Excellent compilation! 😍 Makes me so sad, David Scarboro, taking his own life at such a tender age, just twenty. He deserved much better, bless him. 💕 Many thanks for the upload. 😀
This is actually sad. The producers and media are scum. I had no idea he committed suicide, until couple days ago. BBC let this young man down. The scene at 18 mins in changed his career and life forever. The other actor confirmed David was not comfortable playing a racist, asked for time off. BBC turned on him. Pathetic. He had too much of a heart. R.i.p David😢
Seeing Pauline smoking! Completely forgot she smoked! Back in the daaaaaay, much! RIP David. Such a needless death. Poor guy. I reeeeally hate the press!
@@scorelineupdate129no it isn't, it is definitely Toxic. And I am very aware of the sample, but listen closely with headphones, it is definitely the Britney song.
Wow old eastenders. So cool to see Michelle and Sharon. Never liked Michelle much because she was snooty but made just as many mistakes as other people and came between grant and Sharon. But she had good storylines. The first Mark was quite like the second one. The storylines were original, gritty and interesting. How far down it's gone. It had some semblance in the 90s and early 2000s with Nick and Mark around
The night before David's suicide, an episode was shown where Den Watts joked about Michelle getting a postcard from Lofty announcing that he had thrown himself from the top of Beachy Head. This may have given David the idea.
I reckon the unspoken truth of the matter is that Mark was an occasional rent boy in Southport and that's how he got the virus. The girlfriend thing doesn't ring true. He was probably too shy to admit it to Arthur.
I always wondered why Mark didn't have great relationships. He was cute, hardworking, honest and loyal. But Ruth and Lisa left him, he didn't have much luck. Wondered why he and Sharon didn't get together but maybe because they grew up together, like Ian. Only knew the second Mark and he was level headed and sensible but outspoken and the original was almost a tearaway. The hiv made him grow up and take charge of his life. He and his dad Arthur had a tough relationship and he and Pauline his mother were close. She relied on him. Were the woman and kids near the end of the scene his family, stepkids?
I vaguely remember him being a horrible actor but he wasn’t as bad as all that. Seems like Eastenders drove him to suicide, which is probably what it’s done to thousands of people given how depressing it is.
@@danielle-g3k Hi Danielle yeah my family treated me like shit as well it wasn't good at all I'm 41 now and I still feel suicidal which I'm sorry to say

I blame the producers of Eastenders. Sad waste of a young life with a bright talented future.
Exactly 20 yr old kid, no support from producers, they wouldn't sign perm contract. Head games.
These were the best Eastenders .. acting was so natural back then
The acting was awful and so stiff what you talking about ??? No one acts like that LOL u mad
@@kailewis7025I agree.. just awful 😂😂
I was only a kid when he was in Eastenders and I remember him being a brilliant actor. Such a tragic end to a wonderful young man.
A brilliant video.
Beautiful boy god bless
Brilliant idea for a video!
Thank you!
Pauline fowler was pregnant with Martin then
Fancy seeing you here!!
He was gorgeous
He died far too young poor fella 😢😢

Loved those toasters with the flowers on the side.
Don't cry gran. I can't handle it if you cry.

David was a lovely Mark. Sensitive - like Morrissey.

I don't get it
@@shanefolan9175 if you listen closely you can hear Toxic faintly, in the background lol
I thought i could hear that
@@baybergurl7479 that not Toxic it is the original sample Lata Mangeshkar and S. P. BalasubrahmanyamTere Mere Beech Mein from 1981

The sets looked scruffy, but more real back then. EE in 1985/86 had more of an edge.
Now the sets are too posh looking for the east end! 🙄
@danielle-g3k Hi
Susan Tully was such a natural actress.
Wow, Susan Tully's the only one still alive from that thumbnail pic. :(
The night before David's suicide, an episode was shown where Den Watts joked about Michelle getting a postcard from Lofty announcing that he had thrown himself from the top of Beachy Head. This may have given David the idea.
😨😔
Probably just an eerie coincidence. Would David still have watched Eastenders by the time he left?
@ he may well have watched it, to see if they mentioned Mark in the storyline. He was waiting for the show to employ him again.
Nick was on the lookout to manipulate and train mark as his lackey. Older bloke making a younger bloke feel valued by doing his bidding.
David as Mark had a real quiet vulnerability to him. It didn't seem as evident with Todd.

Mark was a greaser!!!
Shame he did what he did he was only 20 years old I've attempted suicide since I was 9 years old
