    I would suggest purchasing various sizes of Mason jars for your dry goods and create your pantry.

    Don't forget Neosporin, rubbing alcohol, bleach, quick clot, gun shot wound care items like chest seal etc. Also check into the Gamma seal 5 gallon bucket lids and store a BUNCH of red beans and rice but make sure the buckets are food grade. also water purification redundancy. If you have any questions on prepping Ive been doing it a long time and happy to help if I can.

      Yeah we have several Survival FA Kits with chest seals, tourniquets and all the bells and whistles. Val did a longer video going over FA gear and expiration dates, but the mov.file got corrupted somehow. But I will check into the Gamma Seal's(never heard of them). As always, you continue to come thru with the goods that hurt my pockets...lol. Will reach out to you offline and pick your brain soon, cause we have a lot of blind spots for sure! Really appreciate you brother!

    You all will figure out the framing for the panels. Maybe there is a youtube video on DYI for that to help.

    Don’t remove anything yet. Colder weather will drive them to warmer areas (inside the house) so wait another couple weeks at least.

    I am SO glad to see Y’all giving yourselves a chance in an emergency. BUT, as I’m sure you’ve done, check the “expiration” dates. Also stock up on canned meats, rice and dried beans. Anything in bags or boxes WITH rodent proof lids. Just check into “prepping”, and remember that is not a bad word. Our forefathers were the ultimate peppers!

      FOLLOWING YOU FROM ZAMBIA AFRICA
      YOU GUYS SHOULD CONSIDER MOUNTING THE SOLAR ARRAY ON THE CONEX THAT YOU ALREADY HAVE ITS STRONGER EASIER AND DOUBLES AS STORAGE

      Val did a longer video going over FA gear, expiration dates and the likes, but the mov.file got corrupted somehow. But as usual, thanks again for the head's up and good tips sir! Appreciate you!

      @albertsiyanga3201 (22) 420w panels will not fit on the 20ft containers. Luckily we have found a solution to ground mount and have started the process. Stay tuned....

    Did y'all check into shade resistance panels? They have ones that will charge even in the shade. It's looking so good.

      Unfortunately we did not. But we will make the best of it…even if we have to sacrifice a few more trees🥲. Thank you and Thanks for the advice!

    You will want a boo boo med kit. Simple stuff, band aids, antibiotic ointment, burn cream just normal everyday med supplies. THEN go up to a more trauma kit. You don’t really need to go full EMT kit wise unless you are trained for that. Just research and outfit yourselves for more extensive injuries like broken bones allergic reactions and your normal medications along with a sympathetic doctor that might prescribe you some “generic” antibiotics. Oh, and believe it or not get a good set of tweezers. Do not get those square ended ones. We like those that have a diagonal cut to them, kinda like a set of wire cutters if you look at them from the side.

    • @7sigmaoff-grid
      @7sigmaoff-grid  18 днів тому

      Yeah we have several boo boo med kits with all the necessities including tourniquets, chest packs and stop the bleed's. Eventually we'll get around to it again in a future video once we get set-up here full time. Thanks for the excellent tip on "generic" antibiotics..that was a blind spot that we need to address.

    Baking soda is very good for a multitude of reasons. Get the big bags. You can do things like wash your hair with it all the way to putting it around your house or food storage area to as pest deterrent. You don’t need mouthwash. You can use clove as a wash for your mouth and as a feminine wash. White vinegar is also good to have for cleaning and also to use as a hair wash with the baking soda. Store your grains in glass because mice and rats can eat through the plastic. Also, get bay leaves to put I. All of your stored grains and in your food storage area to keep pests away. Other things to store are coconut oil and diatomaceous earth.

    Nice video! I would add a booze cabinet for sure LOL! You might have done this but can you google an independent solar technician (like a repair or maintenance guy)? I am in Arizona so I don't know if California has those

      Yes, Ramen noodles are very versatile & good prepper item to store. I never use that little questionable packet. I use various types of home made broth or powdered Knorr, bouillon, broth or stock, garlic, onion, and various different aromatics depending on the protein im using,fresh or frozen veggies, & any left over protein I have in fridge such as beef, bison, chicken, pork, or fish.
      In the end I have a healthy hot satisfying quick meal & what I call 🍲GOURMET😏 🤭 RAMEN..😋

    Yeah that rock gonna be a problem when you need to put posts in, I dont know how you would overcome that. Maybe a jackhammer? or maybe just build on top of the ground and put in some anchors to hold it down or put in some concrete and anchoring into that?
    Will be interesting to see how you get it done.
    What are you guys planning for coms?
    I am going to put in an antena and posts to run a GMRS repeater and home base station for local coms and use handheld Ham radios for further out. Sat phones are cool but damn expensive.

    • @7sigmaoff-grid
      @7sigmaoff-grid  18 днів тому

      Yeah the rock is a problem. Decided to switch to up and go with this IntegraRack Earth Ballast & Anchor spikes system so we won't have to deal with concrete footers. Finally found a few co.'s to get truck loads of gravel delivered at a reasonable price, so we'll use that along with all the small boulders and dirt scattered around the property. The tractor and bucket is going to get a serious workout...lol,
      We are going to follow you and do whatever you do for coms...LOL Yeah man, the sat phones prices are expensive. Right now we just have a 4 pack kit of 2-ways that are not very dependable with all the mountains.
