I was in the military and know how hard it is to maintain anything nice under these circumstances, Thank you for your service, and thank you for sharing such inspirational videos. I have learned a lot from your rose reviews, and am pleasantly surprised that I can grow so many in pots and some in part shade. Your garden is beautiful and you guys are terrific.
Love this video Angie and Ambrose. Looking forward to a Hydrangea Tour next hahaha. Would love to see how you deadhead roses too in the future. Keep up the great videos. You inspire us a lot:)
Love the idea of sharing viewer’s roses (such a great community you’re building!) ... you guys have inspired me to get into roses... but also, what about a series where viewers send in pictures and decriptions of the issues/troubles were having with roses and you can offer some advice, I’ve come to think of you as amateur rose experts (if that’s a thing haha) ... much love from California, appreciate your amazing content! 🌹
“Shy little fairies with their hats.” That’s one of the sweetest gardening descriptions I’ve ever heard 🧚🏾♀️🌹🥰 I thought my 7 roses were sufficient and then this video happened. 😩 I feel some credit card abuse coming on. Help!
Lovely tour! It's such a delight to watch the enthusiasm you share for your garden. Thank you for all the work you put into creating such enjoyable content!
Ahhh, your rose tour is heavenly! I'm so happy to learn of the easy peasy variety from PW as a choice for beginners! Your enthusiasm is extremely contagious! Thank you for this magical adventure❣️ Linda 💐
Your rose garden tour is much more interesting than silent or background music tour seen elsewhere in other channels. I think it's the first time I have a whole view of your garden. It's gorgeous, I love the atmosphere it gives.
Absolutely beautiful!! I've never bought a bare root rose. And now it makes sense why mine are taking a bit to get super lush. I ordered The Ingenious Mr. Fairchild and the pot was labeled as that....but it came with a tag on the base cane that states it is actually The Generous Gardener. Lol....I'm not mad about it ...I mean it's a David Austin 😊 I feel like a collector of David Austin rose's❤ Your yard looks like paradise to me! It's a wonder your neighbors aren't sneaking in your garden to smell the roses🙂
Walked into the den and my husband was watching this video. I’m not the flower person in the family, he is, but I really enjoyed the tour. So beautiful.
Thank you so much for a great garden tour today you have a beautiful home and I love all the beautiful florals that you have all around your property everything is so beautiful just perfect for fairies
Your made a small space very beautiful, I have a Big garden , because of your videos, I planned the same climbing rose last year, thanks for sharing your garden.
HOW BEAUTIFUL, I LOVE LOVE LOVE 💕 YOUR ROSES 🌹 YOU GUYS HAVE DONE ABSOLUTELY A BEAUTIFUL JOB!!!!!!! YOUR GARDEN IS ENCHANTING, I COULD LIVE IN YOUR GARDEN!!!!!!! YALL NEED TO TEACH GARDEN 🪴 LESSONS YOU HAVE SO MUCH KNOWLEDGE AND GREEN THUMBS I WISH I COULD VISIT YOUR GARDEN AND YOU HAVE SO MUCH FUN 🤩 I HAVE LEARNED SO MUCH FROM WATCHING YOU BOTH!!!!! KEEP GROWING!!!!😊😊😊
Gorgeous roses !!! 😍 how did you guys prep and move the roses from your previous property and care for them during and after the move? Please share because I have a lot of roses at my current house planted in the ground and I don’t want to leave them here when I move.
Gertrude Jackyl is a rock star!!! I am getting one. Hopefully it will do well in a pot with southern exposure. Great job 👏 👍 👌 ! Your garden is magical!
You guys are too cute!! I love your energy, enthusiasm and passion! Your garden is stunning! You pack so much into that space! Keep up the great video and I’m subscribing!
Hey guys, I will certainly be sending in a couple of pictures to share with you and other viewers of what I have in my garden, both planted in the ground and in pots. I'm just waiting for the weather to improve and more importantly the roses to bloom. It's practically pouring with rain here in the UK 🇬🇧 over the past couple of days. Hope to see some sun shine, I've forgotten what it feels like 😁
I bought Lady Emma Hamilton because of your video from a couple years ago guys! I wonder if you still have it? I was sooo curious to see it. It had incredible rich color in your garden.
They are like dancing princess in pink they are so pretty love yr Palace of roses they are at a dance in the palace so beautiful they remind me of that time in videos do they make seeds that grow I'll like just the pink so pretty white is beautiful love them great good job taking ❤ care of the rose's
What a beautiful garden! What size pot do you normally use for your roses? They all look so healthy! Looking forward to more garden videos this Summer 😊
Hello and thank you! Largest container we use for roses is a 20 inch . We are getting ready to move in a few months so pretty soon we will be talking about our plans on a new video. Thank you for watching. 🙏💐💚
My garden is in action mode too, but even when untidy, it's still such a relaxing place! The Secret Garden looks like it has so much exciting stuff happening! I have a question about Miss Gertrude and Crown Princess Margareta. When I purchased them the tag said shrub. Are they just lowering my expectations because I live in Canada and it may not climb as high, where in the South USA it would be huge? Or are there different versions of the same rose. Maybe it depends on what rootstock they get grafted on? Still learning.
Hi! There are a couple of roses that do come in shrub form and climbers. When ordering you would need to make sure you select the one you are looking for. They will be great roses nevertheless.
New sub! And also a San Antonio gardener. I got a Don Juan for Valentine's Day. Where did you decide to put yours? I also have a Black Bacarra. She didnt bloom last year but it looks like this year shes going to!
What a beautiful garden love the roses I’ve been to the David Austin garden centre it’s beautiful it’s only about about an hour from were I live here in the U K going to subscribe to your channel
Hello thank you! Gertrude Jekyll is a very cold hardy rose zone 4-11 we live in a gardening zone 7b. Because we have them in containers we only make sure to mulch the containers about three inches. Roses are very cold hardy now in days. 🙏💐💚
Hello! We are in zone 7b Virginia got a colder than usual this winter. We usually have plants that are a few zones lower than our zone they are more cold hardy. At least two zones lower than our zone. Also try to plant in frost proof containers for more protection. 💚
Hi! We are always receiving questions from new subs. We are partnered with proven winners and so we do many projects with their plants. Soon those videos will start to come as the weather is getting much better.
Angie, the Rose Queen! :-) Makes that Ambrose the Rose King? I don't know, but what I found funny is, that I was very eager to get my hands on Eustacia Wye too, but its totally impossible! So sad. I really want an olfashioned looking rose with peachy colors AND a strong smell. Guess we all have to wait till next year....
Oh you are the sweetest!!! 🤗😘💐💚 Thank you so much for such a lovely comment. We really were hoping too for Eustacia Vye but yes next year 🤞🏽. Have a most wonderful and lovely weekend! 🙏💐💚💚💚💚💚💚
Hi Angie,,Ambrose I’m a rose lover and collector as well. I know the video is about the roses, but I couldn’t help notice the tree close to the door. Is that a Japanese maple? If so, what variety is it? It’s gorgeous! I’ve wanted one since I saw them at Descanso gardens in LA. Thanks for all your inspiring videos🌼🌸🌺🌷💐🌻
You are my new go to for roses especially! And flowers. Thank you for sharing. I am just starting with roses. Even though I have a lot, I never really though of them like I do now. I have 6 new precious to me ones now. I just realized that 3 are climbers! Oh boy, I hadn’t anticipated the room they might require. Lots to know about roses!
I’m new to roses in container (new to roses at all really). With such a great variety in your collection, how do you keep them healthy and pest free. I would love some tips. Thank you for sharing your garden.
Angie and Ambrose, please share where you got the obelisk for Strawberry Hill. I did not see it in your Amazon store. I love you guys! (Ambrose, my father was a WWII Pacific Marine!)
Wow that is amazing to know your father was a WWII Pacific Marine. Not many people realize that without these small island campaigns the war would have never been won. Here is the link. amzn.to/3qrHWAV
Can you do a video on how you choose the rose placement and the colors? I always hear you should plant several of one type for an impact but I don’t have the space for that and want a variety of them... so trying to pick similar colors etc... any tips would be great!
Have you shown how to train it to climb? I have two that are climbers and don’t know what to do. This will be my second year having them, so far they look like a bush.
I think it would be very helpful to have something on what you fill your containers with. The length of time each rose has been in the respective containers and the feed that you give your roses and mist of all the maintenance programme: deadheading, and ahhhhhh!!!! Pruning! I know you guys do not shy away from these, but to us poor viewers they are a terrifying mystery!
I had ordered 4 roses from David Austin 3 bare root all were delivered but my 2 qt still hasn’t arrived. My order still says unfulfilled so I’m hoping she comes soon!
What a stunning garden!I am surprised that many roses are in the shade! If your front door is south facing, then 2 Gertrude Jekyll at back door are facing north and the other 2 are facing west under a huge tree!Do I get it right?
There is only one at the back door which is north, and two by the tree facing about northwest. There are so many roses that can take some shady areas and we have been very lucky to have them do well.
Hi I hope you guys are doing well I love everything you do in your beautiful garden 🪴 I have a question 🙋🏻♀️ for you guys that will be very helpful if you can help me please I buy two roses like maybe 3 days ago, they are from proven Winners At last rose I can home and report my roses and a different container the next day my beautiful roses 🥀 they was floppy stress I really don’t know what to do that make me fell sad Im just wondering what do I did wrong!!!
Sounds like they are stressed. If the temperatures are hot in your area that can cause stress in a newly planted plant. We always add Biotone from Espoma Organics to help the roots. Make sure to water when at least three inches of soil is dry. It’s going to need water. Hope this helps. 🙏💐💚💚💚💚💚💚

Thank you! Most of our garden is in containers because we are living in a military base usually move every 3 to 4 years makes it easier to move garden. @Garden Obsessions Thank you for answering. That is a good idea!! I may plan some roses in the pots this spring too, I live in south carolina, Can you Suggest some climbing roses for our area?

Is the climbing rose that is over the door planted in the ground or in a planter? It is beautiful!
It’s planted in a planter. 💐💚
