  • We all make this training mistake!
The ball is set to us in warm up so we go all out, hit the ball as hard as we can, land on the centre line and walk under the net to go get the ball. Pay attention to the next hitting warm up you see, EVERYONE DOES IT
Every time you hit a ball, it is an opportunity for you to get your body used to what you want it to do during games. Train your body accordingly!
Watch the video from last week I am referring to • How to avoid attacking...

I would love to see some tips about reading hitters with regards to body positions, e.g. arms and shoulders, and set locations.

Our coaches actually made it a point to make us go around the net during warm ups so we can get those good habits and not embarrass ourselves during games lol

I think that it was a sound effect or an audio mess up.

So, my advice would be not to go to the post direction, since during the game, the player either has to turn to the other side, if the spike was blocked, or has to stay there to get prepared for his block action against the opponents. Does it make sense for you?
