In this episode I mess around with the Driveable Motorcycle mod which adds into the game an actualy motorcycle you can ride around the wasteland in.

@@somewhitedude01 There's this "Motorcycle Man" that raiders sometimes talk about that pretends he is riding on a motorcycle and pretends like he's throwing grenades
Difference being you actually have a bike and grenades

Nothing stopping him from putting a quick clip of him driving it or even sitting in it over the intro and getting into the quality of the driving mechanics later to retain that sweet viewership. I obviously cannot know why, but my idea is that it would be game breaking. Mods have this issue as well, unless they go really slowly, but at that point might as well walk. The point is that despite this being an open world game, the whole world isn't loaded in one time, only a part with a radius of I don't know how many metres from the player to avoid massive lag and loading times. Therefore moving too quickly will cause the game to be constantly loading stuff which will make the lag and freeze. If there was a way to not have this issue and make the game stable as well as the loading times bearable I'm sure they would have added vehicles into the game
More than likely, because of stability issues. I dont think people realize how much stuff is in fallout. Its scattered with debris, junk, etc. It takes a lot of memory to render things in the game at a normal pace. Vehicles go faster than walking, which would mean that the world would have to render things in at 2-3 times the speed. Might not be a problem in more open areas, but once u get into cities and clustered areas, fps drops and even crashes would more than likely be frequent. As much as vehicles would have been cool af, they have to think about gameplay and stability first.
Actually, the name of the bike is called the "Lone Wanderer" and can be seen in logo form on the gas tank.
I wish that the character would be somewhat moving instead of being like if your character is like a mannequin on a bike
Plus I wish that dogmeat was riding a side cart instead of a trailer
But its still a good mod
Funny enough if this was part of fallout 3 or new Vegas you could Mistake for something that was allready parte of the default game

This seems like it would be a good survival mod.
Someguy1237 quick movement back to base and on a quest. Because in survival mode you can't teleport to unlocked location.

Ive honestly.never seen so much thought and effort go into such a simple mod, id like to shake the creators hand. Great great job. Kept the realism and stress level intact.

I fixed the missing sound and added 8 more rusty paint in the 1.2 that I've uploaded 2h later ^^.
I'm not ready for another Fallout 4 playthrough just yet, but this is for sure going on my watch list to install next time I go into the wasteland.
Ya this is always my luck with showcasing mods, I record my vid and then bam updated lol. glad to hear that is fixed now though, keep up the great work on the mod my friend it's pretty awesome.

Bethesda should have made a game that takes place in the motor city. One of the few places in the apocalyptic world of fallout that still has working vehicles for their citizens.

You say that you can just teleport for your "driving from one end of the map to the other" example, but remember that there is a survival mode... So it's an early alternative to the BOS transportation.

I wonder why does my bike not appear in the parking lot. i got all the addon items like paint and holotape and bags etc. just the bike wount spawn. And call bike option in pipboy wount do anything. help ??

I got a lil heated when you finally jumped on the bike and then showed us the inventory. I just wanted to see you ride it.
Currently, the mod has EXCELLENT sound, the motorcycle consumes fuel, and your companions ride on the back. It’s EASILY my favorite vehicle mod for fallout 4.
And is it also possible to craft motorbike or any vehicles a new or to build a vehicle bay just like Power Armor stands?
I have downloaded this mod on my Xbox there is a glitch we're you will not be able to repair the bike once found. I then re-downloaded it and it did not work.

In case people load this mod and find they can't access paint and other utilities, you have to build a bike station and roll your ride onto it.

Is this just for pc or is it available on console?
would be nice if there would be vehicles in the next fallout, maybe not a lot just a few drivable or unlocked in a later moment of the game. and it would be cool if they made a mad max easter egg vehicle.
the vehicles should be like a caravan where you can put your loot and have a workbench, a cooker, a bed and other necessary stuff you should have to survive. A 1974 Dodge Monaco would have enought size to put all these stuff inside or a 1990 Buick Roadmaster ;D.
MrBlonde294 I think motorcycles would be the only thing to work. If you had anything larger then they would need to create more blank space which means less content and environment.
I'd love it if they had bikes and they had a swag so you can park the bike when you're safe, interact with it and have a quick animation rolling out the swag and sleeping.

It is kind of weird nobody has repaired all these old cars laying around. I mean, fusion cores (or even cells) can power laser guns. They should be perfectly capable of running a car almost indefinitely. And like, they can clearly keep engines and robots running.

Great mod, seems loads of fun. I hope the mod author or some other modder finds a way fro us to shoot from the motorcycle. What is a ride without a drive by, GTA style =p

For me this mods engine idle sound doesnt play lol. Instead it sounds like the engine is going full rpm like Im actually moving when Im not. Its so janked.

Its not perfect but its better than pretending that having no vehicles at all is ok. I mean come on Bethesta? I cant believe some Fallout people dindnt try to reverse engineer the pre war tech, repair and restart again. Its in our human nature to crave for advancement. Now imagine Bethesta implemented it from the start, how awesome that would have been: We could have had to level a certain perk, search a special NPC, maybe recruit the mechanist for our garage or ask the atom cats, it would cost us a lot of recources and understandebly, the cars would have had misfires, fluctuating speed, the chance to spontaniously blow up and all that or the chance to just die on you while on the way. 200 year old tech, hastely put in working order again. That would be realistic and understandable. But them all beeing non functional, massive rocks besides the street is not. Almost like with Playstation 2 games. So... good that someone took care of it. Hope the modders are still onto improving this fault in the game further.
