I finally got a piece of that pie, beans don't burn in the kitchen, bean don't burn on the grill. Took a whole lot of trying just to get up that hill. 😂😂😂😅😅😅😊😊
Hey just stumbled across the channel and have gone down the rabbit hole watching back to backs...I was just watching. the live stream playback and you mentioned that when you opened the gas cap you heard a suction sound, Yes this is why your van had no power as your fuel cap have to vent style for your van, if the new cap is like old school you need to find one with a vent. if it happens again just pulll over and remove the fuel cap for a bit and try again, Great Channel and have a great day
Making it out safely despite uncertainty about what caused the issue is a remarkable achievement. Your resilience and quick thinking in navigating such a challenge reflect your strong problem-solving skills and adaptability. Embracing the uncertainties of van life with such determination is truly inspiring. Your ability to overcome obstacles and continue your journey with a positive spirit is a testament to your strength and adventurous nature. And I am Floating Village Life.
British Columbia is beautiful,I would love to move to Vancouver Island. It is way more expensive than quebec, but who knows 🤷♂️. We can't tell the future.
Yes.. love that area. Lillooet brewing was awesome when we visited last year. Great Pizza. I will introduce you to a real epic truck camper overlander when we return from Tuktoyuktuk. We now have 400ah of battery with 260w solar and have no trouble keeping 100% Talk to John @J5, I would expect no problem..
Chrome. You really do have the most bad ass ford econoline i ever seen. its clean and tough looking. Im a ford guy. But you getting up there in age like me. May i suggest a sprinter. standing up in the back is the best thing ever.
After all of that work, time and money! That is sooo sad! Soon 🤞Still gorgeous and way better than being stuck in town! Maybe water was what my Dad used to call vapor lock? And Oh my Goodness!!!! I LOVE EFRT! Outstanding!!!!!
Glad you made it out safe chrome something I thought about if your dumping from one tank into another tank I'm guessing your sitting on E on the tank maybe it's stirring up a bunch of crap at the bottom of your old tank and mixing it into your fresh fuel thats a old gas tank I wouldnt surprised if dosent have crap at the bottom the tank
Folks have been evacuated from the Barkerville area due to wildfire. Best to avoid going thru Williams Lake . Instead, go thru Kamloops and take the Yellowhead Highway to get to Prince.
If the lack of power happens again, try removing the fuel cap and see if you hear a hiss. If you do I bet it works again for a while. Could be something with the new tanks and a vent line being misrouted or disabled. Not real likely but a really easy troubleshooting step.
I spent the night in Lillooet last September on the tail end of a bucket list road trip through BC and Alberta and you drove by both the place we ate at and stayed at in downtown Lillooet. We saw bighorn sheep in between Fountain Indian Reserve (above Lillooet) and Pavilion. And the lake you stopped at (Duffey Lake) - we stopped there too - it was GORGEOUS! And this is too eerie - we stopped at Marble Canyon too! But we had the opposite of you - it was COLD! Our route was a massive loop - started in Vancouver, drove through the smoke in British Columbia and the Cascades out to the Rockies and Jasper and Banff in Alberta, and then went north and came back west through the north back to Vancouver via the west and north (got close to Prince George but then turned south as we had to be back in Vancouver) - all in 4 epic days! It was so beautiful, and it was an amazing road trip. Breathe taking. Mount Revelstoke National Park, Wells Gray Provincial Park, and the Cariboo Plateau were some amazing hidden highlights. I really enjoy each of your videos and adore Cruzee! Looking forward to the next video!
Hi Chrome and Cruz! Love the scenery of your trips. I've been following you since right before you moved out of the high rise with Disco. Things have changed for you for the better even though there have been hiccups along the way. Keep on keepin on!!
If someone comes to your door then they need to be prepared. It’s your home. You’re entitled to wear or not wear whatever the heck you want. Can’t wait to see where you end up next 🩵
Lillooet is mostly limestone rock Chrome. It used to be seabed floor before it was accreted onto the coast of British Columbia. It’s part of a story called Baja BC. A lot of it came from Mexico.
Great video today some of my favorite UA-camrs you epic family road trip. there is one of those trucks in my hometown for sale that is identical to their truck and when I saw the price, my mouth just dropped
I think you're on the right track making sure that the fuel filters are good. I would be looking for any fuel lines that are close to exhaust or the engine that may be boiling the fuel. You did say it was bloody hot!
It sounds like your van had vapor lock, and when you opened the gas cap you released the vacuum pressure in the tank and now your van is running good again until it happens again.
Canada is definitely a beautiful blessed place. God took his time with the views. Even the Canadians personalities are so chill and calm. Stay blessed. One love from beautiful Trinidad and Tobago ❤ 🇹🇹.
seeing as you had pressure in fuel tank when you removed the cap I would check the vent hose. make sure it didn't get pinched when reinstalling the fuel tank. safe travels.
If the day was very hot and you have been running a long time my guess would be a vapor lock. It's not common these days, but way back when, it happened fairly regularly. At any rate I hope your problems are solved with that new fuel filter.
Our low this morning was 27C and our high was 41C...I'll take your temps any day. Literally sitting here in a light cotton night shirt in front of a fan directing my A/C to my face...too hot to give AF!!!!
So i know when people do the Pikes Peak competition, they have to drive up a mountain and their cars lose power. It happens mostly because of the gasoline in your tank moving away from your fuel pump at an incline and also the lack of oxygen because theyre high up. Not sure how high you where and how full your main tank was along with how long you where running the car, but may be related to that.
Hey Chrome, I don't know if anyone else has suggested this, but could your problem in the bush the other day have just been a "vapor lock"? ... I had an older truck that used to do almost exactly what you had happen when it was really hot out. It happened the first time climbing over the "Hat" from Victoria to Duncan, and a couple of other times before I figured out it was just hot, my truck was under load, and climbing (and it happened the first time right around the Split Rock viewpoint, so right near the crest of the Hat) ... I ended up having to put in a bigger Rad and a shroud (didn't have one before) and that seemed to stop the issue... I don't know what your engine bay looks like, but if this could be your issue, and you don't have a shroud, you may need to put one in.... anyway, peace out and good travels to you and Sir Cruzie Bear, from Doc, in the Great White (now all summer green and sweaty hot) North of southern Ontario, Canada 🦫🦫🟥🍁🟥.
Every time I see you find these epic spots, it just makes me want to join you. Start driving. And remember that spot in lilowack? However, it's spelled.
Beautiful, Chrome!! Made my day! I love the view, mountains ⛰️! Hopefully, one day, I will get to that area and see all the beauty! Thank you! Have a wonderful day. If you get too hot, use the shower a couple of times a day. I bet cruzy would love. Play time in the shower.
The Jeffersons. That's my ring tone lol oh yeah what was your altitude when it sputtered. Highest you've been maybe. Less oxygen may screw up your mixture
Hey Chrome, my guess is air in your gas line. I have experienced that before. It was discovered that I had a pin hole in my gas line, and I was told air in the lines possible cause. Let us know what Lorne thinks. Miss my BC, enjoy seeing the beauty. Thanks for sharing!
Krome . Great to see u . I know I do not always post . I know u bizzzy out here .. stay strong . Just stopping. By to say hi .. and let ya know I am still here
Hey Chrome .. .. Engine Control Modules need to "Learn" how to deal with actual Operating Conditions.. .. the computer is given basic information to get started .. and there may be some stumbling .. prior to learning how to adjust fuel delivery and ignition timing for the big hill... That may very well have been the cause of inadequate engine performance. A few common automotive parts .. tucked in a cabinet .. is always a good thing.. even if it is going to help someone else.. Keep on Vannin'.. !!
Moving on up, is from the tv show "The Jefferson".

The Jefferson's! 😅 Seems like we all know the song. 😊

Hey Chrome, the TV show is called The Jeffersons and I hope you and Cruzie are safe Stay Blessed ❤❤❤
Nice video, glad your home is running good .
Have fun on your adventure
Checking out the bus on the train track and overlooked the wicked semi RV behind it.

wow Chrome so cool you ran into Epic Family Road Trip
Look at Chrome singing the theme song from the Jefferson’s 😂❤
Lol it's so funny, the temps you struggle with in your summer are the temps we thrive in in Africa. We complain about the cold weather.
Absolutely beautiful there!❤️🙏🏼👍🏼👍🏼✌🏼❤️🐶❤️
Hi 😎&🐶; Glad Your van is running well today for you! Great Video 🤗👍;Thank You For Sharing! ❤️🫂😎&🐶; See You Both Soon 🙂
That view! Thank You❤

Chrome keep up top video. Wish Australia had beautiful scenery like Canada. East coast of Australia have too much development
Wow beautiful out there and cool to see the other UA-camrs have not watched them in a long time ✌️✌️👊
WOW...❤
Lillooet Brewing has awesome craft beer! Stout, ESB, Grizzly Lager! Yum, you gotta go there! P.S. there are fires around Spences Bridge, be careful
I watch them too. They do the most exciting things.
Always nice to see you pushing forward
Yes agree, BC is beautiful
Glad you made it out safe chrome something I thought about if your dumping from one tank into another tank I'm guessing your sitting on E on the tank maybe it's stirring up a bunch of crap at the bottom of your old tank and mixing it into your fresh fuel thats a old gas tank I wouldnt surprised if dosent have crap at the bottom the tank
Can't go wrong with a bit of mountain therapy, especially when your ride holds up and you happen to bump into other UA-camrs!
Louette is a really pretty area.
I remember you being here in 2020. Have a good day. 😊
.......! vry glad your okay!
I live in Kentucky and the places in Canada that you drive to makes me wish Kentucky had places like that .
Could the extra fuel tanks be causing any problems because of the weight?❤😊
We were camping in Colorado this weekend and we were getting some of that smoke from that Canadian fire.
Awesome.
Chrome, you should have a code reader to check engine codes.
Yeah chrome that’s a sweet rig for sure
Nice place to live!
That’s bad ass cool that you got to meet EFRT.
Folks have been evacuated from the Barkerville area due to wildfire. Best to avoid going thru Williams Lake . Instead, go thru Kamloops and take the Yellowhead Highway to get to Prince.
Vapor lock and hot weather is my guess . Try a different gas cap ?
I have an old hiace van..so many times she fixes herself up..l am not kidding...l have had her for years
I love it when you're on the road. The landscapes and music go together so well. I think that town gained growth because of your videos.
Thank You for the breathtaking views, absolutely stunning..
You’ve got a jump ahead of the crew my friend, at age 50. Way ahead with the extra job you built up from scratch. Van Toys 😂🎉

The song you remembered from your childhood TV show was the Jeffersons
What Beauty.😊
The smoke from Canada has made it down here to Colorado! Air quality alerts here in the Springs. Unheard of.
beautiful country
Canada is so beautiful ❤

I was hoping that fires wouldn't affect your trip. Wishing you and Cruzie happy travels.
Oh good another Nomad to follow!!
I work near the artic circle amd it still pushing 38C here daily
😱🥵🥵🥵🥵
The weather is the same here in Edmonton and has been for a couple of weeks.
Moving on up to the east side... The jeffersons
Since you’re in the area go to Farewell Canyon. Epic views
Lillooet is mostly limestone rock Chrome. It used to be seabed floor before it was accreted onto the coast of British Columbia. It’s part of a story called Baja BC. A lot of it came from Mexico.
Been a long time since I heard the “ what’s up weirdos” stay strong man

I freaking love travel season and the vids you release!
Beautiful scenery 🎉
Unreal scenery! BC certainly is beautiful!
Rode that on my bike some years back heading back to Ontario. Now that I live out here I’ll be back . . .
Have you checked your air filter, could be full of dust?
Here.😊
Smithers....a town between Prince George and Terrace is quite the quaint little town.
I think you're on the right track making sure that the fuel filters are good. I would be looking for any fuel lines that are close to exhaust or the engine that may be boiling the fuel. You did say it was bloody hot!
Faulty gas cap, it shouldn't have pressure on it when you open it.
It sounds like your van had vapor lock, and when you opened the gas cap you released the vacuum pressure in the tank and now your van is running good again until it happens again.
Just air in the lines I’m guessing when you pumped gas from new tanks first time
There has been a correlation with fire and solar event near old lava fields.
Canada is definitely a beautiful blessed place. God took his time with the views. Even the Canadians personalities are so chill and calm. Stay blessed. One love from beautiful Trinidad and Tobago ❤ 🇹🇹.
So true!
If you were high up in the mountain the altitude could have caused the spudder
Hope they get the wild 🔥 under control soon 😢,
seeing as you had pressure in fuel tank when you removed the cap I would check the vent hose. make sure it didn't get pinched when reinstalling the fuel tank. safe travels.
Chrome you should reach out some them coming and see if could take out for a week or so I’ve seen other UA-camr vanlifers doing it!
Fire by Ashcroft is serious, very rapid. Be safe n smart .
Gorgeous through that route! I camped at Marble Canyon many years ago, with my 2 young kids. Those cliffs are spectacular in the morning sunrise.
1 more thing,,,if a fuel filter clogs up,,,it stays clogged and since it only happened the 1 time???
If the day was very hot and you have been running a long time my guess would be a vapor lock. It's not common these days, but way back when, it happened fairly regularly. At any rate I hope your problems are solved with that new fuel filter.
I'm LOVING this Journey ❤!!!!
Please be safe from the wildfires and the heat !

I miss British Columbia. My family lives on the Island and the Mainland.
With the new tanks is it possible you have an air/vacuum lock?

Wondering about VAPOR LOCK😧
Krome . Great to see u . I know I do not always post . I know u bizzzy out here .. stay strong . Just stopping. By to say hi .. and let ya know I am still here
You can call your channel Vancity Vanlife Plus. The plus is whatever the heck I want to do. 😂
could be a computer problem. maybe reprogram it 2 factory settings
