Everyone keeps asking why Michael holds up a different number of fingers from what he's saying, and he's being coy about it and not explaining...so I will. This is a very common technique used in NLP hypnosis, a "confusion" technique. There are different ways of creating confusion, but the goal is to get the conscious mind so off balance that it will just step aside and let the unconscious mind (which is much more accepting of suggestions and of anomalous data) take over. And when that happens...you're in trance. You can see the same principle at work when a hypnotist puts out his hand to "shake", then yanks the subject off balance and catches them as they fall into a trance. It's the being off balance unexpectedly that does it. As you stumble forward, your conscious mind is confused; it was expecting a handshake and now you're stumbling instead. It steps aside for a moment. In that moment, the hypnotist commands, "SLEEP!" and your unconscious mind responds.
This video is genuinely good if you want to dip your toes into hypnosis for the first time! I felt going deeper and deeper as i progressed and reached a state of complete body relaxation which is genuinely difficult if i tried to force myself.

WOW... that was bizarre... I'm still trying to come back to reality. I do mindfulness mediation daily and this was totally different. I definitely went into a trance very quickly. Now I need to come up with a plan on how to reprogram during the trance.
You can give yourself suggestions while in trance, although it's best just to focus on one goal for each session, and also keep the suggestion short. We don't want our conscious mind (left brain) to be too involved once we are in trance.
Would be really interested to be put - or put myself - into trance, as I'm sure hypnosis has many benefits - and have tried several times, but unfortunately I tend to analyse the situation too much, just as I did with this video.....eg - Wondering where you're from? - Your accent?
