It may not be “a good army” or however you phrased it, but as someone just picking up Sylvaneth because someone else goes “and this is Drycha, she’s a tree mech with angry bees.” This helps so immensely just having a starting direction for how to be trees.
These faction reviews are really good, I'm struggling to get a foot in the door with how little of a faction breakdown there is out there. Looking forward to the rest of the factions ❤
The best part about explaining your teleporting is when you have Tree revs and so after you go through that, you're like "now this unit just teleports whenever tf is wants"
OK so I'm looking at Sylvaneth things. Everdusk season gives Exploding 6s on melee when within 6 of overgrown terrain or tree. Drycha Hamadreth has 10 attacks on Swarm of Squirmlings that, on a 6, deal one mortal wound and "The attack sequence ends" My interpretation of that is that Drycha cannot gain the benefit of Everdusk season when using the swarm, is that correct? Because otherwise the only way I could see it is either 1 mortal wound + 1 normal wound or 2 mortal wounds.
Don't know her particular case, but according to rules when more than one effect from different ability trigger with the same imput (ex. Hit =6) you can only choose one
That's odd, did you get any sort of error message? It should have either asked if you wanted to join the discord or pulled you right to the list if you are already in our discord.
Thank you for the feedback! Below is the current FAQ description of "Strike and Fade" for anyone who needs some clarification. 😊 - " Allegiance Abilities, Battle Traits, From the Woodland Depths, Strike and Fade Change the rule to: ‘Once per turn, in your combat phase, immediately after a friendly Sylvaneth unit that is wholly within 9" of an overgrown terrain feature or friendly Awakened Wyldwood has fought and slain models (if any) have been removed from play (core rules, 14.2), you can remove that unit from the battlefield and set it up again more than 9" from all enemy units and wholly within 9" of either a different overgrown terrain feature that is more than 3" from all enemy units or a different friendly Awakened Wyldwood that is more than 3" from all enemy units.’ "
@EmptyWallets Thats it! This reminds me that the rules were updated to match the faq. I didn't understand the significance of the change till I came across it. For anyone wondering what that nuance is, they clarified strike and fade is after model removal NOT after slain( old rules) because some units can fight back after being slain but before being removed or other on slain effects. O and I really liked the describing the difference between spirit paths and hidden paths. I remember it took me forever before that clicked.
I really appreciate Gabe’s sweatshirt choice given the topic at hand 🌳

I'm working on a Drycha focused build rn. Not the best but god damn if I don't love Environmentalist Magneto 😂
That’s why I’m here 😉
