I always set up a supply line from one of the first settlers in any given settlement to Sanctuary Hills. This means every settlement is connected to that single hub. I routinely clear out workbenches when visiting these settlements and dumping the culled resources into the SH workbench (having the "Fast Travel While Overencumbered" perk is obviously vital for this). I've never bothered to work out if this is a useful strategy, but it's what I do.
Another benefit to supply lines is, any excess of food and/or water produced in one settlement can count towards a connected settlement that is lacking in those resources.
Can you give settlers missile launchers and one missile for the unlimited ammo trick? It works for grenades but haven’t tried missile launchers yet. Guessing Fat Man’s are a no go as well. 😂
Missile launcher and Fat Man are marked to consume ammo when used by npc. Grenades and fusion cores are not limited, but npc could prioritize power armor over Gatling lazer.
My question about supply lines is are the provisioners at risk while traveling alone in the wasteland? I think you answered that as a NO, they are not.
They won't die on their travels (but). They do fight mutants, raiders and other enemies as the move around. They will come to your aid if they happen to be passing by and they will help defend your settlements as well. "You" can accidentally kill them yourself with friendly fire so you need to be aware of them. All my human provisioners have full sets heavy green combat armor with yellow flight helmets and are armed with tricked out plasma rifles. They are easier to distinguish in a group that way. I call them dandelions because of the colours and they are everywhere.
Do resources in one settlement show up on the resource list in the other settlements or are they automatically just removed from the other settlements inventory list

I use Graygarden and Mechanist's Lair as hubs for all my robot provisioners and make sure the two hubs have a supply line between them.

@@Felixx301 Well damn. Dunno how i missed that
Personally, i just build a robot for each supply line i wanna run. Obviously, you need the mechanist dlc for this though.
There is a common bug with this though. When a cell resets, you can lose all the mods on your robot turning it back into a basic protectron.
@@Navya420So don't waste materials upgrading them 🤷
robot workshop great way to make provisioners for supply lines

@@Alex_Smoker good info. Thanks

@@maxboo1I said dandelions in Sid's voice 😂
@@paulkopacz5051 I’ve killed a few provisioners accidentally with explosive ammo or grenades so be wary of that. 😂
So you can dump junk on a provisioner while walking the wasteland and he gets it to the workshop? How does that actually work?
Your settlement workshops will all be connected and share an inventory. Anything you want shared should be put into a connected settlement's workshop.
