- Midnight Syndicate moved to the outdoor main stage out of the Jack Aldrich Theatre which is closed for HalloWeekends 2023. So they can perform with Les Productions Haut-Vol the production company who brought HalloWeekends fans the popular Skeleton Crew during previous seasons '12-'18, Boneyard Battleground '19 and Summer shows '23. Many are on this channel.
The concept is based on their new '23 album, "The Brimstone Club" inspired by the Parisian Cabaret de L’Enfer, a 19th century hell-themed cabaret that was a forerunner to the haunted attractions and themed restaurants and taverns of today,” said Edward Douglas on Midnight Syndicate’s web site (more information below).
“Appearing from the darkest recesses of the mind is a club filled with fantastical sights and sinister shocks. Midnight Syndicate brings the music, you bring the screams. The evening promises to be a real nightmare.” - Cedar Point. Location: HalloWeekends Main Stage.

“Midnight Syndicate will be returning to Cedar Point‘s HalloWeekends in a brand new live show entitled, Echoes of the Brimstone Club featuring Midnight Syndicate. The show runs every Friday and Saturday from September 15th through October 28th. Performance times are 7:30, 8:30, 9:30, and 10:30pm daily.
The show features music from the new album, The Brimstone Club, as well as several older fan favorites that have never been performed live before. [...]
In addition to having Midnight Syndicate merchandise, CDs, vinyl, and some limited-edition items for sale, Edward and Gavin will be available after most shows to meet and greet guests and sign items.”

Midnight Syndicate has released their 15th studio album, The Brimstone Club. Featuring the “soundtracks to imaginary films” concept the band helped pioneer, The Brimstone Club blends orchestration and sound effects to take listeners to a shadowy theatre club where the strangeness of its exotic entertainment and libations are matched only by its peculiar clientele. The album is available digitally and on CD.
“Sometimes a piece of history can prove to be every bit as fascinating as anything one might imagine,” added Gavin Goszka.
Similar to Midnight Syndicate’s other albums, The Brimstone Club utilizes music and sound to tell a story whose details are left up to the listener. “We hope people are able to listen to it at least once from start to finish in a quiet darkened room. There’s a lot in this world to explore in your mind’s eye,” said Douglas.

The first Cedar Point Shows experienced were HalloWeekends ‘05 Poe’s Trio of Terror, then Red Garter Saloon’s Monsters Rock! A $1k Sony TRV30 MiniDV Camcorder was bought to transfer 8mm Cedar Point film to tape. It was used to record the shows in ‘06.

@@amusement420it was great to relive the show! The song I am referring to is called - "Insane". It's sung by a Demon out of Hell from an adult cartoon. So, in a sense, very fitting for the Brimstone Club.
I do think this show took away from Midnight Syndicate however. Step down from Last year, and two steps down from Conspiracy of Shadows.
The performers were incredibly talented however.

Fri I watched it way off to the side at tables near Valravn it's interesting and a better view of M.S. in the background.
yeah the stage setup is a tough one since some of the performers need so much room. otherwise they could've put M.S. closer to the front on either side yet you don't want the two separated too much.
We're so used to seeing them in an intimate theatre setting.
It is something different for them to be a part of that's for sure. Skeleton Crew in some form or fashion was always popular which this is an off-shoot of.
Just curious; why does the MC repeat the words, "Cis, Cis, Cis" or "Sys, sys, sys"? What does that mean in reference to the Midnight Syndicate show?
I wondered the same thing. I can ask them on a forum see if they reply. google 'Cis' if that's how it's spelled and it means something about gender. But why would it. I don't know right now. He's a good Emcee actor though.

yeah I didn't know what that. song was. Thanx for pointing it out. I would think Cedar Point Live E! or whomever wrote the show for them would have made that decision to use it for the opener not Midnight Syndicate or Haut-Vol. The overall show idea takes inspiration from Midnight Syndicate (all the info in the description).
am i the only one who did not like this show? the jumpscare is lame and i feel like midnight syndicate is not front and center
yeah I thought they could have moved MS up but they like to stay in close proximity to one another. I'm sure they experimented. Haut-Vol needs enough room to work. If they didn't have the unicycle they might have had room. It's interesting though and they sound good.
Definitely not a Midnight Syndicate live show since they didn't write or direct this or last year's show. Notice this one says "featuring" Midnight Syndicate, not Midnight Syndicate Live.
