More people are IT capable then they realize. The spectrum within IT is so vast now, we have room for many skill sets. both men and women have natural talents required for IT, hope you reach more young people.
Cherokee, Dakota here and I want to THANK YOU 🙏 for the information! I am a newbie in IT Tech and now you are my instructor, as your instructor motivated you, you motivate me so thanks again for not looking back and only looking forward with IT! I am a subscriber and find it fascinating that it starts with 1’s & 0’s (Zero is an amazing # that changed the world but that’s another story for another day!) and expanded into the world of IT! I look forward to your teachings and as you know, you cannot keep it unless you give it away, so thanks again my teacher! Dakota
Your story sounds a lot like mine. I'm currently in a monotonous job and want to make a change so I've decided to start studying to earn an A+ certification.
Great story, I have a similar professional track, from working in sales at a tech school to getting certified and becoming an instructor, to working IT jobs, if I had the opportunity again I would do it without hesitation, being an instructor was one of the most rewarding jobs I ever had.
Hey, I'm a new subscriber but not new to IT! I started in IT thanks to a training program, got my A+ cert and paid internship. But back then I wasn't very confident in myself so I didn't try very hard to build my skills and learn. But here I am again retraining myself to get recertified and back in the field with determination to learn, grow and be the best in any IT job! So glad I found this channel 😄
Thank you so much for the video plus I got an Microsoft Technology Associate certification in networking and I'm planning on looking for an entry-level tech job!!!
Great question. It actually varies a bit depending on what vendor you're looking to teach (i.e. Microsoft, Cisco, ITIL, etc). What path were you considering? I may be able to give more detailed info.
It’s so hard to develop a curriculum! I’m only a new college student as of this upcoming year, and I want to start my own tech business. I want it to be individual 1 on 1, but I’m going to start out doing discounted group sessions for certain places. Any advice for making the curriculum for a busy student just starting college?
Cherokee: Congrats on your endeavors! You being a student is a huge help because you can draw on your experiences and incorporate that into your curriculum. Think of the questions that popped into your head the first time you were introduced to a new tech. Think about what was boring or lame, leave those parts put. Most importantly, don’t stress out. You are not going to be perfect at first and that’s okay. Every time I have taught a topic I’ve improved. You will learn what is best for your students and your delivery with repetition. Good luck!

This is awesome! I'm a Support Specialist for a startup, and am in the middle of learning Python, but there are so many different paths to take.

Narrowing the scope is a key skill
are there any certifications to obtain to become IT trainer? (assuming you have years of experience in the industry)
