    Sir, you say that you are not a Dyson professional but from what I see you do in this video, I beg to differ ! Im not sure that I will ever clean my Dyson to this extent unless absolutely necessary but its nice to know how to do it if it ever becomes necessary. Thankyou very much again for the very informative videos...!!

    Note to self: 5:40 to disassemble canister. 16:37 to reassemble. Thanks for the best video out there on this issue. Very much appreciated.

    Thank you so much for this. The video was super high quality, detailed, and thorough and saved me hundreds of dollars replacing the vacuum since their parts are always out of stock. The only thing that was IMPORTANT WORTH MENTIONING WAS TO BE CAREFUL WHEN DISASSEMBLING THE CANISTER AS THERE IS A SMALL SPRING THAT JUMPS OUT for the grey button. Keep an close eye and do this in a closed space as that spring is important for allowing that grey button to be functional. But anyway this was a very detailed instruction with good camera angle, advice and equipment. Please keep up the great work!!!

    Thank you very much. This video was incredibly helpful! I had trouble opening my canister after this, not with the spring on the gray button but with the spring on the yellow post that slides down from the top handle button. I rotated the bottom of the spring to the yellow post counter clockwise (when looking top down), making sure the spring on the top stays in contact the way you point out at 17:59. This helped the yellow post slide down the outside of the clear canister, otherwise it gets stuck inside the clear canister. You can kind of see this at 18:45, where the slide gets pressed down and hits the black rubber gasket. After rotating the spring the post doesn’t hit this part anymore.
    I also used a metal putty knife (like for spackling drywall) instead of screwdriver when taking apart the lower and upper cyclone assemblies, the screwdriver was messing up the plastic on the dyson too much lol
    Seriously though, great video!

    I just wanted to say thank you, I have been looking for this detail breakdown of a Dyson for a while. I ended up buying a new Dyson after the Animal we got forever ago finally gave up the ghost and I could no longer get replacement parts for it. It is really stinky and needs a thorough cleaning. I have a new project to tackle over the holidays!

    You make it look so easy, I will be mindful about not breaking the plastic clips when popping apart certain areas.
    When you get a chance, please make a video on how to take apart the area that holds the brush roll. I have plenty of dust accumulating in that area.
    Bless you and your entire family.
    Thanks for the video.🥰

      @@NewParentsInTraining I cleaned the brush roll piece today. There's a motor involved so you have to be careful. And if you don't have T-15 drivers (star shaped), don't even attempt, the entire assembly is screwed using those drivers.

    dear sir, I've watched a lot of videos on cleaning my dyson, you did an excellent job at showing and explaining, but I wished you showed how to thoroughly clean the roller and the glass part of the roller.. your video was the best I've watched. Please make a video on how to take apart the roller at the botton and how to thoroughly clean it.. thank you for such a perfect video on how to clean the top part of my dyson.. I will tell my friends about your video..

    You don't need to go that deep to deep clean your Dyson. I separate the canister from the cyclone, pull the blue filter out go outside and use the water hose to wash everything turning upside-down the cyclone and filling it with water and emptying until the water comes out clean. Let everything dry overnight and reassemble it. Takes 10 minutes and prevents the risk of braking any plastic parts specially if it a couple of years old. Dyson parts replacement are very expensive.

      Good catch! Initially when I was taking everything apart, that spring was in there and I didn't try to remove it. However, it must've came off when I was washing the parts. I didn't realize until much later. I did briefly mentioned at 21:26 of the video that I forgot the spring 😂. It's in there really tight, I don't know how it came off... lol

      Make sure the spring is in the canister I briefly mentioned at 21:26 of the video regarding the spring. If you didn't take it out when you took it apart the first time, it should still be in there. Check that first.

      Assuming you haven’t thrown it away, burned it, or sold it by now, try to rotate the bottom of the post spring (he points to it at 18:11) counter clockwise, when looking from the top down. This did the trick for me.

    • @bigwangmark
      @bigwangmark 4 роки тому

      @@NewParentsInTraining No its under engineered. Rather sad for a company that claims to be a design company. New to dyson and they really are not worth the asking price with a lot of cheap plastics and parts that feel like they will break easy. I would love to deep clean it totally once a month but after watching this I think ill wait longer to do it.

    Nice video except you didn't cover the spring detent when snapping everything together. Probably the hardest part to get back in place.
    You do a disservice to everyone looking at this by not showing how hard it is to get that small spring back in place.

    • @NewParentsInTraining
      @NewParentsInTraining  4 роки тому

      Yes, you are right, that was my bad. It was toward much later part of filming, I realized the spring wasn't there. I thought the camera was rolling when I snapped the spring back, but it wasn't. I briefly mentioned at 21:26 of the video regarding the spring.

    • @jonelortiz268
      @jonelortiz268 3 роки тому

      I kindly disagree, yes he forgot to mention it when reassembling but made sure to mention it shortly thereafter. Partially removing the lower cyclone assembly, inserting the spring, and reassembling the lower and upper cyclone assemblies did the trick for me. Not a huge sticking point IMO
