Here’s a tip:
When you’re learning how to skate forward, lean your body weight on the outside of the scate to the direction you’re skating (basically when you put your right foot to glide just try putting your weight on the outside) don’t forget to keep your knees bent though! And the way I taught myself to fix the glide tap was..
I basically just sat down anywhere with my skates on I just pretended I was skating while doing anything else and one day just got up and decided OK I’m gonna go outside and try it and I practiced a couple times but progressively I got better for some reason that help me and it might help you too!😅
Currently learning to akate at a park. The ahifting your weight tip helps a lot

@@effencute You can do it. When I first started, I was scared but over time my confidence grew. Just wear some knee pads, elbow pads and wrist pads.....they are a life saver for me...lol

LOL! You got this girl! Just make sure you have one skate slightly forward than the other and keep your knees bent. This will help with your balance and don't be afraid to fall, we all do it lol!

What’s so funny is we used to skate so much we know all these moves but all the roller rinks where we are at got shut down like 7-12 years ago. But i just hopped back on to my skates i still remember alot of the moves. Cool watchin these vids. Im getting outdoor wheels this week

I love your videos, I have a rollerskates pretty cheap but funcional, I bought a proper wheels and sometimes I feel pretty safe but like in a stand by, but see what you can do as a beginner makes me realize that I'm in a good way, I can't do everything your say maybe whit some more falls haha thanks, this was the push that I needed to continue.

I have a question! 🙋🏻♀️ I always hear the advice for newbies to bend their knees to skate but when I watch the seasoned skaters skate it doesn’t look like they’re bending their knees :/
Denise Williams Bending your knees is absolutely the number one rule in learning to skate!!! Once skaters become more seasoned, the knee bending may not be as prominent but its always there!! 💜💜

I just got a pair of Moxi Lolli and I got some Impala skates to compare and I truly appreciate running into this video because I was doing all of the things you said not to and thats why I was a little apprehensive to really start skating.......oh, and Moxi skates are SUPER HEAVY in case that's something people worry about. Like please don't mess around on these, they are SOLID-LOL I use the Impala skates to practice and I'll be doing all of these warm ups and skating suggestions. Thanks again!
