    These sedans are probably some of the best looking 4-doors to come out of the seventies. I'm happy with my XJS6 4.0 coupe, but I'd love to have one of these as well one day.

    DJI, best Drone out there👍
    I'm looking at a series one tomorrow. I have a series two which I reckon looks better with the smaller grill.
    Jags are sweet rides. I had the v12 before I converted to a 350 but wish I persevered with the V12.

    Very nicely done ! As a well known celebrity and car collector would say. Couple of points l don't agree with but it's not my car. Regarding the boot you close it and press down firmly to shut the boot. It won't shut by slamming because you trap the air and it causes positive pressure thus preventing it to shut. There should be a label that shows the shutting process. ( you got wawy with it because the number plate grommets were missing ) Thanks for sharing .

    Real Nice looking
    I've a series II that's going to get a small block.
    'just bought a series III with the engine/trans I'm going to use.
    Have you seen the 7" fender headlights in these cars?
    They make it look way different.

    When I was 20 years old I used to drive my dad's xj6, I'm 62 years old now and I now own the jaguar and I'm restoring it, 1980 my dad and I put a 350 Chevy in it, I think there was a Ford pickup truck radiator with the fan, just curious what radiator and electric fan combination did you put in yours

    • @ThePhotographersGarage
      @ThePhotographersGarage  3 роки тому +2

      Honestly all not sure. They where both installed prior to my ownership. The fan is a single pusher electric fan. It works just fine but here in California in the summer a puller with a shroud would be helpful. It never boils over with this set up, but more wouldn't hurt

    Love the car!! Hope you see my comment. Did you modify the suspension at all to get the tires to fill the wheel wells? If you did or didn’t, what size Tire and wheel did you use?

    • @ThePhotographersGarage
      @ThePhotographersGarage  Рік тому

      Thanks dude! So the entire build was done by the prior owner, so I have no clue about the suspension set up, but it for sure felt lower than stock. The wheels are the factory alloy wheels off an XJ-S coupe.

    A lovely car. And I don't mean to sound like a boring purist, but I can't say I really approve of putting a Chevy lump in a Jag.
    But it is a lovely looking car. It does you proud. Looks like the interior from a Series III. Is it? The grey is nice. The flawless black paint is nicer still. And don't listen to those urging bigger wheels. You lose the magic carpet ride, which is half the experience. Those black XJS wheels look good too.
    And shut the bonnet from the front, rather than the side. After a while the bonnet twists ever so slightly and whenever you hit a bump it pops open on that side. Which is infuriating.
    But like I say, it's a lovely, lovely car.

    To get the tach to read properly, did you go the wired-in-resistor route? I’d rather not buy a different gauge if I can help it

    • @ThePhotographersGarage
      @ThePhotographersGarage  3 роки тому +1

      you know I'm not sure what was used. The conversion was done prior to me buying the car, and the prior owner was pretty in the dark on most of the technical aspects

    Nice as f**k, just up my alley, but I would have other wheels, some more modern cross spoked matte gold 18" and lowered! I understand why the swap to a V8, but a renovated and tuned 4.2l straight 6 sounds so much better with a performance exhaust!
    But it is great as it is, the mirror finish paint work looks great!
