Wow! Jessica your patience and perseverance paid off! What an amazing faux shiplap. Looks real without the cost! It’s easily replaceable too in case it goes out of style or you get tired of it. Tfs hugs 🤗 Josie
Thank you Josie! Yes exactly if I want to change it up later I just have to paint over! Easy to replace! Thanks for watching! Hope you have a great weekend! 💕☺️💕
Just a small amount of paint. I would recommended testing the technique out on some cardboard or foam board to get the look you want. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching! 💕☺️💕
I didn't want to put out the money for shiplap wood. So I went and looked on UA-cam at all the different ways of making shiplap on your wall. Yours was the best out of all of them. I have that tool in my tool box I knew I had to hold on to it for some reason. Beautifully done shiplap wall. Absolutely love it. Thank you so much
I love it Jessica! What a genius way to think out of the box! A graining tool can be a life saver. I love mine. I've used it for so many projects. TYFS! 💘💘💘
WOW WOW WOW WOW! I love how your wall came out. I have purchased IOD Sisters Barnwood Plank Stamps and did an accent wall with it was easier than I thought. What I love about your wall is 1. The direction (my husband wanted vertical planks) so that's what I did. I would have preferred that horizontal shiplap look. And 2. I love how you softened the colored texture with the white over it. I have another area to try (a much smaller area) and I am going to do it horizontally and will definitely soften my grayish paint with some of the white that's on the area. This wall is stunning!!!!!! I can't wait to see the finished room. Thanks for sharing!
you all probably dont give a shit but does anybody know of a tool to get back into an instagram account..? I was dumb lost the login password. I appreciate any assistance you can give me
@Santana Jordy I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and im in the hacking process now. Takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Amazing! I too just made my sharpie ship lap wall and it turned out so beautiful!! I had to record the process and upload it to my UA-cam channel so people can see how easy it is to do!
Thank you! I’m not sure about the ceiling. It’s like a a sitter starburst design on the ceiling. There is probably a better name for it but I don’t know lol thanks for watching! 💕☺️💕
Amazing! Joanna Gaines would be so proud of you! Aaaaand...... she would LOVE counting how many times you mention “ shiplap” her favorite word of all! You nailed the look! 🤗🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
Wow good for you to paint your own shiplap!! I finally convinced my daughter to do a faux white brick wallpaper but after all the spending it wasn't gonna fit in the budget. I don't think I have the patience to paint it lol! The wall looks amazing!!
Hey Jessica! Hope you’re doing great my friend! You did an awesome job on your wall! I really love how it turned out! Can’t wait to see the room all done! 😘💕💕
For some reason I never saw this video in my feed, I actually searched you to see if you had a new video up because I hadn't seen you in a few days. Hopefully I see your videos from now on!!! Love your channel ❤️
Wow this is such a cool and original idea thank you so much for filming and sharing it! I’ve painted faux brick before on a small scale (like 4 square feet) and it took forever. So props to you and your patience! I’d never thought of painting shiplap!!! You’re a genius! I found this video by searching “how to paint laminate to look like shiplap” and even tho this wasn’t what I was looking for, I discovered a new tool is never heard of- that wood paint brush thing is AWESOME! if I didn’t already have all of my laminate I would do this idea instead! I actually still might because it will save me the time from gluing laminate pieces to my walls but I don’t think I could afford another darker paint for the contrast and also that tool. (Tough times😅) I like this idea MUCH more tho. Its far better for the walls and won’t involve nailing/gluing anything in, wondering how I will take off my faux wall someday, or having to find all my studs and wires beforehand, or permanently placing heavy materials on my wall. I will DEFINITELY do this to another wall of mine, thank you for this!
I’m glad you liked this even though you weren’t looking for this tutorial exactly. 😁 I hope you find somewhere to try it out! Have a wonderful weekend! 😊
I wasn’t sure at first...but as like anything else (like when I’m drawing ✍🏻)...this turned out amazing!!! Great job! I need to share this with my sister! Thanks for all your tips and tricks! ♥️
