I have a 46mm Navitimer with the dark green dial. It has almost convinced me to never buy any other brand. The basic Navitimer design has just been refined so much over the years, my wife actually called this busy honker of a watch "elegant". And the green dial is really what sold me on it - I've never seen a dial like this from any other brand. You can definitely see it in the stock footage in this video - there's just something different about Breitling's dials. In person even moreso, Breitlings just make every other watch look cheap. I will say that I had initially considered a GMT Navitimer because I don't really need a chronograph, but you are correct that a $500 ETA movement in a $5,000 watch is kind of a tough sell. It becomes a question of what you're actually paying for in that case. At least with the B01, I understand that I'm paying for a complete in-house design of a full watch; not just the case and assembly. Even though the B01 is more expensive, it actually feels like better value, and it's just more satisfying to know that I'm wearing a full, 100% Breitling watch.
Love the brand! My top 3 of all time to own are Navitimer 1959 ReEdition tied with Navitimer 43 Ice blue, Superocean Heritage B17 42 steel bezel 1st gen, and Breitling Aerospace Avantage White or Blue Dial!
Breitling is a god tier brand when it comes to designing chronograph watches. They are masters at combining vivid colors and manufacturing something elegant and FIRE 🔥
Understandable, but most watches aren’t great at retaining value. I have a Breitling Colt 41 with a beautiful detailed blue dial. It is mostly brushed, has the iconic Breitling touches like the rider tabs, slanted linked professional bracelet, COSC ETA movement that will be easy to service and I purchased new for $1975 grey market. At this price it’s an amazing watch that looks and wears great. I think Breitling grey or second market offer tremendous value. Love my Breitling, first “nice” watch and will always be a part of my collection.
Recently Purchased the Superocean Heritage , 42mm. Absolutely Love it. Thank you Teddy for a very Informative Video on an Iconic Watch Brand with loads of History.
I’m one who is perfectly fine with standard based calibers. In-house is nice, but they get expensive both to purchase and to service, and they tend to be thicker than ETA-Sellita based calibers. What I want for a next watch would be the Breitling Top Time Thunderbird. It just speaks to me. 😎🏎️
Incorrect. Breitling's watches that use generic Sellita movements cost even more than In-house movements from other brands, like Tudor for example. Breitling is saving money by using off the shelf, basic, 3rd party movements - they just aren't passing the savings to you, they are ripping you off.
Same here waking up every 14th of each month to 210,000 dollars it's a blessing to l and my family... I can now retire knowing that I have a steady income❤️Big gratitude to Maria Frances Hanlon
got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on MAMACOO 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. Chose the 3-link over the 5-link bracelet for the toolless quick adjustment. Way more comfortable than my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm.
Picked up a MAMACOO's watch as my first watch last month and I’m absolutely in love with it. Perfect size, looks elegant, very comfortable. Now my only problem is holding off from buying more watches so quickly!
My first “luxury” purchase was the previous gen Breitling Superocean with a white dial. Bold and contemporary with strap versatility. Keeps great time and looks the part. My favorite watch
Ball would be interesting because back when they were an American pocket watch brand, they didn't make their own watches. Those railroad chronometers from Ball were made by Elgin, Hamilton, Illinois, and Waltham. Webb C Ball had a jewelry shop in Cleveland, Ohio.
Teddy - I just bought the mint green Navitimer - appreciate you showcasing this model. Breitling is not only a historical icon, they are just plain beautiful. Our boutique in Savannah, Georgia is an authorized AD for the brand, (13 Secrets) and this video is a wonderful "training video: - Thank you so much!
Bought a navitimer 92. Haven't got my hands on it yet but it should arrive in two weeks. Wanted it when I first saw it on TV when it came out. Navitimer has always been my dream watch, all the Omegas, Tudors and Ulysse Nardins along the way never felt right. They are awesome but never had the feeling of wow this is it.
Owned an 806 Navitimer from 1972 but the hand of the minute counter kept falling off. After 3 costly repairs I just decided it had to go. Own a SuperOcean Heritage 46 which is awesome. Have it for over 15 years and it does not disappoint. Love the brand, love the watches.

Yes! Please continue! Sinn, Iwc, Panerai, Oris, JLC, Longines, Cartier,
That Emergency model Breitling was talked about on the Shawn Ryan podcast. Eric Prince, the former SEAL who formed the contracting group formerly known as Black Water. He stated that he ordered like 150 of them for his top personnel in the company and one of them was used once by a guy on an expedition that went awry. They were apparently not able to get help through whatever means they had with them and had to use that beacon on the watch to signal help. Very interesting.
My watch was purchased 2 years ago from MAMACOO and, to this day, it still looks and runs as well as it did the day it arrived. That movement has never missed a beat despite never having been serviced. I can't complain about that.
AMZWATCH is one of my favorite watch manufacturers they do offer beautifull dials, good workmanship & moovements. That smooth sweeping second hand is truly mesmerizing!
My favorite 2024 is the Prospex Limited Edition 1965 Recreation European Exclusive in Gradation Island Blue. The dial is stunning and the contrast when on a white strap is to die for. I will get my hands on one from MAMACOO
I bought a ColtOcean from1999, it was not in the best condition, dirty, scratched etc. I sent it to Breitling, it cost about £450 for a full service and polish. It came back looking like new, it's quartz and loses less than five seconds a year. They are seriously good quality watches.
I always assumed they're more for larger, louder, more active guys than me, but I was shocked to love Superocean Heritage 57 and 41mm, 3-hand Navitimers. I also didn't realize they do some environmentally friendly stuff. Maybe some day!
Hi Teddy, the Tutima M2 NATO chronographs are unique and would love to see more reviews of these as well as their full range of watches. Cheers, Roger.
First time seeing the Top Time Zorro, very cool😎👍 my personal favorites from the brand so far are the top time triumph ice blue, and the Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43mm Copper dial.👏👏
I love this, Teddy. I'm in the minority of sketchy watch lovers who absolutely favors Breitling, and that's cool with me. So thank you so much, I got my Breitlingasm. I've been a fan of Breitilng since I was a late teen in the early 00's, and just last year I bought my Navitimer. It was my first ever watch, and what I thought would be my grail watch. Then this year I bought a SOH and I fuckin' love it too. Sure enough, I'm debating what will round out my trio of Breitling watches - possibly an Avenger, or maybe a Premier. Yes, please do make more videos like this for noobs like me. I would love to continue learning of some of the obvious and maybe not so obvious families of watches behind some very obvious brands. Take your pick - Rolex, Omega, Patek. All of them are, frankly, new to me and even if I might never buy one, the way you speak about the history of a brand and catalog of watches is quite compelling. Typically, other watch critique UA-camrs are far too biased (good for entertainment, but not really explanatory) IMO, while your approach has both an admiration and fairness.
I would mention that the star of Breitling, the Navitimer, has an interesting connection to Sinn watches and I personally think Sinn 903 is a great choice if you like Navitimer design
Love the avenger series and the chronomat series. Sadly my favorite isn’t made anymore The Hurricane Avenger 2 Night Mission chronograph with the 24 hour dial.
I’m so curious to know if there are any pilots watching this video. If you are, what do you fly? And do you know how to use the navitimer slide ruler for calculations?
What you need to know: the type and numbers are so tiny that they're almost unreadable. Don't buy sight unseen off the internet, but view an actual watch to see if it's right for you.
I own two Breitlings and two Rolex. Something very important: the customer experience in Breitling AD is amazing. They really are good on that. All the time I remember their kindness and supoort to choose the right one Watch. Rolex experience sucks!
My first expensive watch in 2003 was a Breitling Aerospace with a UTC module. I still have it and will never part with it. I bought a Navitimer World that looked fantastic but never maintained the correct time and after many attempts by the AD to calibrate it, they sent it to Breitling HQ who sent it back with a bill for €860.00 and that was 10 years ago. It did not come home with me as I traded for a Rolex Explorer, my first Rolex watch. It put me off ever buying a Breitling mechanical again.
Breitling is an amazing brand that Kern is quickly running into the ground. Designs are boring, prices are outrageous, and after sales service is suddenly horrendous. He needs to let the company go back to doing what it does best…make badass watches for badass dudes. Oh, and if he doesn’t start putting captive bezels and the wings/anchor logo back on more of their pieces, us die hard fans won’t be coming back.
Finally someone’s says it! I agree 100%. Breitling has been ruined ever since Kern came into the picture. Bland models, gender neutral design, quality looks and feels much lower than before not to mention their horrible QC. And before someone says: “brEitTling CaME bAcK to ITs oRiGInAL RoOts” Breitling changed for a reason, Schneider era was their best era, as always, private equity destroys everything.
My Breitling obsession is the Aerospace. I will have one but I am leaning to the older Aerospace Avantage from the mid 2010s. I'm not really loving the new orange model.
Breitling checks many boxes such as history, design, quality and brand recognition. I have 2 questions that have yet to find satisfactory answers to: Why does the brand uses 3 different logos on its dials: Wings, cursive B and just the name Breitling (as in the Top Time series)? Why does some models don't carry the line 'Swiss Made'?
One remark: the Breitling could have never replaced the E6B flight computer that was developed by the US Naval Reserve pilot Lt. Philip Dalton because it lacked the wind-side part and other functions, among them calculating true airspeed and density altitude, which were crucial for flight planning. USAAF pilots and navigators were issued with American versions of the German Flieger watches. The E6B is still manufactured even today, and every student pilot must learn how to use it in order to qualify for a private pilot certificate. You can get one on E-bay for just twenty bucks.
this video came at a good (or bad for my wallet) time since i'm thinking of getting a chronomat for my next watch 😄 thanks a lot for adding to the temptation, teddy
I have a 46mm Navitimer with the dark green dial. It has almost convinced me to never buy any other brand. I love it when Teddy puts on his "Professor Horologius" hat and does a deep dive into Watch History. Have you done IWC yet?
Yes please continue doing deep dives like tis into major brands. Super informative Teddy!
As always the most thoughtful , well researched & eloquent watch channel around , keep AMZWATCH coming !
Love the brand! My top 3 of all time to own are Navitimer 1959 ReEdition tied with Navitimer 43 Ice blue, Superocean Heritage B17 42 steel bezel 1st gen, and Breitling Aerospace Avantage White or Blue Dial!
Great video young man 👍
Breitlings are always close to my heart, dad had a Chronomat and passed it to me, unfortunately I lost when I moved overseas.
Sorry you lost your dad overseas.
Breitling is a god tier brand when it comes to designing chronograph watches. They are masters at combining vivid colors and manufacturing something elegant and FIRE 🔥
Absolutely 💯 correct
Unfortunately they are poor value for money
Understandable, but most watches aren’t great at retaining value. I have a Breitling Colt 41 with a beautiful detailed blue dial. Love my Breitling, first “nice” watch and will always be a part of my collection.
@@michaelriera6277 sure, but at retail they are poor value for money when compared to Tudor for example. No doubt that they make great watches though.
Wear your damn watch if you are flipping it for cash go buy a damn rolex
Recently Purchased the Superocean Heritage , 42mm. Absolutely Love it. Thank you Teddy for a very Informative Video on an Iconic Watch Brand with loads of History.

*Amazing video, thanks for the steady stream. I'm favoured, $450k Returns the Lord is my saviour in times of my need!!!*
Hello how do you make such?? I'm a born Christian and sometimes I feel so down myself because of low finance but I still believe in God

I do know Ms. Maria Frances Hanlon, I also have even become successful....
Absolutely! I've heard stories of people who started with little to no knowledge but made it out victoriously thanks to Ms. Maria Frances Hanlon.
got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on MAMACOO 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces.
I love this deep dive into the history of Breitling. My only criticism is that I feel the video was rushed a bit, Teddy just seems to speak quickly.
Awesome video Teddy! Learned a lot. Thx man & keep going
My first “luxury” purchase was the previous gen Breitling Superocean with a white dial. Bold and contemporary with strap versatility. Keeps great time and looks the part. My favorite watch
I own 3 Breitlings, love them!
Loving the brand deep dives. I'd love to see Ball next.
Ball would be interesting because back when they were an American pocket watch brand, they didn't make their own watches. Those railroad chronometers from Ball were made by Elgin, Hamilton, Illinois, and Waltham. Webb C Ball had a jewelry shop in Cleveland, Ohio.
Teddy…I don’t believe there’s a more knowledgeable person on earth when it comes to watches.
Exceptional presentation, very well done!
They have character. Don't necessarily like them but I appreciate that they are really recognizable
Teddy - I just bought the mint green Navitimer - appreciate you showcasing this model. Breitling is not only a historical icon, they are just plain beautiful. “You’re not gonna scratch that Breitling itch elsewehere”, good point this!

Sinn, Iwc, Panerai, Oris, JLC, Longines, Cartier,
Sweet rundown. Can wait to get one!

Saw one on eBay the other week for like $25,000 I think lol. Pretty cool watch.
Thank you sir. Your vids and quality are top notch
IWC!... new to watch appreciation and looking to buy. Almost settled on the Navitimer
Thank you for telling the full story of Breitling and for explaing the main collection of the brand. Could you do that with Longines ?
Nice to see a video about my favorite watch brand. Thanks!
My watch was purchased 2 years ago from MAMACOO and, to this day, it still looks and runs as well as it did the day it arrived. That movement has never missed a beat despite never having been serviced. I can't complain about that.
My fave Breitling is the Pro Aerospace B70 Orbiter Orange Titanium! Love it!1
Loved this! Can you make this type ion video for some of the others? Omega, Rolex etc...
If im not mistaken he did one on Longines. I agree that he should do more
Loving these videos. Would love to see IWC next.
I’d like to see this on Tudor, LONGINES, Nomos, Omega. Great info!!
What a whirlwind review of a huge brand.
Well done!
I love the idea of an emergency watch. I’d constantly be tempted to pull the string
Love this video. Any chance you could do one of these for JLC?
I wish they would bring back the Breitling Colt.
I have a Speedy Pro and a Breitling Superocean II 42 on a NATO. I love the combo!
I love the madness of the new Aero with hot orange dial and piece of balloon in the caseback. It’s nuts. But looks crazy good.
No mention on the Skipper? Arguably one of the most beautiful Breitling watches out there. That rose gold is chef's kiss!
Love the brand. It will be great to see the same video about Piaget
Love my SuperOcean Heritage with the B01 chrono calibre and its panda dials.
I own 2 of their limited edition watches and love them both. Will no doubt go back for a 3rd.
Love your channel with so many stellar watches! For me the MAMACOO’ watch is my favorite. Keep the videos coming. Thanks.
The pistachio chrono reigns supreme. 💚
You just sold me on breitling, they always seemed too flashy for me. Now they look different to me.
Navitimer A23322, blue dial, blue leather strap, was my first 'luxury' watch. Still my favorite and the last one I would get rid of.
Please let’s do a series like this but on Tudor and Omega
The SuperOcean 42 do wear small, I have one on a 16.5cm wrist and it goes well as the lug to lug is small. Agree they do Chronometers very well.
I would love to own a Breitling watch one day. Amazing timepieces... Nice video Teddy!😍😍
I own a Super Ocean 2 blue dial and have been looking at adding another Breitling to my collection but still cannot pick my next.
I’d like your take on IWC.
Please continue your series with the Omega line.
I love my Breitlings. Thanks Teddy!
I've had a Breitling Avenger for twenty years. Love it but would looove a Navitimer.
I bought a ColtOcean from1999, it was not in the best condition, dirty, scratched etc. I sent it to Breitling, it cost about £450 for a full service and polish. It came back looking like new, it's quartz and loses less than five seconds a year. They are seriously good quality watches.
Love the navitimer but the water resistance is so low which makes me cringe a bit but I still feel like I would still add it to my collection one day.
nice content, nice video as always thx...
Love my SOH ii 42mm green dial!
Own 2, technically 3, Breitlings my self. Just picked up a new SuperOcean rainbow dial a few days ago. Nice video Teddy!
First time seeing the Top Time Zorro, very cool😎👍 my personal favorites from the brand so far are the top time triumph ice blue, and the Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43mm Copper dial.👏👏
Love this....do more like this!!
I love my Premier. Blue dial, anthracite panda chrono registers. A bit thick but not terrible. B01 movement is nice
I have been pinning for a Breitling for years, The new Ti Chronomat is the bomb !! sadly just too much money

Great video of my favourite watch brand and as you said there's nothing like a Breitling
Great piece, Teddy, on a par with the Longines one. Deff keep them coming! How about F Constant next?
Great video. Would you do an Omega video like this one?
I learned about the navitimer while watching Seinfeld. Blue dial, white subdials, and black strap.
I am a simple man - I see Teddy's video I give it a like.
Great video! I would love to see a video about all watches that have ceramic cases 🎉
If you ever read this - what are your thoughts on the Hamilton Ardmore?
fantastic video, so informative, so much effort must have gone into it, thanks ❤️ please continue? IWC, Omega, Tag Heuer…
Nice report - i liked it - thanks
Great Breitling rétrospective 👌❤️👍, too bad you didn’t touch in detail the Avengers series 😢.
B50 Cockpit here! 😎⌚️
Breitling is an amazing brand that Kern is quickly running into the ground. Designs are boring, prices are outrageous, and after sales service is suddenly horrendous. Oh, and if he doesn’t start putting captive bezels and the wings/anchor logo back on more of their pieces, us die hard fans won’t be coming back.
You said it, brother. And listen up, Kern…we need a fully fleshed out Aerospace line! Nobody cares about the dressier pieces with the lame “B” logo.
While I hold the Zenith chronograph in high regard, it is undeniable that certain Breitling designs exhibit superior aesthetic appeal.
Navitimer. Have one love it.
My Breitling obsession is the Aerospace. I will have one but I am leaning to the older Aerospace Avantage from the mid 2010s. I'm not really loving the new orange model.
great video, tks
The emergency watch is just so interesting to me! Unfortunently i think it is like $20k
Richard Hammond set off a Breitling Emergency on top of Wolf Mountain in a Top Gear episode.
OMEGA LINEUP VIDEO PLEASE
this video came at a good (or bad for my wallet) time since i'm thinking of getting a chronomat for my next watch 😄 thanks a lot for adding to the temptation, teddy
Wicked video!
