Fear was a big one for me. When I started, I would pull my punches. When I decided to commit to the punch I started landing and it felt great. What helped me with the fear was thinking to worst situations I’ve been in and thinking this is not as bad as that.
I am admittedly a UA-cam addict, I spend way too much time on here BUT I have to tell you, you have quickly become my favourite channel. 100% no BS. I am just imagining him as my coach in our UFC gym. Amazing, he know what to explain and how to overcome our weaknesses. I literally was thinking of all these problems as I face them and here I clicked on the video and got my answers. Lots of respects.
I had a sparring session with a pro a couple of years ago. I’ve only had a few abs fights and a couple of white collar. He made me look silly in certain spells based on his footwork. In and out of range fast making me miss each time. Great vid bro, will benefit loads this will.
Thank you coach! This is amazing! Three things that helped me improve landing punches was moving in and out of range on a heavy bag or cones and sparring. I love your videos so much!
I am not a fighter by any stretch but have watched many of Tony's videos now and I am inspired by them. I start off with a good 10 to 15 minutes just on the heavy bag every session at my gym and I try and put into practice what I've learnt from these tutorials.

Yes i remember your quote about feinting, feints is you commit to your movement(or punches) just like how you do it BUT, you stop in the middle of it, so yeah sometime just a word is enough to make sense of everthing.
1) Being out of range If you are not in range you won't be able to throw punches but when going in to the opponent you hit as well Falling step 2) Footwork As soon as you are done throwing your punches in range quickly step out the area 3) Use long range punches to get in and then throw short ranged punches 4) work for speed and when you see the right opportunity throw the power punches and be unpredictable Punch with bad intentions and to go through your opponent 5) don't have fear
To make people miss, as ali said, “float like a butterly” (be quick on your feet, head movement etc), “sting like a bee” (hit quickly with effect, power etc within reason) “his hands cant hit what his eyes cant see” (stay illusive, the more you move, faint, confuse the opponent, the lesser chance you have of being hit)

Hi Tony, Just found your channel today and finding these tips really useful, especially as a beginner so many thanks. However, one thing that really doesn't make sense to me is maintaing eye contact when sparring- My coaches are always telling me to stop looking down at the chest (which I do as it gives the best peripheral vision to see incoming punches)...But apparently this is incorrect and am told you need to make eye contact until committing to a punch... Can you maybe explain this a little as it just seems a little counter-intuitive to me?
I was told a similar thing, and they are both equally good except that maintaining eye contact shows that you have more confidence, even if you don't. You can still see what they are doing fairly well either way.

Another great session
1) Being out of range
If you are not in range you won't be able to throw punches but when going in to the opponent you hit as well
Falling step
2) Footwork
As soon as you are done throwing your punches in range quickly step out the area
3) Use long range punches to get in and then throw short ranged punches
4) work for speed and when you see the right opportunity throw the power punches and be unpredictable
Punch with bad intentions and to go through your opponent
5) don't have fear
The art behind them is so sick
