this is the best! very helpful video on how to assemble this keyboard. I will however live life on the edge by using an electric drill when I assemble mine.
@@BadKarma.- you are not supposed to put the middle screw in on the wooting keyboard and there was another one but im not watching the video again to remember what it was
I used the keyboard with the poron foam, and then i switched back to the silicon since the space bar was little too thocky irl for me, and added two layer mod tape, it is now nice "clacky" without being too "clacky", and feels slightly stiff, which was my preference, i noticed that i wanted it to sound/feel more like a hyper x alloy 60
Nice! Im intending to play around with it some more, definitely worth the time, I did try the tape mod and that sounded real nice. Seems the silicone will make the spacebar sound better.
@@LettersEF it wont hurt it but yes that is the reason why, you are short a screw. with other pcb's that require that standoff and screw, they will come with it. ours was just an extra. seems like it found a happy home however :)
Which switches are the best in terms of sound for gaming? I noticed they offer three different options: Gateron Jade Switches, Lekker Switches L45, and Lekker Switches L60.
Out of the box I believe the jades if you want a marbly loud sound and Lekker V2 if you want a thocky but more silent sound. Jade Pro Max and Geon RAW if you want the best out of box sounds
Got my wooting module etc and got the jades, i was suprised that the jades doesnt feel that light after all, probably because the better tolerances, they feel slighty heavier that 45 lekkers but not as heavy as lekker 60, id say totally WORTH IT after all🫣
@@Steven-cr1og Only comes with the HE+ Module and Alumaze Case I believe, that said there should be alot of foams out there you can but and shape yourself too :)
when do you have to install the switches before putting the pcb into the keyboard case? or can you always just put in the switches in after the assembling the keyboard?
@@LettersEF Cool. Thanks for the vid! Used this one to set up my board yesterday. I saw a reddit post about someone having issues with the jades on the stab keys, so I used Lekker 45s for those, but I think I'll switch them out to jades as well, the Lekkers are meh imo.. :)
@@LettersEF they are the additional gold standoffs that come with the case that you hand tightened in your video. I could not get them to thread into the chassis. I was installing them, not removing.
@@LettersEF thought about those but over budget, and estimated shipping mid july🥲🥲 i have no patience on shipments, (im no keyboard enthusiast in any means btw)
@@kruk0 fair, if thats the case if you are buying right away would suggest raptors, but I say look at keyboard shops for jades if money is not an issue.

You aren't supposed to install the middle standoff in the alumaze60. Wooting themselves have said it during assembly
ahh thanks for letting me know I do not have a screw there now either :)

Do I have to put wooting’s magnetic switches or can I use other ones for the adjustable actuation?
There are other usable ones like Geonworks Raptor and Gateron Jades which you can use instead of Lekkers
@@LettersEFok I’m also using to tofu 60

@@LettersEF aligning the module into the case was little annoying, i wanted to be perfectly centered but it was half a millimeter off, good enough
@@kruk0 agreed, they could have made some guides on the alumaze to keep it aligned at all times

is the wooting module backlit ?

Yep!
the switches are already lubed or i have to lube them?
@@ernestogf7294 they are factory lubed, I tried lubing these switches as well made no difference in feel or sound for me

Thank you!! I replaced the lekker switches for jades on the stab keys and they worked perfectly fine 🙌
Will this work in the wooting software? Will I be able to change the actuation of the keys if I get wootings switches?

U got to purchase the wooting60he+ module
thanks
Thank you:)

yo do you need to get stabalizers for magnetic jade?
The stock stabilizers work fine/great with the jades.
I can not get the standoffs into the bottom of the case no matter what i do.
how hard did you tighten!? and why did you want to remove them?

It's factory lubed, I tried hand lubing a few switches to compare and it wasn't worth lubing the entire set.

Kraken from Amazon
so the module comes with screws for the case?
