i love how the casting director was so inclusive for such a big series!! casting an acting student is such a big risk to take but anupam touched so many of us with his portrayal of the character ali. and hoyeon had no acting experience in the past and to make her such a vital character must have been a sure risk to take. love this show, how inclusive and how real it is
Realizing how embarrassingly American I am from being impressed that Anupam can speak more than 2 languages haha, hope his thesis went well! He seems a lot like Ali personality wise
a lot of the stuff like the shooting schedule is normal in South Korea though, up until Covid, most dramas are shot with only a 2-4 week buffer for episodes, only in the last couple of years have they started recording whole dramas before release and thats only certain production companies
If someone was like “yo, you could be in a show but you’ll have to seriously upkeep your body and do all this intensive stuff” I would agree immediately cause I wouldn’t exactly be able to quit yk
this is one of the best shows I have ever watched... terrifying yes, and brutal too... but something about it just hits the spot! I hope season 2 is as good as this one! We have high hopes!
The fact that there's no ridiculously obvious stunt double shots is amazing. Insane. You don't see that in America. They won't let an actor jump off a damn chair half the time. And wow, a Pakistani expat living in Korea, speaks the language fluently and also speaks perfect English. Holy hell, that dude has put in some work. Born and raised Americans I live next to know less fluent English than he does.
imagine if there's a real squid game happening in the world. The closest event I can think of is when a drug cartel forced men to fight to the death and the winner would become a hitman for the cartel
There is also this one haunted/tortument house that u have to leave within 8 hours without getting killed and u get a big amount of money. No one has been able to escape it yet but it's quite similar to squid game
smoll softie not without getting killed. They would have gotten shut down a long time ago before now if that was the case. No one has ever completed it because there is no end the guy behind it also said there is no money and it was a lie. People would just sign their lives away to be tortured and eventually tap out or they would make them leave because of injuries (like one guy almost having a heart attack)

Those are indeed very strict rules but they're not only for squid game cast. Most of K-dramas have these rules to produce real quality.
They all worked so hard for this series, and with the great successfulness of Squid Game, now they're going to be rewarded greatly!
Honestly one of the best shows ive ever watched in a while
Ikr, I watched it twice!
@@DjDestinyChicago wow, watch in korean dub?
@@Wonweina what
I kinda feel bad for the people who had to play as the staues, like imagine being put as cast member in a movie to only then be covered in paint and just stand there like a statue 😂
they earned alot in just few days of being models.
they were kinda hired just to do those parts tho and cos most of them were fully naked they got paid a lot
deeeeng ! player #456 got out of shape for this role!?. lol. salute to him! the entire cast did a great job
they all worked so hard and put in their best. i'm so proud of them, seeing them finally getting the recognition they deserve.
Having to organise all those people, sets and scenes must've been exhausting for everyone I'm glad that all their hard-work paid off!
i never noticed the statues in the vip room were real
@Movies Explore
lmao
I knew they were real people but I thought they had some type of full body suit on, not paint 😅
Ok, literally the WHOLE time I was like..are those people? No...are those PEOPLE??..Can't be. .
Damn... Mad respect for Deoksu's actor. That's insane, so glad this show got the hype it deserved.
The fact that Netflix only invested 20 million and earned 900 million in protfit is quite sad. Please pay your korean creators better netflix.
Real question, how do you calculate revenues for a Netflix series? I would assume most of the people seeing it already have a subscription.
@@maxrate4636 read the news.
The filming of the Squid Game feels like a the Squid Game itself…
So much respect for the actors!
The rules are interesting. They all have done so much hard work
I would just say that I have huge respect for all of them. It’s not easy to make a masterpiece 👏🏻
I cant's help falling in love with Sae Byuk's smile
I am an aspiring actor who works 15 hour days and come home every night exhausted while still having school and a side job and I have the most respect for these people out of anyone I’ve ever known, they triple my work and far surpass me in skill and I hope to one day hold even a candle to their brilliance!
Everyone did amazing. Their hard-work payed off and became one of the best shows on netflix (as I've been told that), can’t wait for season 2! 💗
And everything was worth it. Squid Game broke the internet, they deserve it. ❤️
it was all worth it in the end though..
Definitely was!
And I hope they all get well looked afterwards, not just their pay but get mental health help if they need it, filming can be full on
@@lizxu322 Definitely!
They did an awesome job tho because Squid Game is really popular now!
Wow thanks for saying I never knew!
I really hope people didn't give Heo Sung-tae (Deok su's actor) any hate because of his character! He went through so much and worked so hard! Truly amazing work
wow, I’m so glad the hard work paid off for the actors. We need a season two!!
"The expensive advertisement" I didn't see a single thing about Squid Game until now
All I'm hearing is confirmation that Netflix prioritizes money over the health and safety of their cast and crew. As per usual. Can confirm. IATSE in Canada, let's make sure we get this new media stuff worked out. We're being abused more and more with long days on set every day.
The making of Squid Game was itself a Squid Game.
This entire show was so amazing. The actors, film crew and directors are really something else.
Wow, new found respect for Doek-su. Gaining and losing that much weight in a short period of time is extremely hard on the body and mind.
The show was done soooo well and they had cast amazing actors! Even the actors in the background were amazing!
He had to gain 40 pounds and yet still the most hated character 😒
it's because he played his role very well, that's a good thing.
If you find yourself hating a villain from a show/movie that means they did their job well!
he’s the most hated CHARACTER not person think about that, also yeah these ppl are right he played his role really well
Nah it’s toilet girl
@@pemstudys4820 It's a close call lol.
The entire production has my all my respect. They all did a great job and worked very hard. And the entire series is just a whole masterpiece. ✨
Their hard work paid offffffffffffff!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ❤️❤️ actors were amazing !!
I finished this show today. 1 whole day of binge watching. The show makes you feel like you’re literally there.
i love how the casting director was so inclusive for such a big series!! casting an acting student is such a big risk to take but anupam touched so many of us with his portrayal of the character ali. and hoyeon had no acting experience in the past and to make her such a vital character must have been a sure risk to take. love this show, how inclusive and how real it is
Realizing how embarrassingly American I am from being impressed that Anupam can speak more than 2 languages haha, hope his thesis went well! He seems a lot like Ali personality wise
I’m obsessed with this show!!! I cannot wait for season 2 to come out!!!!
a lot of the stuff like the shooting schedule is normal in South Korea though, up until Covid, most dramas are shot with only a 2-4 week buffer for episodes, only in the last couple of years have they started recording whole dramas before release and thats only certain production companies
RESPECT to every single person on the show and behind the cameras. 👏🏼
Can we just appreciate that the actors spent all this time and energy to entertain us💜🥺✨
Round of applause 👏 to the dedication of these actor’s 💯 ❤️
Thank you !
And here I am, binge watching it in one go. 😬
If someone was like “yo, you could be in a show but you’ll have to seriously upkeep your body and do all this intensive stuff” I would agree immediately cause I wouldn’t exactly be able to quit yk
0:36 that’s what’s so amazing about movies/shows that aren’t American. They don’t rely on makeup and green screen. It’s always more realistically done
this is one of the best shows I have ever watched... terrifying yes, and brutal too... but something about it just hits the spot! I hope season 2 is as good as this one! We have high hopes!
Amazing ❤
Indeed
All these legends! ❤ hats off to the entire team 👏
Im glad the show blow up so much so each of them could get the sweet reward for the strugle. Well deserved.
I'm so glad that the series was a big hit. Their hardwork was worth it❤️🔥
The fact that there's no ridiculously obvious stunt double shots is amazing.
00:00:47 damnnn i did NOT expect gi huns body to be that fit OKAYYY🔥
It Was So Cool That Jimmy Fallon Met The Squid Game Cast!
imagine if there's a real squid game happening in the world. The closest event I can think of is when a drug cartel forced men to fight to the death and the winner would become a hitman for the cartel
the government in Abu Dhabi I think are doing one, just without death
There is also this one haunted/tortument house that u have to leave within 8 hours without getting killed and u get a big amount of money. No one has been able to escape it yet but it's quite similar to squid game
@@smollsoftie3881 mckamey manor
smoll softie not without getting killed.
Every of their sacrifices are worth it now. Gave their best to follow the rules from the game itself. I especially like the alcohol part! Chef kiss 💋!!
I liked it so much I was Korean for a week. Thanks for the fun.
Sae Byeok isn't from a different *region* from actress Jung Ho Yeon; Sae Byeok is from North Korea, which is a different *country*!!
You know north korea is not real country right?
@@KKrtt-xe4dh North Korea is a different country. North and South Korea are different countries.
N.k is a different country but people living in N.K are S.K citizens according to the law. Because N.K is considered as a terrorist organization.
@@성이름-m6v If your mention is a fact, is it possible SK government say that officially? or say that to NK politicians? I am also south Korean but never heard that.

This series is indeed a masterpiece. I also heard that they didn't use a stuntman in any scene.
Season 2 release might be at 6th august bcoz gi-hun's daughters birthday is at 6/08 we saw it when he ticked the horses

First and best K Drama I've seen.
Kudos to the actors, the team, everything.
