Love this upload man thanks very much! Todd's performance here was fantastic, the way Mark tore into Michelle over Den at the time only he had the courage to tell her the home truths she needed to hear.
Yeah, he's nothing like how he later came to play the part. I think he was trying really hard at this point to have continuity with Scarboro's performance but then must have made a decision at a later date to make the part his own.
Blimey… Mark was gorgeous here. Todd Carty played him brilliantly.
It's like watching Grange Hill 😂
Pauline's face when she saw Mark ❤

I preferred Susan Tully as Michelle.
Arthur was actually delighted to see Mark.
The role was recast because the original actor who played Mark Fowler, David Scarboro died in 1988 at the age of 20.
Susan Tully 💖💖💖💖💖💖
I grow up watching this on PBS
That’s the old mark in his attitude the mark Todd played eventually was a nicer bloke than this

Mark could’ve been a good hardman, he could handle himself if they hadn’t given him the HIV storyline, just like Zack in today’s Eastenders
Hey it's pc gabriel kent.
Todd Carty doesn't age
Michelle was an amazing character
Shame Mark changed his personality after this. They made him a dull goody goody!
Mark trying to play the big man only lasted about 5 minutes.
