to 5 minutes THEN I ADD my shea butter to the warm oils instead of putting it on direct heat 😊
AnnMarie this is wonderful. Thank you. I would love to add a preservative. If I use optiphen, how much should I use for this recipe? Also, if I have COSGARD, can I use it instead of optiphen? If so, how much should I use of COSGARD for this recipe? Thanks a bunch!

Thanks for sharing,I have been watching your videos for a while now,am taking a step in making whipped body butters for my business but i live in Africa and the weather is usually hot.anything i can add to my butters so they don't melt?
Your explanation about the fatty acids is exactly what happens when you don't melt and cool fast in the fridge. If your unrefined Shea Butter has come all the way from Ghana, chances are, it's got the grits already because it's solidified at regular temperature. Hence people melt and re-solidify.
And it explains for me what happened to my test body balm I made a while back. Those grains came up and I thought they were mold so I threw them away. Luckily it was a test batch so not much product was used I remade it but put it in the fridge and it looks great!
@@xtravert2012 that's odd, was it completely melted and clear before putting it in the freezer? I've never used Mango Butter oddly enough, I'll be trying it soon.
Will this still melt quickly in the summer months? I thought about adding beeswax but some folks don't like that. Such a great product... Saddens me when it melts tho
Your jars are so pretty :) Can you tell me how to find them? Thanks . I'm wondering if it makes a difference if i use the metal Kitchen Aid bowl. Sometimes I'll see directions for something saying not to use metal so I wanted to double check. I don't have a hand mixer so I coulduse it with my 8 qt glass measuring bowl. Thanks again :)
You can find our jars here: www.brambleberry.com/shop-by-product/packaging/jars Metal is safe for body butters. We usually recommend using stainless steel, especially if you're making cold process soaps since lye will react poorly with aluminum.
Hello there, I have a few questions I hope you can answer them for me. How long does Shea butter last on the shelf? where do I need to keep shea butter? Is it ok to keep shea butter out in a warm room? Thanks ever so much, Anne Marie
They list all their prices on brambleberry.com and you can select how fast of shipping you want when you checkout. Usually it takes about a week for the cheapest option.
A double boiler works great for softening harder kinds of butter. Heating it on low for a couple minutes should make it perfectly hand-mixable with the rest of the recipe.
Regarding shelf life - would it be one yr from the date of making it, or the date of opening after its sealed when making it - like how big company products are?
Great question! Since there’s no water and it will likely be applied to dry skin, don’t worry about a preservative. As always, you can add one if you plan to sell it.
Here's a neat video from Baraka Shea Butter detailing the whole process of making shea butter: ua-cam.com/video/Sl-beCOW_2E/v-deo.html Literally every part of the shea nut is used, from fruit to husk to waste products!

Metal is safe for body butters. We usually recommend using stainless steel, especially if you're making cold process soaps since lye will react poorly with aluminum.
Does it remain fluffy or become hard later. Bcz my whipped shea butter bcms very hard.
Thanks for the video. What's the purpose of the arrowroot?
To make the product less greasy as the powder absorbs the oils.
Can other oils be used with Shea butter instead?
Hello there, I have a few questions I hope you can answer them for me. How long does Shea butter last on the shelf? where do I need to keep shea butter? Is it ok to keep shea butter out in a warm room? Thanks ever so much, Anne Marie
Can I use Mango butter, Jojoba Oil instead of Shea and maybe Argan instead of Calendula?
Yeah you can do that it would just be mango butter instead of shea and try not to use alot of liquid oils bc Mango is a soft butter also.
I’d be very interested in buying some large jars. How much would it be? How long would it take to ship to me?

i add some soy wax 415 in this recipe and it works really good.

Can i use simple butter inside of shea butter because in my country its toooo expensive

You can use any lightweight fixed oil. We like grapeseed and sweet almond!
If doing sales, how long can it keep for a maximum of how many months?
Amazing recipe. Does it not melt when exposed to hot temperatures? If so, what can I do to prevent it from melting and to keep its viscosity?
It's the Arrow Root Powder
Regarding shelf life - would it be one yr from the date of making it, or the date of opening after its sealed when making it - like how big company products are?
The shelf life is considered one year from the production date.
