Just do what Jenny does, when Jenny does it if you live anywhere in the South to keep beautiful David Austin roses! I’ve got 14 varieties of DA roses & since I’ve been following along with Jenny, my roses have NEVER been more healthy & beautiful! Mine are not yet in bloom but they are covered in buds so I can’t wait to see them flush with color! ❤
Oh my, your climbing rose on the trellis takes my breath away..❤. You and Laura have me all emotional today showing off your roses. Purple was my moms favorite color and when you showed the purple roses i lost it. My mom loved to work in her vegetable garden and her flower garden. I hope some day i will have beautiful flowers like my mom did. Thank you for sharing your beautiful flowers with us. 33:26
In our side yard all you smell is star Jasmine, in our front yard you smell the 9 tree roses in the back yard by the patio you get gardenia and peonies.
I'm jealous that you can have so many roses. Rose rosette disease is so prevalent in my area that it is a huge risk to have multiple roses in your garden unless you keep them far away from one another.
Love my David Austin roses and love that you are highlighting them today, Jenny! Sadly we had rose rosette disease in my area of North Texas for several years. But thankful I never lost my David Austin roses. I did lose my Julia Child last year. That was a shock. So ordering another one along with Lady Banks to plant in the other side of our pool on a trellis. Thanks for my beautiful morning walk in the garden - where God started everything! 💗🌺🌷🌸🌼🪴👩🌾💐🎶💗
I love your rose garden and I absolutely love you as well! My husband and I enjoy watching all your videos. My mind also went straight to Etta James when you said, “At Last”😊❤
Good morning Jenny and Jerry 🌄 your roses are beautiful Jenny I just love being able to tour your gardens on here any time I want. I just need smell o vision now 😂 have a wonderful day yaw 🥰
Wow 🤩!!! Your collection is fabulous!!!❤!❤! You and Laura have inspired me to finally get some climbing roses!! I live in zone 3, so this will be challenging. I have been thinking about this for 20 years 😂😂😂!! Wish me luck 😊 And thank you for the tip about planting a group of small growing ones together. I have several native ones that I should do that with.
Thank you for the detailed information on the Bayer 3 in 1 product and the Fertilome drench. I now know what to do with my rose that was a Japanese beetle magnet last year!
Thank you, Jenny and Jerry for this beautiful and informative rose garden tour! I have always loved roses and tried my hand at them, but never did well, but because of this video, I have seen the error of my ways😊🌺🌿🌸🍃
You're lucky to have a big space like this for gardening! I will follow eache of your video to see the evolution of the patio, wich certainly more beautiful every year.
Thank you for the rose tour! I have 2 Reminiscents (Crema and Coral) sitting on my porch waiting to be planted. Loving the Rise Up Lavendar...maybe next. Exciting stuff.
I’m in MS. I so appreciate your shrub and tree drench and Bayer recommendations. My roses already look happier with the shrub and tree drench on board. I’m looking forward to using the Bayer monthly. Having solid advice from a fellow southern gardener is so very helpful. 🟢👍 and🤞for a great year for my roses. Much love from MS.
Jenny, Years ago, I gave up on roses as I was only successful w/ a single plant, a red climber, & even that has struggled in my yard. Thanks to your encouragement, I got brave last summer & planted a small Oso Easy Italian Ice rose. Even tho it was their smallest pot size (qt., I believe), it has already filled out into a substantial mound & is full of buds. I can't wait for them to start opening! Thank you!!! 😊
Well Jenny I’m just going to have to try some roses now that I saw this video. Here in North Texas we have rose rosette quite badly but there are some that are showing to be resistant. It’s worth a try for those beautiful blooms in the garden 🦋
All your roses look great. I wish more people would try the David Austin Roses, they really are a great rose that brings in the happiness. And that Coral rose is stunning from PW.
I got a bunch of bare root roses from DA Just started to grow I’m so excited to see the blooms … and I LOVE!!!!! Love love my Crema from PW she’s absolutely stunning so far!!! And the coral reminiscent is also outstanding!!!! Very strong so far
I wish I have the garden that big. I love roses and I have over 70 roses from David Austin. I really love the colour of Emily Bronte and the innocent of Susan Williams Ellis. My climbing roses such as Constance Spry,Ena Harkness, Walberton old hall are doing very well on their second years. Ps. Love your video and get the information. Greetings from Scotland
OK Jenny! I am going to be cognitive about fertilizing my roses! I love them so much, but unless I plant them square in in the front yard, they only get 5 hours of direct sun at best. But I keep going! Thank ya'll!
I just planted 2 Generous Gardener roses this past Saturday and already have 2 shoots coming up! Am so excited to see them grow! You are correct when you say you can’t stop with just 1 David Austin rose…I put one in last year and it was magical and now I have five with more on my wish list!
So glad you made this video. I was so worried about pruning and caring for my roses. Into my 4th year now of growing David Austin's and Jackson Perkins roses.
Wonderful video! I started with my first climbing rose after I watch you plant and care for the Generous Gardener.. Since then I've added six more varieties and they're all doing great.
2 years ago I bought what I thought was A Gertrude Jekyll and I believe it must've lost its tag at the nursery and someone thought they had the right plant but it clearly isn't. I think it's Desdemona. It's certainly not a climber. It's still beautiful, it just needs to be moved. I HATE don't that. Older varieties sometimes give roses a bad name. I have an older rose that I don't know the name of. Every year it gets the black spot disease and it's plenty of work picking all those leaves up and taking them off the property as to not spread the disease any further. Spraying for the aphids and thrips seems to be a never ending chore. My David Austin roses seem to be less prone to some of those older varieties Achilles heel. It's amazing to see how much further along your more southern garden than mine here in CT. Good growing, Creekside! Hope you have a stupendous year business wise and that the garden gremlins will pass you by!
Gorgeous! Just gorgeous! All the roses are looking so very healthy. Jenny you've done a great job with these. This to me has been the best informational video. I think you covered most things someone would need to know about roses. I know nothing. You've bought got me to try them. Do ya'll sell the David Austin roses at the nursery?
One of my favorites of yours!! I have been late 2 times on the David Austen rose ordering and so have it on my calendar now for late fall. I didn't understand their system. Makes me want to do a road trip and visit your nursery even more!
Beautiful roses. At your recommendation I used the Tree and Shrub drench a couple of weeks ago and will apply my Bayer 3 in 1 today. Hopefully that will keep the Japanese beetles away this year. I have a few roses scattered around my yard. My favorite is my OSO Easy Hot Paprika from Proven Winners. Love the color and it maintains a nice, neat habit.
Jenny, After watching your rose tour, I ordered a Reminiscent Coral rose from my local H.D store. That gorgeous girl arrived planted in a 1 gallon pot and has 2 huge budds on it, just ready to pop open! I'm so excited to see if she looks as beautiful as yours did. Thanks for keeping us informed and, as always, for sharing your knowledge 🥰
I love roses, but here in central Georgia a lot of humidity causes mildew. Plus we have deers around and they love roses too. ☹️ Thanks for the interesting rose tour!
Your roses are absolutely beautiful. I planted 2 rise up ringo from PW last fall and they are blooming like crazy. That beautiful yellow with red in the middle. They were only about 6-7 inches tall when I planted them and now about 2' tall. Can't wait to see them in a couple of yrs. ❤
THANK YOU! I've been very cautious about using any chemicals in any of my garden for years, but the beetle bugs have made me think twice...lol They destroy my crepe myrtle trees every year here in Louisville, KY! I just ordered the ferti-lome you recommended :) Maybe there's some hope for my crepe myrtles this year :) It makes me crazy to see them covered with those beetles...lol I try feverishly to remove them, but I have 6 crepe myrtles and have a full time job, and trying to manually remove beetles is like another full time job...lol
This was as good as your hydrangea video, even though it was different in that you did not try to cover all types of roses which is probably good!. Thank you for this wonderful video! I do learn much from your videos.
I hVE Roses in my mixed border but not grouped together as I don' want the pest of fungus pressure to deal with. Your roses are beautiful. I like D. Austin roses also. sWe have The Lark Ascending. It looks so beautiful as the sun is setting.
There is a rose at my mother in laws house that is a Seven Sisters, I believe is the name. It is probably at least 40 years old. Do you, I think I could be successful at digging it up and moving it to my house? The old house is destined to be torn down, and I sure would love to have the rose. Would I cut it completely back to a manageable size, then try digging it up? I know it has to be 14 ft or more high.
I have tried so many different products! Nothing worked. They eat my rises, Lillie's, Lorapetalum buses, viburnums, rose of Sharon's and everything else they can get to except daffodils and Iris. I'm about to give up gardening all together 🤷♀️@@BACKYARDBLOOMSWITHKIM
Wonderful video. Im wondering after initial flush of blooms, how much reblooming. Will need to research. Ive been reluctant to try roses due to amount of care, but now it sounds fun. Thank you
I've been eyeing Rise Up Amberness! What is the diameter of the obelisk that you have the Amberness growing in? I'm wanting two, one either side of a garden statue. So gorgeous!!
My best roses are kordes, Poseidon is very vigorous with precious soft lavender color, also have plum perfect and south africa. No black spot, flowers stay for many days. 7B area My David Austin get disease, and their flowers can't stand rain. I wish my DA roses had the strenght of Kordes.

Roses blooming already! It's so nice to have roses so early in the season! 🙂
In our side yard all you smell is star Jasmine, in our front yard you smell the 9 tree roses in the back yard by the patio you get gardenia and peonies.
Good Friday morning Ms Jenny and all at Creekside. Beautiful roses.
Grouping three together I never thought of to get a shrub look. Best advice!
I'm jealous that you can have so many roses. Rose rosette disease is so prevalent in my area that it is a huge risk to have multiple roses in your garden unless you keep them far away from one another.
RRD wipe out my rose garden few years ago😢

I just love your Julia Child rose! That buttery yellow is stunning! I’m hoping my roses look half as good as yours 🥀

Very informative. I’m a new rose grower (all are David Austin’) so all of this was very helpful. Thank you!

Planting the climbers on their side instead of upright…angling towards your wall …helps get that climbing started
Beautiful!! Thanks for all the tips!
Lovely, just so lovely!
Jenny, everything in your garden is looking so beautiful..❤
Thank you for another Amazing video❤
WOW!! What an awesome, informative video, thank you soooo much🥰
Gorgeous Jenny❤ So beautiful!
Jenny,
After watching your rose tour, I ordered a Reminiscent Coral rose from my local H.D store. That gorgeous girl arrived planted in a 1 gallon pot and has 2 huge budds on it, just ready to pop open!
