- It's the Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court and Michael has brought along his Grandfather's 1968 Jaguar XJ6 - Series 1. His daily car at it's launch - a perfect car to bring to the concours event, 50 years after it's launch.

Beautiful car - Sir William is one of my heroes! I've owned several Jaguars, including a blue series 1 XJ. I remember having the privilege of sitting in PHP42G many years ago in Browns Lane - along with my children, who were also Jaguar fans!. Beautiful
Your grandad was a legend, a passion for iconic design and performance in the jaguar mark, at a reasonable price, my late father had the same colour in the 70s and 80"s a J reg 4.2 , lovely cars the series 1

Sir, l had a 4.2 automatic in Ascot Fawn . Without doubt the most complete car one could wish for. I regularly drove a Silver Wraith ( LWB Shadow) and for me there was no comparison. And there still isn't!
Beautiful design car......No idea why so many chose this horrible brown colour at the time...I guess it was the 1970s and everything was brown or orange or both..
