Here after Ding finally became world champion. The guy truly deserves to be in the place he is right now, and it feels so satisfying to see him finally get recognition.
Agree, especially considering all the struggles and perseverance he has put for the World Champion title.
Ding Dong
5:21
He grabs a pawn but he doesn’t grab a pawn coz he likes pawns 😆👏👏

This is one of the most stunning attacks I have ever seen! The coordination between Mr. Liren's pieces is just fantastic.
Mr. Ding actually...
Liren is his name. Ding is his surname. :)
I personally prefer Liren to Mr. Ding.
Mr ding dong

@Alex19781986 In Chinese both are ok
*In slightly upbeat, yet mostly monotone voice* "Hello everyone!" *In normal monotone voice* "And I do say 'Hello everyone' with such enthusiasm because today is a great day for chess."
Love you Agadmator :D
The extra enthusiasm would have been lost upon me without the following clarification. ; ) Great work Agadmator!
True. xD
His left eyebrow raised slightly
What :D

I think Ding Liren just re-invented chess. Relentless attack by the player with black pieces made possible by an early Queen sacrifice. Definitely an immortal. Wow, just wow! Thanks for finding and posting this.
Not really a sacrifice, but great game nonetheless
@@joedorben3504 I mean, hanging a queen that early in the game definitely is a sacrifice.
@@WilsonTexasRager No, it's not. A sacrifice would be if he gave up a queen for less material, he gave up a queen for equal material. So idk why ppl are calling it a sacrifice
@@joedorben3504 a pawn and a rook is worth less than a queen. ding did sacrifice the exchange.
@@efeercelik5811 go learn how to count, buddy. he gave up the queen for a rook, pawn, and a piece. that's 9 points of material, exactly how muhc a queen is worth
The number of attempted sacrifices was amazing. The fact that the only piece Ding successfully sacrificed is the Queen, and ending the game with both Knights, both Bishops, and both Rooks, all taking part in the Kinghunt, makes it a masterpiece.

Wow!
At 6:50. I just saw a knight pair and bishop pair.
It is anybody's dream to coordinate pieces like this
Rook pair as well.

This is probably the greatest chess game I have ever seen! This is the highest level of chess, I could play my whole life and never accomplish such a perfect set of moves.

This is one of the most beautiful games I have ever seen.
Looks like it's king hunt week at Agadmator Towers!
* Agadmator
Thanks, that's the second time I got our esteemed host's name wrong. *Learn to type, Herz*
lol
What do you call a Nimzo-Indian with the wrong move order?
The Nimzoswitch.
A. Khoja I could go for a nimzosandwich right now.. hunger.
Ding Liren is a Nimzo-Witch playing these moves
nimzo-*itch
Nimzoswitchian
The NimzoBitch opening
This is surely an immortal. It's very impressive when there is this much material imbalance on an open board and sharp calculations are made for the side with less material in attacking the king.

And now he is World Champ!
Now, he is the world champion!!!
"He doesn't grab a pawn because Ding Liren likes pawns" 🤣🤣🤣
3:13 Wei Yi 😂
Wei yi is an aggresive player so i see why he said that
I'm used to saying Wei Yi in games like this :D
It's a very Wei Yi thing to do, to be fair. Bye bye King.
In south africa it's racist. Anywhere else an honest mistake☺
All Chinese look same
A beautiful game loaded with amazing combinations. Ding Liren is destined for greatness and a future shot at becoming World Champion. Thank you for posting this game!

well predicted
back here after 2022 game vs Shirov. Interesting how in this game Ke2 lost Bai the game while in that one it helped him won!
Some people ask " whats the best channel in youtube?" -this :)"
5:21 "He doesn't grab a Pawn because Ding Liren likes Pawns."
I love your subtle humor.
Long time lurker and an avid watch of your channel. Thank you so much for providing such quality content !
and we can see your excitement about this game :D
Excellent video Antonio, you really make my days better, thanks , greetings from Brazil !

+Hallands Menved Thank you Hallands :)
I'm here from the future, Ding Liren is playing in the world championship right now
i wasn t aware of Ding Liren until world cup, where i loved how he was playing chess. He is such a good guy too...Really nice to see him in your channel! :D
My god this is the best game I ever seen! At last the black pieces win ;) and with such style. I like immortal games because they abuse the ultimate "win condition" of chess - that is mating the king rather than winning in other ways such as snowballing due to being down an exchange
Thank you for bringing me back here, Antonio. It's awesome to see the difference in the room and the quality of the video while featuring the same style of creating content through years and years. Keep it up Agad

It good to have a chess friend like Antonio
Today is a great day for chess, and therefore the world
It’s truly stunning to see that, even today, incredible lines are being discovered within some of the most well studied openings in chess
It is just an amazing game...
Seen such a game after a long time
You never disappoint ur viewers agad .
Keep up the good work
Great vid, great comments. A daily fixture for me since months ago and many more to come for sure. xx
A very beautiful game indeed. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks for the upload...
Awesome video. Through your videos chess is becoming more and more interesting.
Agadmator your pretty cool for helping me improve my chess. All the way from New Zealand.
"He doesn't grab the pawn because Ding Liren likes the pawns..." :D you're great man
Ding Liren is the world's chess champion in 2023!!!
What a beautiful game. Great performance by Liren as well during the Candidates this month
Every day is a great day when agadmator uploads!
Love your videos so much thanks alot for sharing such amazing games 🖒
This game will be immortal and become popular for a period, because Ding won the World Chess Champion today.
"And I do say hello everyone with such enthusiasm" lolll. Exact same as always.
A spectacular game to say the least. What an stunning attack from Ding!!! Coming here after chess.com published their list of Top-10 games of 2010s.
Wow, what an incredible game. Especially surprising was how accepting the sacrifices were the best moves, and yet white was lost early on.
Truly immortal ...thanks for this one
Nice to see CHESS still alive
I keep watching this game from time to time and it's always so good :)
very good game. not sure it's the best ever. but this is how every game ought to be played. fearless. thanks aga
fischer immortal :D
kasparov immortal :D
look them up and enjoyyyyy
Ding reminded me of Tal. Total madness all over the board.
Ding is definitely a less crazy version of Tal. He is a very talented tactical player but Tal is just in an attacking class by himself.
Wonderful video, thank you.
Beautiful King hunt. Thank you.
Does he see this entire line? Or just a feel he's "better" after the sac? Crazy either way
he probably assumed that Ke2 was losing,4 minor pieces and 2 rooks chasing the king in the middle of the board while the oppenent has no pieces developped should be winning...He probably calculated the Rd2 move and the Kd1(which loses easily)
Tbh, knowing how good Ding Liren’s prep usually is, my guess is that he expected the Rd2 line and had some prep for us that we didn’t get to see. Rd2 is the best move and so that’s likely the move Ding Liren expected considering a queen sac this early is certainly prep. Ke2 is a blunder here and I think Ding Liren probably looked at that move as it is definitely the type of move that a great player would think is good but a god amongst men would know is a blunder. He probably knew prior that it was a blunder and looked at a few ideas in the line. That being said It seems like Ding Liren is one of the best mid game players in the world. He reminds me of a young Kasparov where people would play him with their prepped lines and he would tear their preparation apart right in front of them
32 moves, half of 64 which is our favorite move number to end a game on.
I came back to this cause of the Jinshi-Shirov game you showed yesterday. I had forgotten how spectacular Ding's attack was. Truly an immortal
"The Hunt for the King" should be the name of this game. I love this game! awesome!
Beautiful attack... brilliant strategy. Great game
Quite an unbelievable game with all the sacrifices and the way the king is cornered and all the attacked pieces turned into attacking pieces. Immortal indeed
Magical!! I loved this one! Thank you!
THIS IS AWESOME !
Deserves to be an immortal game, what a beautiful well coordinated attack
Thank you for saying what is a immortal game :)
Absolutely amazing 👍
Jako dobro, svaka cast. Vec odavno imas subscribe od mene. Igre koje stavljas su odlicne i isto tako odlicno prolazis kroz njih.
Samo bih postavio neka pitanja jer vidim da dobro razumijes sah.
Zanima me koliko se unaprijedila tvoja igra gledajuci takve partije GM-a? Lp.
"He doesn't grab pawn because Ding Liren likes pawns."
idk why but made me laugh; was probs funny because of the name
Looking forward to seeing how Ding Liren fares in the Candidates. If he plays like this it should make for some entertaining games.
This is the one game where it would be totally interesting to see the computer evaluation of the positions at each step. Would the engine have seen all of this coming?
all of his minor pieces are working together. incredible play
really really nice and enjoyable game !
That's BEAUTIFUL game, really.
WOWOWOOWOW. I ACTUALLY ASKED WHAT'S IMMORTAL GAME, AND AGADMATOR SAW MY COMMENT!!!!
This was amazing
Every damn time one of his vids starts i say "hello everyone" with him.
Excellent. Astonishing.
In Chess, sometimes positons are perfectly described especially Opening or in this case: "The Chinese Immortal" f.e. at 6:00 I can't describe exactly why but this looks perfectly like it
One of the most beautiful immortals ever.
Nothing against but there's already a game known as The Chinese Inmortal, it was played by Liu Wenzhe (the father of the chinese school of chess) against J. H. Donner in the 1978 Chess Olympiad celebrated in Buenos Aires.
I like that a great chess game makes it a good day for the world in general
Fantastic! thanks.
3:22 "He doesnt gtab the pawn just because Ding Liren likes pawns"
Hahaha I thought he just liked that pawn tho.
I like pawns
I like pawns too.
That game was amazing. It was immortal before the rook sac!
It's chaotic beauty, probably the only true kind of beauty.
So who's here today for the prequel?
Great game! Fantastic attack
surely this game should be in the dark magic series
Bloody fantastic game!!!
Great Video
When I see the board I see a Dragon! Damn that was a fierce match!
Please analyze Rd2 blocking check. I can't seem to understand why it wasn't played. Seems better than Ke2 to me and idk much about using chess engines and stuff. So if you explain this line in more detail would be helpful :)
A brilliant attack and sacrifice!
3:12 ... the move that Wei Ji probably had to see ?? It is not Wei Ji, but Ding Liren playing :-)
Brilliant! Where did white mess up? Was this a sound sacrifice?
Holy cow! Amazing game. Of course anytime your king has to step in front of your bishop's only developing diagonal left available, it's going to be a bad day.
So, we have the Scotch, the French, and the English. What's the chinese opening called?
Agadmator speaking about Immortal can you please make a video of Barcza-Tal 1971 ?
Can you show the black perspective sometimes?
Rotate your monitor.
Ctrl+up arrow.
3:54 after Rd4, g4 would lead to mate because of g4+, Nxg4, Bxg4#. That's why h3 was played. To prevent the mate
Oh my god. Brilliant
Brilliant...
he played it rather like Shogi game, always aggressive, attacking the King, breaking the defesne by giving up value. Just amazing!
Wow, what a game!
All six pieces are in the attack ...great game :)
Wei Yi had to see ?! @ 3:14 Oops 😂😂
+Aditya Vadali I'm used to saying Wei Yi in crazy games :D
I caught that too lol. Wei Yi is the best Chinese GM
Where he ?
