Craig I remember those air fresheners. I had them in my Celica in the early 2000s. Of all places I was able to find them for short time at a Chevrolet Dealership around 2018 before disappearing in oblivion. I so miss this days of climbing in the Celica GT and smelling the air freshener and thumbing thru Super Street or Import Tuner. 😊
In the movie lore, what happened to the orange Supra after Dom drove off with it? If it was never specified, I’d love to see a video on how you would write the orange Supra off screen.
If you watch a short film called prelude turbo charged it shows what happened after the first film on how Brian got his skyline and got to Miami but either way there a newspaper that they found a orange Supra abandoned
@@geogarcia4097 no, the newspaper article was referring to the 3000 GT that was abandoned at the motel Brian was staying at before he got the R34. There was absolutely no mention of the Supra in that movie.

In 2008, I read a Wikipedia article on what was supposed to be Fast 4 and someone had actually gotten a pre-production draft of the script for the movie and published it on that Wikipedia article. It said that at the end of F&F, right before Dom escaped to Mexico, he linked up with a friend of his that had a shop somewhere in SoCal and traded the Supra for the Chevelle and then headed for the border and into Mexico. The portion of the Wikipedia article has long been deleted but that's been the only bit of info on what happened to the Supra.

Fast and Furious 4 I actually believe is one of the best movies in the franchise as it hasnt got too crazy at that point and was the last movie to have a proper street race.
What happened to some of the classic Mopars that made short but recurring appearances in the series?
Like the Road Runner/Satellite featured at the end of Tokyo Drift (and possibly the 4th movie) and Letty's AAR Cuda as examples.

Excellent video! I'm one of those people who's always curious about what happens to the car after the fact, especially so many years later! I have a suggestion for a future video. A lot of people make fun of the graphics on the cars from the Fast and Furious movies, so I was wondering if you could do a video where you show what graphics and decals were actually acceptable or highly desirable on JDM Cars and the tuner scene in the late 90s and early 2000s? The Graphics were Troy Lee Designs. He’s famous for doing graphics on MotoCross Helmets and bikes. He was very popular back then! 😎😎
I saw the original car in Munich last year. Took many photos and just stand and stare it for a long time.
You buy the car you can do what ever you like with it. Ferrari disagrees with that statement.
Went to Gatlinburg this past weekend and got to visit the Star cars and got to see and set and take pictures in the R34. I almost cried lol

One of the GTTs was for sale in KCMO a year or so after the movie came out for $33,000ish and I remember trying to convince my dad to buy it. It wasn't in super great shape but it was my favorite FNF car lol.

I also want early car show footage, with dates and locations if possible, and more original movie actual-photos. 😃🙏 Thankyou thankyou! 2001 me would be like, this channel is like an endless bonus feature section on a dvd! I love it! ^^ Always a fan of the 1st, AND that era of movies in general. I also (because of cars) loved most of the 2nd, except the 2nd movie already had me tired of stunts, which made me wish Tokyo Drift had less crash stunts. Other than my bias, really not much wrong with it. Hulkmobile, yikes. I could digress all day. Ultimately, I love all memories of the 1st movie (and that car show era) religiously. AND I like Initial D (because of FF1). I used to play that arcade in the early 00s, all the time with my friends.
It's difficult to _not_ remember the fourth movie as it has one hell of an opening (only rivaling the 7th) and has essentially the same plot as the second flick. That blue Skyline in the Braga "audition" race always is neat to watch until Brian keeps yelling at the car's GPS. ._.
$1.3M for a perfectly restored GTR from a great movie is.... fair. It's something I'd expect to see on an episode of Mecum Auctions. It was so shiny!!!

What are your thoughts on the SUV-ification of all new vehicle models, BlackPanthaa has a video on it already, but he's british, I would want to know your point of view.
The main points are the lack of efficiency of those cars that have to carry astronomical weight, the dangers for drivers of smaller vehicles, and the extra space they take on the urban infrastructure.
It would be interesting if you could make a video on Morimoto's Nissan 350z from Tokyo Drift not much mentioned about it as it had little screen time in the movie
Curious as to why they used GT-T variant ER34s when they could have just gotten NA automatic HR34s and ER34s even cheaper than the turbo counterparts. But then again back then turbo coupes were only going for 10k USD here in Japan
But NAs maybe just 5k then?

I recall seeing the the "dune buggy" gtr on Craigslist a long time ago in the LA area. I wanted to buy it, but got cold feet because I felt it had scammer vibes due to the low quality pics. Still had the VW engine in it too.
Good explanation for this car! Was just strange to me at the time I watched the movie in theaters, they show an R35 GTR and you think Brian will get the new R35 GTR but then he still ends up with an R34.

I got to drive one of the well best preserved GTT rep after movie, bone stock, other than bayside GTR kit. I went to buy one, but only the exploded one was available to me, lol. I also went to see a different KAIZO car for my own purchase, which was a fully intact GTR(never motor out), but looked like a hard life condition dubious origin grade
The blue Skyline from Fast 4, As well as the Subaru from Fast 4.
And the Monte Carlo from Tokyo Drift.
Are, and will always be. My personal favorites.
With the short lived 71 Ford Maverick from (i think) Fast 5 coming right after them.
That one also grabbed my attention during the short moment i saw it, since that model Maverick is a car i liked since i was a child.

It's kind of similar to Power Rangers. That Power Rangers used to be filmed in California and then in 2003 they moved to New Zealand.

I own almost all the parts including magden, ROTORA brakes, OMP seats, etc.

I know it's a little detal, but i wonder why they did install two reverse lights on the GTR, maybe to match all the GTTs, was probably easier than, installing the red lense on all the stunt cars, if they where destroyed anyways :)

Yes I think it's the black one now owned by Chrome Cars. It was on display at the Brussels Autoshow a few months ago. I took pictures of it and spoke with one of their crew members. He said it was another real R34 from the movie and they're going to restore it back to movie condition

Australia, Aus has some of the fastest Gtr’s and other JDM’s they’ve headed over since the 90’s. Lots of muscle cars and euro’s as well

Hey Craig, what do you know about the black R34 now owned by Chrome Cars? It was on display a few months ago at the Brussels Autoshow. They said it’s an original GT-R used in FnF4. They’re going to restore it back to movie condition. I have a few pictures of it if you want to see them.
That was the original Hero one car GTR from Graig .
I bet Craig knows way more about that specific unit, and he already has a handful of pictures.
