"When you gotta go you gotta go" Hey Kevin over the years I replaces quite a few bowls & seats. They have gotten easier over this time. This is the first one I saw where you break off the nut. I like that slow closing lid especially when the young ones are around LOL.

Hey Chief, Thank you for showing the video that makes it clear to idiots like me how to position the bolts. My wife bought 3 of these seats and I lost my mind trying to decide where what bolts go. (My bottom bolt is shorter then yours--no breaking off-and a guy can't tell if it goes on top or below seat. I lost 4 hours of my life but now I think I have it.
That looks so easy, I could probably do it without needing to call you for instructions.

I have the exact same problem with my toilet seat. Very flimsy! I sure like the new one you installed with the slow close lid and extra strength. I'm going to install one also if they aren't too expensive. I never knew they existed. Thanks for this video. Stay safe!

When you placed the cap, on the threaded metal, it broke of. If you want to change the toilet seat, in the future, then how would you remove the remainder of the cap? Channel lock?
Yes that will work fine.
I don't understand why you break the nut off. Won't that be a problem if you need to change the seat in the future?
It will be fine when you go to take it off you can use a deep well socket.
What about the toilet seats that are like horseshoes with the opening right at the front that’s the only way I can explain it. Where can I find that type of?
I think the seats are the same.
You can use this type of seat.
