Agreed. The series 2 is so underrated and under valued. I have a low mileage series 2 SWB and just love it. Have just found you on UA-cam. Great videos, keep them coming. Chris NZ
Great cars. The Series 1 was always my favourite XJ. My Step Dad had a 1970 manual XJ6 when I was a kid in the early 80s. The Series 1 XJ12 one of my favourite Jags of all time. Shame about the standard 3 speed auto which strangles the performance of the brilliant 5.3 V12 and terrible for fuel economy.
Series one xj6 is one of the best looking 4 door sedans ever made and still quite affordable. Not to hard to maintain if you've got a bit of mechanical aptitude and enthusiasm. Love the E types too but they are just wayyyy to expensive!
Quel chance vous avez de trouver ces merveilles !..moi qui adore les Jaguars xj surtout en serie 1...les plus belles !...mais chez nous en France plus difficile a trouver.evidement...
I've been wondering for many years what happened to that old green bitsa XJ12 after I sold it to a bloke in Orange. Who'd've thought I could type "XJ12" into youtube and see a video of a bloke finding it in a shed at the other end of the state.
@@tjmthejagmandownunder It certainly piqued my interest. I was pretty sure as soon as I saw the video that it was the one but figured I better check on some old photo's and papers to confirm some minute unique details just to be one hundred percent and they matched precisely. From the video it seems that very little has changed on it since it left my hands back in the mid 2000's. Mind you, a fair bit changed on it between when I bought it out of Sydney and when I sold it to Scott in Orange (including the awful black-ish lounge suite leather trimmed seats it currently has which came from another car of mine). I had two green S1 XJ12's in the garage at the time, kind of cool seeing this one again, I was hoping it wasn't dead.
I saw that series1 that you said used to be yours advertised recently but no motor or running gear from what I could see in the ad. More importantly what’s under the other blue tarps?
Hi Greg Yes it didn't have a motor or gearbox when I sold it. I understand both front and rear undercarriage were reconditioned though. Blue tarps? TBA
I have been asked not disclose price but they were bargains. Yes plan to go to Ben's place for an update. He has already fired up the six and sounds sweet. Thanks for your interest
Happy for you, great purchase of two JAG
What a combination, an XJ12 in Britsh Racing Green with quad Strombergs ❤

Fantastic find. It is so much better to start with a unmessed-with car.
Just bought a Jaguar XJ12 1978 that had been parked after it ran out of rego in 2014, pick it up on the weekend, has a vinyl roof and a sunroof
Pretty amazing barn finds, I 'd say. Thumb up!
Thanks 👍
Great they are now with someone that'll do something with them. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching!

You should have called in for a beer, you weren't too far from me at Old Bar
Next time Warren! Was on a bit of mission this drive
Beautiful find and cars!
I have to say I was not surprised at all when you said that you had once owned that old Jag!
😁

I have the same....
What did he pay for them? Also do a follow up when he starts them.
