Two don't miss Sierra Nevada Shuttles you can do in One day! - Mount Hough & Mills Peak

- I was really stoked to meet Rich from the @SemiSendy channel when he said he was coming to Downieville. However, I figured it would be really fun for him to ride some of the other lesser known downhill shuttles in the Sierra's. Mt. Hough and Mills Peak are close by so we made a day out of it. One of these runs ended up being his favorite from the whole trip!

Definitely my favorite day from that trip! Mill Creek was one of my favorites in that whole region.
Glad ya had a good time on Mills Peak. Definitely one of my favorites around as well.
You deserve so much more attention on UA-cam! Such a great creator! Wish you all the best, take care!
Thanks man. Wish the UA-cam gods would catch on too!
Love Mt Hough. Couple laps and then over to Quintopia for a beer and a chicken sandwich. Memorial Day weekend! 🚲💨
Nice! I like that there are two different routes down now too!
So good. Love it that you rode with semi Sendy he is a cool dude.
Definitely a super rad guy.
Good times Robert. Semi Sendy is a great rider.
He definitely is. 🤘
Missed this Biker content!! Thanks man!!!
More to come!
Damn UA-cam algorithm!! I subscribe and have alerts set and this has only now popped up, almost two weeks after it was published!! Loving the videos dude. Keep it up!!
I’ve heard that from a few people. I swear UA-cam has something against me. 😂
We've had one of the wettest summers in NZ's North Island, and to top that off the loggers have moved into the local Bike Trails, which means they closed it for the next 6 months! Watching this has eased some of the Pain of not riding as much as I want to.........but at the same time makes me want to go for a ride!!!
Right on man! I know the feeling 🤘
Mills Peak looks so good!
Honestly my favorite trail in our area. So much fun.
Awesome video!!!!! I could watch your videos all day. I love the way you talk during the ride.
Glad you enjoy it!
yo dude! your vids are awesome! just moved here not to long ago and your vids are a huge help for me to know the good spots.
Glad you like them!
Bro Looks So Rad!!🤘🏽
Appreciate it!!
Must visit Mt. Hough one day. That's my type of dh. lol Great vlog,Rob.
Right on, it's super fun. Plus they should have the new route that goes almost the whole run open next season so if you go and do two laps they won't be the same run.
Would love to get out there to ride! Fingers crossed and a much less damaging fire season in 2023. We have been hit hard in Colorado the last few years too.
At this point a lot of the good stuff locally has burned…so I guess we are good for awhile 🤷♂️😂
You have the best laugh ever!
Thanks! 🤘
wait what, it's over? All ready? great vid, could have watched more, my kind of trail, not too much spice, but not a gravel path either
Hahahah! Patreon has the extended cut!
I need to take that ride 🤙🏻 looks like a blast
Definitely a good time. Might not be open til later this season from how much snow we’ve got.
At this point, it's probably gonna be July until Downieville is running. Sooooo much snow.
I also agree, Downieville is amazing, but Mills Peaks has my heart!
Definitely
Not sure how to turn the beep off but I can tell you it is always worth a laugh at this one spot on the paved road that it registers a 30ft jump for me....every time.
Edit: I too am not a fan of heights
Yeah, it’s funny when it beeps for no reason
I couldn't get out for a ride today - this was 2nd best. The trails look primo
Good times were had 🤘
Awesome video, love your channel! I'm fairly new to mountain biking; between Downieville, Mt. Hough and Mills Peak, which trail would you say is the easiest?
Mt. Hough by a long shot.
MT Houghs new trail makes it soooo good... 20x better.... Did you ride Tollgate? Faster and chunkier too
I heard that should be top to bottom next season. So it will be two different runs. With a little overlap.
@@B1KER replaces the up and down on the bottom and it becomes full speed downhill. It’s so awesome I did it last summer when it just opened.
@@alexdesignz09 We went in the beginning of it by accident but didn’t know where it went. That’s the bottom half. I was told there should be a top half this season.
Sick trails!
How did you mount your garmin to your stem?
I've been looking for a clean way to do that as don't want to replace my top cap with the mount I used to use on old bike.
Thanks!
Never mind, just rewatched and saw your setup
Best Tek Garmin Stem Mount: amzn.to/3YWBBgi
Is the 30 miles from one run of each, or did you do more of Mills? That's a big day! Thanks.
One run of Mt. Hough and 2 of Mills. My total ride was 35 miles so I took off 5 miles because we had to pedal back to the shop in Quincy. Otherwise it was all DH.
Hey what Garmin Mount do you use I like how centered it is.
amzn.to/3XM5YFG
The only downside is it comes black but after awhile the sun changes the color. But it’s under your Garmin so you don’t see it.
Awesome thanks
@@Myyst0211 Also, if you run a super short stem you will have to lower the stem and put a spacer above it to get it to fit.
Riding through the toothpick factory! It does seem to show just how quickly a fire can spread. I imagine even more birds will be building nests on homes for humans and other wildlife will have less cover....
Definitely, the thing is...these forests have been burning for a long time and they grow back. It's just part of the cycle.
@@B1KER no pun intended! Haha!
I got over my fear of heights by going skydiving.
There ya go. Or I’d have a heart attack.
Same! #lifechanging
