We use it for about three people everyday in the morning. The taste and quick brew is one of the reasons we like it so much. There are so many choices of brands of coffee that we would grab what was on sale and test the different brands from there. I would definitely recommend trying different brands of coffee to find the ones you like the most because there are brands that quite frankly taste horrible.
If you want to improve on the free carafe that came with your Keurig go buy one of those cheap silver bubble insulating bags for transporting frozen/cold foods from your local grocery store(Aldi's sells them for $2 or $3). Unscrew the 4 screws on the bottom of the carafe & take it apart & cut that silver bubble insulation to fit around the inside of the bottom part of the carafe. I managed to get 2 layers in there. Then put the thing back together. It will help keep the coffee in that carafe hot. Cheers!
You can get a 'Freedom Clip' for free and that will allow it to read any k-cup, not just keurig. And this guy said he couldn't stop the brewing process once started. The directions say if you want to stop it, just hit the power button for 1 second or lift the brewer lid up and it will stop. Easy. I have no problems with mine. I like it. :)

The video was great as always, but please remove the music! It's extremely annoying and really detracts from the video as we want to hear you. My husband purchased this new machine for me from Costco, however it had to go back because it was leaking hot water, I couldn't get past the priming function. This machine is so similar to the Platinum with the added ability of making a potful. I would have loved to tried this. When I called Keruig on this issue I was on the phone for well over an hour on hold, they offered to call me back in 24 hours, they were inundated with calls about this new machine and the rep told me that there were a lot of calls on the same issue I was having. I declined a call back and just returned the machine for now, but may give it another try since I'm a Keruig fan.
Thanks to you and your review. I didn't know the water filter was an optional piece to purchase separately. I watched several videos and wondered why my machine didn't come with this filter.
+tjsocool yes you simply place it where u place the k cups with the machine off...raise and lower the top part so the needle can enter that device and it will rinse it
I sometimes use K-Cups but mainly brew my own, so, even though I was going to buy the K500, this is a turnoff for me, so I will stick with the Platinum until this is either corrected or my machine breaks. I understand Keurig wanting to expand their K-Cup business, but not at my expense. Don't like to be locked into a closed system.
my mom just got this one yesturday for i believe $20 as her previous one gave out yesturday all she did was bring in her old one to a bed bath and beyond in a garbage bag and they gave her a whole new one
You are wrong... the Vue packs do in fact work in the 2.0 machine... they just have to be the newly printed Vue packs with the special green dot on the lid. This machine will do the frothing and everything that some of the Vue machines did...
Just got a 350 as a gift. Heard so many negative reviews. Afraid to even open it. My 3 yr old Special edition is just fine. What is the diff between the 300 and 350?
I got one for Christmas and just brewed my very first Kcup... It tasted horrible :( it tasted burnt! I ran it through many different cycles and read the directions over and over again. This is brand new! I'm not sure what I should do.

Hi Brian, do you have a video on how to correctly insert the pod into the cylinder, We just bought the K300 brewer and every time we insert the pod and start brewing, the grounds are in both the machine and cup. We did spend alot of time with a keuring call centre without any help. Thanks Jan
Great video, it was very informative. I havent kept up with any updates but is the not being able to use old k-cups related to Keurig putting DRM on their k-cups? What about the issue of backwards compatibility? That is, will the new K-cups with the new DRM technology work on older models like the K-70? Thanks
Yes, they do work on the older machines, I have a platinum and since I couldn't get the new 2.0 to work I popped the new K-cup into my old machine and it worked fine. I have several boxes of K-cups and opened them to compare with the new boxes that came with the 2.0 and they are identical with the same DRM markings. Apparently the newer K-cups have been on the market for a while with the DRM coding in preparation for the new machine.

@@tvseriescoll there is a simple workaround for the scanner .. trick it with placing bright pink paper over the kcup whete scanner reads the embedded messaging colour Or buy a super clip that inserts into the scanner window space
personally I the carafe could've waited until new versions of k 2.0 I think one 80 oz size for all versions is sufficient going to smaller tank models are a step down
and to expand on the 2.0 commentary to sum it further i think they couldve made it more versatile in terms of handling the lavazza and cbtl mini capsule packs technically the keurig rivo can handle verissmo capsules
ours keeps getting plugged and no water is going through and that pisses you off at 430 am I have taken a paper clip to the needle run vinegar maybe its the Duncan donut k cup I don't know any ideas I would love to hear thanks for reading all of this sorry for the swearing

I am very disappointed in this model.. We bought one last Christmas and the pump went out after one week. We exchanged it for another, which was working fine for about 4 months. The touchscreen went blank so I unplugged it, which did the trick for a while.. Now the screen is scrambled and you cannot see where to touch to make coffee. trying to take this one back now.. The older models were so much better, will try and go back to one..
I hate this coffee maker so bad!!! It always needs a cleaning and the grounds always gets stuck. I just bought the freedom cup and even though I purchase a licences keurig it doesn't have the white bar to read it so it would accept it.
The sensors to detect proprietary cups is ridiculous and pointless. I'm lucky my 1.0 works great. What a dumb stunt to attempt to corner the market. This will simply kill the product's popularity. Whenever a product passes 20% market penetration, the company gets cocky and stupid like this.

Keurig 2.0 sucks. The old version was better. I have owned....count it, 4 of these brewing disasters and in the end the all end up brewing toxic tasting coffee. It doesn't matter if you clean it, descale it and so on. A few people have told me to use distilled water, which I will try next. I normally use Deerpark bottled water. This does fine for the first three or four weeks, then it tastes chemical like and bitter. I have taken three back to the store and this last one I got straight from the warehouse.
Everyone say it with me: Personal Choice Good, Heavy Handed Capitalism Bad! Give me value not restricted choice!!! Down with Keurig, Down with Keurig, Down with Keurig!!! Seriously, they could have done so much more with this technology like make a machine that is capable of optimizing brew temperature, steep time, flow rate, etc and then partnering with the best coffee makers in the world to get the optimal settings for each brew and encoding that information on the lid to make the machine "OPTIONALLY" brew a better cup. This would have brought value added to the customer. Instead they angered their customer base by forcing premium prices! What the $&#^# are they thinking??? Boycott the check mark!!!! If they can't continue to innovate, they deserve no business share! Hack EVERY Keurig! Google Freedom Clip!!!!!

This model is garbage. Can't remember how long ago I bought it, over a year ago anyways and the dispenser clogged 3 or 5 times. I still have an old original button push Keurig that has never had this issue. Also, this POS will not brew older k cups even though they fit. If you have the older models and are considering buying a newer keurig, based on this model I would suggets you keep the older one.

You forgot to mention the special orange cleaner part that comes with it so that u can submerge the needle in it to clean it. It has come in handy.

You can use BOTH old and new K Cups in the new Keurig 2.0 - the work around is very easy and all over UA-cam.

I use the "Perfect Pod EZ-Cup 2.0 Single Serve Coffee Filter" in my Keirug 2.0 K300 for Folgers and Maxwell House.

The incompatibility of k-cup is confusing, what if someone bought the wrong version of K-Cup. They should have made it backward compatible.

How do you clean it ? Over 200 cups have been made in mine and it's starting to slow down there's a lot of lime in the water it needs to be clean
I was going to get one of these but not after learning I cant use reusable filters or other brands of the kpacks. They just lost a sale.
