14:29 Stevie started feeling it Albert is looking with admiration in eyes smiles look over at his drummer and tell him come on Stevie finishes the solo with Albert turn around classic stuff
I started going to Albert king concerts when I was 12 (1980) - Palladium (Filmore East) I jumped the D train (The Bronx) snuck in to Palladium 50/50 made It to Front-Center. King got to know my face and would chuckle and smile when he saw me... Again! He played their w BB King and sometimes Bobby Blue Bland. Sometimes alone sometimes together. One or more of them played about ONCE A MONTH ! Whowha ! Security would say C'mon Kid - roll their eyes cuz they- knew I didn't have cash or s ticket... Again. I took this for advantage so much. Didn't hear this tune till CDs came out and I could afford them. This song Brings all of this back, reminds me of how lucky I was.
We're gonna take ya way back, ha ha I said we're gonna take ya way back Ha, ha (Let's start!) When the sunrise in the east, lover It set deeply in the west (Spoken: Oh, turn my organ down a-lil' bit so I can croon a lil' bit on ya) Oh, the sunrise in the east It set deeply in the west I've been lookin' for my lover An' I haven't found her yet I'm gonna call up China An' see if my woman's over there Well, I'm gonna call up China An' see if my woman's over there You know, I've searched the whole world over, Lord I can't find my lover, nowhere (hey-ya) She won't write me no letter She won't even call me on the telephone No, she won't write me no letter She won't even call me on the telephone You know I haven't had no real good lovin' Since that gal-a mine been gone (Spoken: I can't see my, engineer Hey, somebody! Someday baby, hahahaha You're gonna want me, like I want you Oh, someday baby, you're gonna want me, like I want you But when you call me long distance, darlin' I'll say I have nothing for you to do Someday baby, you're gonna want me, like I want you Hey, someday baby, you're gonna want me, like I want you Oh, but when ya call me on the phone, angel I'll say I have nothin' for you to do Woo, thank you!
People always talk about the couple of disparaging comments that Albert made about Hendrix when he was destroying guitars and such, but here he sounds like he respects and appreciates Jimi's playing. Granted the man was dead by the time of this video, but maybe Albert came around later.
Listen I believe whole heartedly that no one is better than SRV I say Jimmi Hendrxxx is next than Slash than albert king tell me if I'm lying? (Serious Question)
Albert king is pure poetry nuance and elegance
I think the only way I can get through my broken heart is by hearing blues music like this reviving my soul

Two legends never going to be anything like them again
The audio quality on this is unreal.
Iconic performance. When I found this I was so happy! This is a one of a kind recording!

When the sunrise in the east, lover

I can't find my lover, nowhere (hey-ya)
She won't write me no letter

No, she won't write me no letter
She won't even call me on the telephone
You know I haven't had no real good lovin'
Since that gal-a mine been gone

She always had her little glass……RIP Albert and SRV. This recording is a fucking gem.
Beautiful!!!
Stevie Ray Vaughan is the greatest blues guitarist that ever lived. That’s not my opinion. That’s a fact.
Monster tone from these two Giants. Electric Church.
How TF does this only have 198 (now) likes? This is epic stuff!.
I just found this. I give it a thumbs up.
Mark my words, I’m going to learn 10:05 , the fact I’m left in tears every time I hear this part should say enough alone.
Love it

Albert said "Mane how you play that guitar upside down mane?"

Better at what?

SRV could for sure out play Jimi. But without Jimi there would have been no SRV at least not the style he developed.
