God, this song embodies Alastor's character so well. Someone who's so manically energetic and caught up in his own showmanship that he bulldozes over everyone, only acknowledging them for how much their pain can entertain him. And just when a glimpse of humanity emerges, it's swallowed up by the act again so you're never sure if it's genuine or not.

and i think a lot of his manic behavior and tendencies comes from a shit load of trauma. As you probably know, its head-canon that Al had a very abusive father. So i think the reason why he killed and the reason why he feels like he needs to be feared is so he doesn't appear weak bc im sure that he's scared that if he isn't feared and that he doesn't have a lot of power, someone will take advantage of that much like how his father (possibly) did. I also think he has some serious emotional issues (maybe like his dad would hit him and such when he was angry or when he cried), so thats why he always smiles bc he doesn't want to be hurt again. It seems like he's surrounded himself with all this chaos and fear to distract him from his trauma. Mind you this is all just a theory.

Alastor... he is like a little insane friend, with whom you always has some headache... but without him the life becomes very boring. The guy who can make every day a freaking show and enjoy it/life to the fullest. Excellent work!
I actually like this a lot. I think it shows the begining realization of "oh hey, I have Powers." And the fun young sounding-ness of it all being new, whereas in the pilot, he's bored AF, lol. Awesome, I love it, and it will now be played on repeat until I memorize it.

For the people who are about to complain that Hazbin Hotel hasn't gotten a new episode: Hazbin Hotel got picked up on August 7th, 2020 by A24 to become a professionally animated TV series. Vivzie and the rest of her team have all signed NDA's, meaning that they are legally forbidden from disclosing any production-related or behind-the-scenes information unless A24, the company that picked Hazbin Hotel up, gives them permission to do so. Making a season of an animated TV show takes a long time, and they've likely been working on it behind closed doors for most of 2020 and 2021. We'll start getting updates when the first season is complete and A24 is ready to begin marketing the show.

You guys, in Daisies, Alastor kills a man, and in this song, Insane, he is referring to someone: “wait a minute do I know you? Weren’t you an old pal of mine? DEPARTED FROM IS FAR TOO EARLY, BUT NOW WERE MEETING A SECOND TIME”and so on and so forth, is the guy Alastor killed in Daisies the person he’s referring to here? Because we know that in Daisies, at the very end, Alastor (sadly) dies, and we know that Insane is right after Alastor arrived in hell. Alastor also most likely had a reason for killing that man in Daisies, something that the guy might have gone to hell for, and since Alastor died right after, it’s likely that Alastor might’ve gone to hell and recognized the man that he had killed just recently! This song is so great! I love that it starts from his arrival. The lyrics are written so well. On of the reasons I love Alastor as a character is him being so eloquent and all the metaphors and comparisons used in the lyrics portray it really well.

I don’t know if anybody else caught this, but it really makes me feel like the song just has that much more work put into it. At the very end, just after the last, “Does that make me insane?” there’s a very faint little breath before the radio sounds cut out. It sounds like it could be either a sigh or a small laugh, and I just love that tiny detail so so much. My aunt showed me this song and I fell in love so fast. As someone from Louisiana, I think Alastors character is the best representation my state has gotten. He doesn't sugarcoat the bad parts of the states history and he isn't given a stereotypical southern accent. I just love his character overall. Hazbin Hotel got picked up on August 7th, 2020 by A24 to become a professionally animated TV series. Vivzie and the rest of her team have all signed NDA's, meaning that they are legally forbidden from disclosing any production-related or behind-the-scenes information unless A24, the company that picked Hazbin Hotel up, gives them permission to do so. Making a season of an animated TV show takes a long time, and they've likely been working on it behind closed doors for most of 2020 and 2021. We'll start getting updates when the first season is complete and A24 is ready to begin marketing the show.

This song is so great! I love that it starts from his arrival. The lyrics are written so well. On of the reasons I love Alastor as a character is him being so eloquent and all the metaphors and comparisons used in the lyrics portray it really well.
You know, if you told me that in 2023 the creator of One Piece, famous manga series in the world, would be listening to this song as his 2nd most popular of the year, I wouldn't believe you.

I don’t know if anybody else caught this, but it really makes me feel like the song just has that much more work put into it. At the very end, just after the last, “Does that make me insane?” there’s a very faint little breath before the radio sounds cut out. It sounds like it could be either a sigh or a small laugh, and I just love that tiny detail so so much. My aunt showed me this song and I fell in love so fast. It helps that I’m a sucker for the villain calling people by pet names like honey and sweetheart. Also I just love Black Gryph0n’s stuff and have since I was like twelve or thirteen

As someone from Louisiana, I think Alastors character is the best representation my state has gotten. He doesn't sugarcoat the bad parts of the states history and he isn't given a stereotypical southern accent. I just love his character overall. This song is amazing too, I represents a ton of his characteristics so perfectly and the beat is great. Don't know where I was going with this comment 💀
