Thanks Goran. I've been wanting to see somebody post a good video of this. At 9:30 after first attempt fitting pump the sprocket splines bound up. Could pre-lubricating shaft with grease on pump avoid this?

How many degrees BTDC is the static start of injection? How much does it advance to at full rpm?

Hello @Dieselmeken, Hello Internet. Could someone please tell what's causing some harsh vibrations on an OM 605.960 ERE when it gets to nominal working temperature (80C-90C), as soon as I turn the AC on the vibrations stops or become unnoticeable. Noticed that the more electricity I draw from the engine the less vibrations I get, I mean even turning the lights on reduces the vibrations proportionally.
So swapping over to the mechanical pump i understand... what about the injectors? To make it run completely without electronics would you not need to swap over to mechanical injectors as well? I'm trying to google this but having a hard time finding the needed material for my research.
the timing tool is pretty expensive... but if i get everthing right... it must be possible to do the same trick with the locking tool, or am i wrong?

Yes you can remove it :D No seriously , you dont need the ECU with mechanical pump
What electronic tool are you using to time pump? what's specification for timing degrees?
typically 14.5 for edc pump 11-13 for mechanical injection pump swaps , best to ask dieselmpumpuk

Forstår ikke😅 du brukte mye elektronikk. Hva med og sette motoren først 10-12 grader etter øvre døpungt. Ta ut pompan og sette in den nye og justere riktig da?

Írok hátha akad itt magyar aki tudja választ a kérdésemre. mikor ellenőrzi a tárcsán a fokolást de hiányzik a blokkra felszerelt kis lemez. akkor a menetes furat közepéhez nézi a fokolást?
Igen. Normál esetben egy hegyesre munkált stift van a furatban, a fokolást hiányzó stiftnél ezért a furatközépponthoz kell állítani.

Chris Wall It's a ""Diesel injection static position indicator"and can be purchased here, the only website I could find and it's pretty expensive. But I do believe there's more websites that offer these and I'm pretty sure MB themselves offer this tool at a more reasonable price ($200-300)
