Those quilts should be apart of your "In Case of Emergency".. I would vacuum pack them away and Keep It..!!! Vacuum Packing will water and mold proof them.. They will shrink to a quarter of the size..

I think the suggestion that you get a type of vacuum seal bag for your unused comforter is a good idea. It will reduce the space needed to store it while keeping it clean and odor free (mostly) esp if you'll eventually give it away.
My thought too...if its wet when you need it...oops.
Vacuüm sealing your stuff also breaks the garment fibers... why not just put it in a nice pillow cover ?
you could always roll it up and use it as a big pillow
You can get compression bags and packing cubes that don't need vacuum, and as they're waterproof ads another level of protection that would far outweigh any garment fibre damage. Also, in summer, you're not even going to want 1 quilt so you'll need a storage solution regardless of 1 or 2. Compression/ space saver / packing cubes definitely the way to go

At the moment I’m more of a weekend warrior with my tiny Mercedes citan, but I do have a diesel heater, cozy even when it is freezing outside!

You can use your Jackery1000 to run your rice-cooker and then recharge it while you drive.
The 1000 runs rice cooker great, just did a 2 week northern Ontario trip and used the little rice cooker almost every day. Works well for other goods too, so many options. I have a small one from walmart I purchased 2 years ago, works perfect.
Those rocks form the Canadian Shield. ❤️🇨🇦. Keep your down quilt as an emergency backup should you lose your heat source.

I live near where the fires have been burning the mountain forest for over a month so been indoors except for 1 morning when air was moderate to do yard work. Constant gray sky from the smoke. Figs from my backyard taste like smoke now and not in a good way. Reason I brought this up is the moment you showed the big blue sky with white clouds made me so happy.

I know exactly how that feels. I'm asthmatic and last year and the beginning of this year here in Australia it was just like that. The sky was so grey and I felt so trapped (and then covid came along) but the sky eventually got blue and covid will go away too. Hang in the 2021 will be better. Hugs from Australia ❤️

Chrome, take it from an old Gramma whose DJ work was in vinyl, in the dark, mostly by feel and all in what came through an old analog headset....I love that board and the work you do with it!! I only found your site a couple months ago but already just really appreciate the quality. Our work was when the sun went down until closing time under the sparkle of a disco ball, playing Donna Summer, Sister Sledge and Do The Hustle (Van McCoy). I can't even approach the sound you create. 40 years have changed the world and it's beautiful! Keep it up!

Great video! I am so happy for you. You deserve your beautiful home. Please consider keeping your blanket at least for a year before donating it. If anything goes wrong with the heater on a cold night, you will be glad that you have it.

I just fired up my diesel heater yesterday for the first time. Literally fell asleep on the floor for an hour just basking in the heat.
I'm in Dallas, Texas and it's 88 degrees with 78 humidity in October so as I'm adjusting air conditioning to get me cooler I'm wishing I was in real winter weather.

Suggest putting both quilts in separate vacuum bags and store on top or just store one and keep the other with you just in case. You can also get a Military Wool Blanket from amazon and keep only that with you. Van hard and safe.
What about laying on one quilt and covering with the other? It adds more cushion to your mattress and protects it from sweat, and dry skin?
When you wake up and show us the temperature show us the voltage on the batteries so we can understand how much voltage it took through the night

Hey Chrome and Cruz...get a few suction vac bags to store your comforters in your roof top. It shrinks it and keep it clean. Also throw a few dryers sheet in before you seal it.

Geology lesson: The rock you noticed is the Canadian Shield. It spreads across part of Manitoba, all of Ontario, and Quebec. Geology dates the formation from 2.5 - 4.2 billion years. As well a meteorite struck the Sudbury region 1.6 - 1.9 billion years ago, adding rich mineral deposits. The Canadian Rockies are infants in comparison (8 - 55 million years).
Have you ever considered DJ’ing music live for your viewers on UA-cam or even Twitch every once and a while? I think that would be a dope way to interact and bump some tunes with your fans!
You should get some compression bags, the one big enough to keep some bedding, and clothings, so you can save some space and keep them still clean while you store them away.

I agree with keeping extra quilt on the bed and tuning heat down at night. I love a cold room for sleeping. I would not sleep well in a hot room. I am glad you like your new dry air heater though. You seem so happy being back on the road. Our gyms here in Wisconsin have limited hours.

Meanwhile, in the pnw, it's raining cats and dogs. I would advise getting one of those spacesaver like bags for that comforter you put in the rooftop carrier. It will help keep it dry (just in case).
