Apparently the original owners were looking to re-open a couple of years ago. Didn't work out from what I hear. It looks line the lodge (or part of it) is occupied on a regular basis during the summer. It's been well kept up.
Funny thing, when there are no members in attendance everything is locked up, no showers. But a sunshower bag off the gutter at the back of the building works very well!
Yes I do. The Islander came with a 24" wheel, difficult to reach from the cockpit coaming without having to stretch. I purchased a 36" wheel but it tends to get in the way when not in use. Easy enough to take it off at anchor or at the dock. It's a small cockpit and removing it opens up a lot of room.
Fantastic, thanks for sharing.
I have spent several summer kayaking trips in Barkley Sound and cannot wait to get back on my own sailboat again. Thanks for sharing!
Always wanted to see in the lodge , thanks Bert .
That old lodge still looks in decent shape, what a tragedy that it’s abandoned. Kinda wish you and your pal took the time to empty the wheelbarrow…:)

Editing as I type this. I'm hoping by the weekend.
Do you remove the wheel at the dock?
