tejas thapa actually the iPhone X has the brighter screen at 625 bits. The note 8 is only 580 nits. What many people get confused with is that the note 8 is capable of having small portions of the screen go up to 1200 nits for limited time. For example when watching hdr content something that’s really bright and small like the sun in the background can display a really high nit brightness. But for overall screen brightness the iPhone wins
Also The note 8 doesn’t even support Dolby vision like the iPhone X lol. Samsung’s hdr game is weak

ramy hassan it only reaches 1200 nits on 1% window mode meaning 1% of the pixels on screen actually reach 1200 nits the rest don’t... it’s confusing... the actual real scene brightness only reaches around 600nits close to the iPhone or on par. If you don’t believe me go to displaymates website where there’s an article for the note 8 and it’s display brightness.
Michael Murphy dude the note8 is much brighter in direct sunlight. It's only indoors where the iPhone is brighter. I much prefer Samsung's approach.

You lost me with the display. I think everyone can agree Samsung screens are the best in the business. So good it's being used on the iPhone X. It isn't Samsung's best display though, they saved that for their own.. The note 8! So, while beautiful amoled displays may be new for Apple users.. It has never been for Android.

Haha nice joke man, but seriously the Note 8 is slower than the X. If you do your research and actually test out both phones, Iphone X is faster with and without base wifi. An average of 53% to be exact.

With gigabit speed u can download a 2 hour movie, in bout 15 seconds... They IPhone chip set cannot do that...

iPhone X and Samsung Note 8 are both excellent phones! It all comes down to personal preference. I personally have the IPhone X and I do enjoy and like it. I think that the Note 8 visually looks beautiful and the screen display seems to be brighter and sharper. I like the size of the IPhone X compared to the Note 8. If I wanted a long bar style phone, I would have just kept the IPhone 6 Plus which was my previous phone. Note 8 perk is that it has expandable memory slot which is not available with IPhones. IMessage and FaceTime is something that I use often especially with people out of country with IPhones. Since it is a default application, there is no need to contact the other party to tell them to download an app. Stylus is of no use to me however I understand that if you are business oriented person, it could help using the Note 8 features much easier. One thing Apple came out with that I think they should not have is the Apple Pen! That was what S.J Was trying to avoid when creating the IPhone. He didn’t want stylus with his products! Now u have an option to spend $100cdn so that u can use it with your IPad! That is just silly! Back to the phones, like I said, both the IPhone X and Note 8 are great and beautiful phones. Both worth the money and both will give you hours of entertainment. No need to put down which is better, as both will satisfy. Yes, IOS is for dummies but that's great, less headaches. Android you can customize but really, how many people actually take advantage of the so called customization to the max? Anyways, enjoy whichever phone you decide to get, CHEERS and Enjoy the rest of 2017!

I love my note 8 ✍I will never iPhone i gave it a try on the 7 plus...Only lasted 2 months of used..it's irritating couldn't even copy and paste sometimes. Can't download videos on to your library. Can't split screen. And it's not water proof. Can't customize home screen by hiding apps. It's garbage and I know that the x isn't much of a difference other than the screen. Fuck iPhone it's not about me being a android dick rider it's about quality of what you can do with a phone for what money you pay for. It's more of a no brainer.

The screen itself is calibrated by Apple, which managed to do it better than Samsung. Do a quick Google search and DisplayMate will show you that you are wrong.
zty no I'm not wrong you need to do your research. Apple pay Samsung over $130 per phone to get their OLED screens made. Apple doesn't make OLED screens and Samsung owns 90% of the OLED screen Market. Samsung has a monopoly on the OLED screen, so Apple has invested 2 billion dollars with LG so they can make their own screens by 2019. Samsung also makes the chips and the processors for Apple. So because your Apple fanboy that doesn't mean that you're right. I am right and you are wrong, mate.
Alonzo 1219 THE U FAMILY I did not say Apple MAKES OLED screens. They buy OLED screens from Samsung but they CALIBRATE it themselves, thus the difference. Otherwise Samsung's phones would have identical screens as the iPhone X. But since Apple CALIBRATED the X's screen and did it better than Samsung, the iPhone X has a better screen. Shin Chan the note 8 feels just as good in the hand as the x because of its curved edges.. the cameras are different on the s8 and note 8 and you should get an iPhone x if you don't mind spending 1,000 for basic features and being locked into what apple allows you to do or get am s8 if you like a feature packed larger, sharper display..

I’m so confused on what to get!! Please help me!!! I love Apple because of how easy their products communicate with each other (eg airdrop which I use a lot). But the note 8 has really got my attention with the multi tasking with 2 different apps. The note 8 also got my attention because of how customisable it is. Although if I do switch to the note 8 my cables which are lighting wouldn’t make sense to my phone only my iPads and iPods (lol I still use iPods, but only for music when I go to the gym). Can you guys please help me on which one I should choose!!

You gotta hold the home button, then the red light at the top of the screen will flash, make sure your looking toward the top half of the phone. If you do this, your phone will unlock in literally 1 second. It's super quick. Way quicker than swip to unlock.

I have the iPhone x and as of now I haven’t heard a single complaint about the iPhone x,both displays are amazing,I prefer having real life colors and non saturated colors than having saturated colors,colors are way to bright
