    This isn't as easy as she makes it seem. I'm glad I only chose two colors. Notice how she only shows doing the lower half of the wall. Up and down a latter with lots of colors, paint dripping, and no place to sit anything. You will need help. If you don't apply the paint heavily, it will dry out. Going back over things after the wall paint has dried, leaves marks or layers. If your wall gets sun, you will see them. It's better not to stop and start. The edges on the woolie dry out quickly. I will not try this again. And cleaning the woolie isn't easy either.

      Thanks for sharing. I think the Woolie may be great as a tool to have in my arsenal but I just do a base color and then add paint mixed with glazing medium and if you want more opaque paint but don’t want it to dry out quickly you add Flotrol to it. It’s extender so you have more time to move the paints. The glaze lets you create layers of paint.

    A lovely final effect - and thanks for all the tips!
    idk why, but when this video started I assumed it was a throwback TV episode from the 1970s or something. I can't put my finger on it, but it has a distinctly _retro_ feel - the lighting or audio maybe, the choice of 'lounge music', or the fact it doesn't feel like a 'real room' in a house but a studio which TV did a lot in the 70s. Anyhoo, strange tricks our brains play on us sometimes! 😂

    Does it have to be latex? Can it be eggshell?

    • @joeytongue3982
      @joeytongue3982 Рік тому

      Eggshell is sort of a gauge of surface appearance,,,,,,gloss=shiny somewhat reflective, semigloss, not as reflective,,,,,satin eggshell matte. They all pretty much determine how shiny the surface will be. Latex paint, acrylic, enamel ect all can be had with the different sheens. Latex would be my choice with the woolie. Enamel and acrylic would be difficult if not impossible to clean out of the woolie

    Seriously though, has anyone tried this technique in their homes? Did it give you the results you wanted? I saw a beautiful mottled green wall when out recently and thought it'd be beautiful in my own home, but I've never painted like that before. After watching some videos, I'm considering this Woolie but would like some feedback first. Thank you!
