      I just looked at this reply and read only up til "blow" and paused on it for 10 seconds, thinking you said "Knight only checkmates always blow."
      Took me 10 seconds to realize the sentence wasn't over.
      "My mind!" HA! You weren't being rude afterall! Nice comment. =)

    • @michelangeloadamantiel7685
      @michelangeloadamantiel7685 7 років тому +2

      I would like to kindly respond and point out some things with your comment:
      1. Jesus did not die on a cross. "The Non-Christian Cross" by J D Parsons goes into this topic at length, but basically, no one who read the bible back then EVER thought that Jesus died on a cross because the original Greek word is "stauros" meaning a single pole, not two pieces, and "crux" (Latin for "cross") was not used as a translation for this word until much later, and at first "crux" only meant "pole," not "cross" as we know it today. Ie, no one in Jesus' day thought he died on a cross. It was a pagan idea then and it is a pagan idea now. If you believe Jesus died on a cross, you're in the wrong religion.
      2. You don't know my deeds. Jesus does.
      3. "God is a just judge, and must punish you for these sins"
      Jesus said "Do not judge that you may not be judged." Watch it there, compadre. You are not my judge.
      4. "But God loves you, does not want to punish you." How do you know I'm not a full-on apostate? In that case my sin would be unforgiveable, as Jesus said about the unforgiveable sin. Judging me righteous without having any idea who I am is just as bad as judging be evil when you know nothing about me. If you want to please your Lord n Savior, stop copying and pasting robotic religious fiction.
      5. "Repent, and believe the Gospel."
      Repent and stop using the Lord's name in vain. Understand what Jesus' name really means, then you will not just hear what other people say and spit it out as if you're a religious conveyor belt.

    Boris Siff achieved master strength at a young age, but quit to enter the machinist trade. The first USCF rating list (November 20, 1950) shows his rating as 2162. Denker said that Boris had great talent for the game and would have become good had he continued chess. He's the only one I know to receive a USCF Senior Master certificate after the age of 70.

    I found this on a blogspot blog titled Tartajubow's blog:
    Boris Siff (May 6, 1911 - April 11,1998 in San Jose, California at the age of 86) was an interesting character whose main distinction was that he became a USCF Senior Master (over 2400) for the first time at the age of 72.

    WOW - WHAT a game. It's games like this that makes me, a poor player, appreciate the difference in at least the mentality of this level of player. It had always been drilled in to me - can't remember by whom or where from - you save/protect your queen pretty much at ANY cost. The super players say: looking at what is in front of me, you've had your time, b*tch, you're going down and any other piece goes the same way as long as I don't lose or hopefully win. 2x knight > 1 queen, 1 Bishop, 1 Knight and 2 rooks is the definition of insanity - or BRILLIANCE. Outstanding.

He lost along with most of the 30 other local players. 24 wins, 1 loss, 4 draws. The newspaper said they were all in awe of Kashdan and added a second event the next day. 17 players, 16 wins for Kashdan with 1 draw.

    Isaac Kashdan was a brilliant promoter and tournament organizer and director. He was the force behind the two Piatagorsky Cup Tournaments and the series of tournaments in Lone Pine California. For five decades he was the chess columnist for the Los Angeles Times. Please research the Piatagorsky Cup and Lone Pine Tournaments. There were many World Champions and championship contenders. It was said by many that Kash could have become World Champion, but he could not afford to travel to Europe to continue his playing career.

    White shifted all his pieces to the Queenside in the middlegame - he was asking for it. I doubt any 2200+ modern player would play like that and expect to get away with it. Still, lots of creative sacrifices, fun game.
