There are a handful of clowns that like to post stuff like “$3K for a quartz watch,” but the reality is that there’s absolutely nothing wrong with quartz. Most watch collectors/enthusiasts own both types of timepieces & that has been proven time & time again for decades at this point. There are trade-offs for certain. This is one of those watches that have to be seen in person to fully appreciate … it’s an excellent sport oriented release - very nice in White, Yellow, Carolina Blue, & Orange; the brighter colors.
I get more positive comments about this watch than just about any other! Even the video has done better than many others I’ve done on far more expensive watches! People that disparage Quartz don’t understand watches and whatever opinion they have about the hobby isn’t worth consideration. Their loss.
Не только кварцевых - но даже не из стали!!! А клоун тут ТЫ!!!!! Стоимость таких часов не может превышать 500 долларов! А если ты готов за кусок пластмассы отдать много денег - значит ты и клоун))))!!!!!
@@Maxim_MaximachI went for one due to wanting a bretlight watch in my collection. (All luxury high end). I was so impressed I went out and bought another in orange. Played safe with dark blue initially. Ridiculously comfortable and super light. It’s quartz for less weight and too keep it thinner. I don’t need to wind them or set dates as I very really wear a watch. They are super robust being made of a carbon composite or bretlight. It’s a technical process which the result is the material is harder to scratch, more durable and robust than stainless. It’s also 6x lighter. So ask yourself who’s a clown. No luxury high end watches are worth anything what you pay and a £10 quartz is probably more accurate than any mechanical luxury watch. The service cost is a battery, some of mines are a £600 service every five years and wear it once a year maybe. Some are unworn. But my endurances are regular more than my other watches for a reason. Any high end watch that gets damaged will come back from a service like new. Will last a lifetime and I will pass mines to my son in 5-10yrs once old enough to appreciate.
@@soundsoserioustotally agree. Watch gets a lot of flak, but by people who either can’t afford or would spend the money. Those who buy rave about how good they are. Myself included. It’s the plastic comment by some that makes me cringe. They have zero clue.
Love the watch. It’s fun, very good looking and the super quarts is actually quite spot on. My only issues are knowing the fact that Endurance pro’s case is made out of polymer, so it is essentially plastic…. Kinda like swatch’s moon swatch (which is made out of 30% bio-polymer)…. Somehow Breitling tick all the boxes but Swatch failed to do so ….
You’re so right about that. The Swatch is literally a toy, cute but ultimately just a novelty. The Breitling is a bonafide tool watch through and through. But nobody is actually comparing these two when it comes to what’s my next watch.
I bought one and I really love to use it. The only thing about it is that date window it’s too small for me or maybe it’s time for me to have glasses😕😊. I am an airline pilot , I was using Apple Watch because it was functional and super light, but the damn thing about it was to charge it and it was , you know it seems a little ordinary. The other watchs was too heavy and you need to be very careful in the cocpit, even though you scratch it. But with this watch you feel comfortable. Thanks for the video😊🙏🏻
Thank you so much for the thoughtful comment! This watch is fantastic and probably the best Breitling you can buy. The initial run seemed to have some QC issues but I don’t hear about misaligned hands and bezels anymore. I have to take my glasses off to see the date too! 😂 Be safe and be well. ✈️
Thanks for the review. I'm really unsure which to get. I'm looking at this and the Tudor GMT. I don't like that this is quartz, on the other hand....low maintenance...
Hi, thanks for the comment. These are two very different watches. The Breitling is ultralight Quartz sport Chronograph and the Tudor is a traditional GMT. Both have pros and cons BUT the Tudor movement has an issue with the date change sometimes. Make sure you research that and get an example that doesn’t have the issue. Hopefully they have fixed it by now in current models.
Well said! I completely agree. It’s much better than a lot of the watches I have had in my collection. Mine was an early version and the QC was a little suspect: specifically the seconds hand being misaligned. I really hope Breitling has fixed that because this watch is a home run!
So, does the bezel actually do anything? All ive seen so far on videos is that you find where north is (separately from watch), then line up the bezel….but as soon as you move itll be wrong again…..so whats the compass bezel actually do? Or is it basically cosmetic
I agree this watch falls in a niche between the Automatics and the Smartwatches. However it has two flaws....it is too expensive for what it is and the size is a bit too large, at least for me. I would buy this watch if it were $1500 or less and ideally between 40/42mm (around 40mm it will make it user friendly for my wife...)
I love the watch in concept. Regarding the size I would say it wears much smaller and is ridiculously lightweight. The problem is the QC with the $&*% seconds hand not lining up properly. They have got to fix that.
Great video... I did buy one - yellow - about 6 weeks ago... Week #4 the stop watch second hand would only reset at +2 seconds... Watch has low wear... Has been sent to Breitling. I expect it will takes weeks to get back. On another note, my packaging was minimalistic... Blue snap box... Small basic guide (credit car size).. it seems other buyers get two straps by default. Despite the +2 seconds defect it is a cool watch... moreso in daytime as lume is weak... My Omega Planet Ocean lume is profoundly brighter all night. For $4000 (Cdn) lume should be noteworthy... Oh ya, and the yellow strap is too thick and difficult to fold in the buckle... And the thing that the extra part of the strap goes into broke at week #3.
Thank you very much for your comments! Look this watch is ridiculously good but Breitling really has some QC issues they have to get right with this movement! The seconds hand not resetting is infuriating and hopefully younger sorted out. There is a special “mode” that can be used to self adjust and reset the hand but it only moves in 1-second increments, so if you are in-between the markers it’s useless. The watch is a home run and the PERFECT entry-level Breitling but yeah, dumb issues really mess up the experience.
Awesome! It’s so much easier (and cheaper) to get high quality straps now than it was just a few years ago! Install is pretty easy, just google how to install a NATO strap, lots of vids out there!
Hi! Thanks for the comment. The price for these on the secondary market are around $2600-$2750 I’d say. That’s full set in great condition. Reach out to me on my IG (same name) if you’re interested in this one!
Hey, thank you for the video! Question: does thr seconds hand precisely hit every marker? I'm ocd about that stuff, I may pick one up. Thank you again! 😊
My pleasure! The seconds hand is pretty close on the markers BUT it doesn’t align perfectly at rest when it’s at 12. A common issue with these and I’ve read that Breitling will service the watch and line up the hand. If you’re ocd about alignment this one may give you some trouble unless you get lucky.
Fair point. Prices for these are coming down in the secondary market but they are still $2k+ usually. I need to get a Bulova and try it out. I did a review of a Certina Precidrive you might be interested in.
Where can I buy them black NATO strap because the ones on the Breitling website do not look anything like the one that you have I’m interested in the one that you have
Just adding a comment to my earlier comment as this Breitling Endurance Pro review seems like the most recent on YT... In my last post I advised the second was stuck on +2.. they fixed that... turn around 6-7 weeks. But, in the work order it said "crystal scratched, pushers scratched, 2 screws broken on Bezel. Repair refused." When I read that I wondered if they were talking about my watch - worn 2 days a week (lightly) for the 6 weeks I had it... So I called them and said I would naverhave even noticed these things if their watchmaker didn't point it out - particularly the the two "broken" screws which you will see are located under the N E S W letters on the edge of the bezel. I always noticed two deeper holes and two screws and thought the deep holes were pressure pins... never questioned it - why would I as this is how I got it. So I challenged the commercial AD (new watch) and the repair center and after research found photos in my google photos drive time stamped the day - the hour - I got the watch and when zoomed in - sure enough the "deep holes" where screws are meant to be were just that - deep holes, no screws. So I sent it back for THAT repair - in fact I declared I was sent a badly reconditioned watch as New. Soooo... Received mid-august... 6-maybe-10 days of wear...out for service twice... now mid-december, no news...so my "days of use vs ownership days" = 8.2% use factor. A daily wearer or # 2 watch should be more like 50%-80% use to ownership ratio!! So I have kind of forgotten I even own it.
Ok, I’m a little speechless. Wow what an absolutely awful experience! You need to get made whole and it seems like the AD is to blame in large part. The second hand thing is a known issue but the screws is borderline criminal. Is there a chance at a replacement watch straight from Breitling?
Dont get the rubber strap, the buckle is faulty so keeps falling off your wrist if you do anything active. Breitling are awful to deal with so you wont get support.
It’s a thick NATO I got on Amazon. Cost like $12. The brushed finish on the keepers matches the finish on the hands perfectly and I agree it looks MUCH better than the rubber strap.
@@soundsoserious Agree … Breitling makes nicer looking watches than Omega for comparable value. Omega’s lineup is rather stale, while Breitling is willing to play with color & design refreshes.
