the best way to think about the TV licence is its basicaly a subscribtion to the BBC, you can own a tv and watch whatever u want on it, but if your watch anything with the BBC, including online stuff then you need to pay it, it like that because its always been AD free tv, it actualy makes way more sence these days with stuff like netflix, its just got an old fashion name cos it started when tv's were first introduced

TV Licence rules in the UK are weirdly complex now but it's pretty easy to not pay your licence and still follow their rules the main thing is if you use TV on demand channels like BBC iPlayer then you should probably have a TV licence if you only watch UA-cam and netflix and other online non TV based content you are probably safe.
The alternate version of me that never saw this because you decided not to upload it would be upset with you despite never having any way to know this footage existed.
