    Living full-time in my rolling tiny home has been the best decision of my life. Off-Grid living offers a peace and connection to life that you just can't explain. When i first started van life i build a stealth camper van with the mindset the you had to live a stealth van life and i soon discovered that you can just live the city van life and boondock in the countryside and as long as you are respectful of the backcountry and cities you live in. Stealth van life in not necessary. Be proud of the life you choose to live, Share this van life journey with everyone. Remember Tiny Homes and The whole tiny house lifestyle is very popular and #vanlife is no different. When you don't hide it people will come say hi and ask you questions. The world is more curious than hateful. Well......Welcome to my everyday van life adventures. My name is Chrome Valdez and i travel full-time with Cruz the bulldog. Stay weird everyone and thank you for being here.

    I have been watching you on and off for years. You taught me about getting rid of trolls, filtering and blocking, and even turning off comments. I had a growing channel but pooped out and was tired of being harassed so I deleted it all and was going to never return. However, I have such a loving community and truly do enjoy the work. I started over but this time I'm keeping it simple and having fun, taking lots of sabbaticals (like now). I've been watching you today because you are so positive, so grateful for each moment, love life. It is refreshing in this world. It reminds me of what the message needs to be; to love life, to keep it simple, to appreciate all those little moments. Thank you.

    Regarding any electrical Appliance the wattage stated is the maximum Watts. Once the rice cooker comes up to temperature it will throttle right back to a much-reduced wattage, or the rice would burn. Just like when you make rice on the gas stove once it boils you turn the flame right down.

    Chrome, you can cook so many other things in a rice cooker (rice, stews, bake). However, if you get an electric pressure cooker (not slow cooker), it's even better! It's a rice cooker on steroids and doesn't draw too much power. I own a Phillips pressure cooker.

I quit to using rice cooker few years ago and using pot and stove for cooking rice now.It taste different and you can see the rice is standing up when finished to cooking rice. Its the sign of delicious rice ;) Wash the rice softly and change water 2 times. Do not wash too much. Put the water same volume with rice (If you put the rice 2 cups then put the water 2 cups) and wait for 30 min. After 30 min, Put the pot to stove with strong fire. After boiled the water, Small fire and wait for 10 min.After 10min, Stop to fire and wait for 10 min. DO NOT OPEN the pot LID after put the stove until in the end because keep steam in the pot is very important! Enjoy tasty rice :)

    We used a rice cooker for decades and recently switched to an instapot for cooking rice. The rice is perfect and we can cook stews, soups, and tons of other foods. If you really want to get a dedicated rice cooker, find an Asian grocery and buy a midpriced one. The cheap cookers will burn your rice, and the expensive ones have too many bells and whistles that are very rarely used.

    You can cook rice in a 3 litre Instant pot. Because it pressure cooks, it cooks quicker. You can also use the instant pot to cook a lot of other things so it has multiple uses. The small size 3 litre is what a lot of van people use since it’s the lowest wattage. Cheap RV living has a video on it. Thanks for the awesome videos Chrome.

      Too much power draw with an Instapot.

    • @kylie6583
      @kylie6583 3 роки тому

      @@sharonh.6014 Sharon the initial power draw as it comes up to pressure is much higher than when it is at pressure. It also cooks incredibly fast so you do not have it on for very long. It overall is much less power draw than a rice cooker. Watch videos on this. Inverter size would need to be 700 watts plus. I don't think you'd get a rice cooker much less than this and if you did then it wouldn't necessarily work so well. Please research it.

    • @sharonh.6014
      @sharonh.6014 3 роки тому

      @@kylie6583 Yah we have one and use occasionally in our campervan with has 400 watts lithium. It does draw quite a bit initially and levels out. But by the time it comes up to pressure and then cooks, you might as well cook on a stove. Plus it takes up space (even the small one we have).
