I’ve had the 2.0 k400 coffee maker for over two years the only big trouble I had with it are defective k- cup packs.Some defective ones will rupture or bust open on the top foil where the needle presses in to pass the hot water.When i say defective I mean there seemed to be not enough adhesive seal around the k- cup.You will notice cause there will be a coffee ground mess an your clean the needle maintenance screen we appear.I have a high content of minerals in my tap water an the water filter that comes with the water reservoir keeps the unit working well so change them according to maintenance schedules.I recently did a descaling cleaning with vinegar an water an my unit was not as dirty as I thought it would be for the time l’ve had it.Changing those filters really helps.My coffee maker brews at least 3 to 4 12oz cups every morning.I can also tell u that it will take longer to brew a cup if u change the brew setting to strong brew because it will pump hot water a little slower and longer, an u can adjust water temperature on the menu settings, just go to water temperature or temperature setting.

Good overview of 2.0 system, however presenter said you cant stop brewing process once it starts...you CAN stop brewing process by holding down the power button.
If you want to improve on the free carafe that came with your Keurig go buy one of those cheap silver bubble insulating bags for transporting frozen/cold foods from your local grocery store(Aldi's sells them for $2 or $3). Unscrew the 4 screws on the bottom of the carafe & take it apart & cut that silver bubble insulation to fit around the inside of the bottom part of the carafe. I managed to get 2 layers in there. Then put the thing back together. It will help keep the coffee in that carafe hot. Cheers!
Great video. My new K550 lasted two weeks. The K-Carafe packs now only brew ten ounces on the machine. Best of luck to others with this new line.

Will someone in authority please give me a definitive answer regarding the existence of a replaceable water filer on the K400 model of the 2.0 machine. I’ve field-stripped mine but found nothing to replace and yet the machine keeps telling me to replace the filter. HOW and WHY have been my questions since I first bought it.
I don't use the filter because I use filtered water only, the only time you use the filter is used when you are using tap water. If you have a good water filter pitcher such as Brita or zero water you don't need to buy the filter it's a waste of money. I've had mine for 4 years with no issue.

Video was great but I wish that Keurig would make one that would take you from taking it out of the box to making that first cup of coffee...If there is one I couldn't find it.
FYI you can buy the empty kpods which allows you to use any coffee you want, and you are not forced to buy those overpriced pods. I have the exact Keurig for 4 years and I use my own kpods.

Johnny D No you don't. We have one and have nothing but trouble with it. Actually went out and bought a drip coffee maker because it is so fraught with problems. Needle apparatus is constantly getting stopped up, proprietary issues with pods overall? It is not worth the money or effort!

Seriously, they could have done so much more with this technology like make a machine that is capable of optimizing brew temperature, steep time, flow rate, etc and then partnering with the best coffee makers in the world to get the optimal settings for each brew and encoding that information on the lid to make the machine "OPTIONALLY" brew a better cup. This would have brought value added to the customer. Instead they angered their customer base by forcing premium prices! What the $&#^# are they thinking??? Boycott the check mark!!!! If they can't continue to innovate, they deserve no business share! Hack EVERY Keurig! Google Freedom Clip!!!!!

With the introduction of version 2 cups Keurig and Green Mountain should be boycotted and put out of business - as well as all their partners! There is nothing worse than corporate greed. Now only the huge players can get a Keurig "pedigree" to market their products, and Keurig charges them plenty to play! Consumers and small business get screwed. As one of many small, local coffee roasters, I will be hung out to dry, and my customers will be forced to drink overpriced, intentionally stale coffee! Boycott these losers and buy a generic coffee machine - support local business!
