Ringo was always my favorite Beatle. I remember going to see them in Dallas in 1964. I won the ticket listening to a radio show. I called in and won the ticket. I was 14. My dad took me to the auditorium, dropped me off and he waited for me outside the auditorium. After the show was over, I left via a raised glass exit. As I was nearing the exit I noticed the Beatles were leaving via that exit below me. As they passed below I yelled Ringo’s name. He looked up and waved at me. I couldn’t believe he acknowledged me. What an extraordinary thing for me at that age.
I love how Ringo always put the music first. He wasn’t about showing off, but about making every song better with his steady rhythm and subtle touches.

Ringo may not have been the flashiest drummer, but his ability to stay in sync with the band was unmatched. That’s what made the Beatles’ sound so cohesive.
In the video of the rooftop Beatles "on to Mars" live perform of "Get Back," Ringo's stellar drumming was a uniquely powerhouse 21-gun rocketlaunch to the Starrs.
I agree with Ringo that Yoko broke up the band (at least she was 50% responsible). While Paul has stated publicly that John is who broke up the band, when John told the guys, "I'm leaving the band," John has also said publicly that without Yoko, he would've continued with the band, just without his former enthusiasm. He would've just coasted along, letting the others take the lead. But Yoko attracted John enough to leave the band. So... did Yoko break up the Beatles? Or did John? I think it's accurate to say: Yoko was the catalyst that caused John to decide to quit the band. That means Yoko and John, together, broke up the Beatles.

This after first trying to hook up with McCartney. Calling herself an artist when her most famous "piece" glassss was a pair of glasses next to a drinking glass. How about screwing Julian out of a reasonable inheritance. It's just amazing that anyone would defend her.
A bit off topic, but Ringo did something extraordinarily kind, along with George and Paul. Remember the Anthology Album in the 1990s of old Beatles recordings? I think we all feel for Pete Best, right? Ringo, George and Paul chose the songs for that album (John had passed away already), and a few songs had Ringo versions, and Pete versions. All three of them agreed to use the Pete versions, knowing the album would sell big and provide them all royalties. Meaning Ringo bypassed receiving about $3 to $5 Million USD, which went to Pete, late in life when he was approaching retirement with no money. This surprise windfall of a few million dollars gives Pete a comfortable life in old age, that came as a total surprise. It also gave Pete a sense of "belonging" for once, as part of the Beatles. Ringo deliberately chose to let that happen.

i HAVE BEEN A MEMBER OF A ROCK AND ROLL BAND FROM 19633 TO 1967. Was that "music" in the background of this video? Perhaps there were issues about licensure to use Beatles music, Too expensive? I don't know who owns the copyrights now that M. Jackson is gone. Still there had to be something better to put in the background than that saccharine repetition of electronic chords. And of course the narrator's lack of knowledge of the material is obvious. I too agree with Ringo, but Yoko to John was like an EVE to Adam. He was married to Cynthia, he left her, he had two sons, he abandoned Jude. He abandoned the Beatles because Yoko entered his world. The rest is history! The Beatles collectively should have accepted Johns announcement that he was leaving. Good Luck and Good Bye! Hopefully the three could have worked together while looking for replacement for John. Now with that said, I personally think the die was cast, and the The Beatles as a group reached their peak, and the inevitable was ever before them. Let’s face it, they were good, but longevity such as Elvis, will never happen. He was the King, now and Always, and he was one of the most Handsome men to have ever donned the stage.
Great video! Thanks. Too bad about Yoko's constant forced presence. The entire world could feel the tension she created in the band, IMO. Such a shame!
I think his drumming is excellent and I am a drummer. The other three were making beautiful music that he did not want to overpower. Putting Ringo down is not just weird but creepy weird. Whatever though. Silly video with a misleading heading. Ringo was cute. Feel pretty bad for Pete Best though. I would have gone with John Lennon and George and Paul myself. I love the man personally. What incredible humbleness. I'm a drummer, Ringo is the best pocket drummer there is. He plays for the overall sound of song. He's brilliant. But Nothing to learn hear on the break up. Common knowledge
You never reveal any new details, except for vague references to Yoko Ono's role in the Beatles breaking up. Deceptive, time-wasting, videos need and deserve to be called out for what they are so that others can make better use of their time.
Something strange about a man ? That wears prescription sunglasses 24/7 , which is bad enough but dying your hair but your beard and moustache too , very very weird , may be if he was 24 but not 84 .
I like Ringo but he is only successful because he was a beatle .He was just a stand in they would keep because he was unassuming and not a threat to John or Paul
not true... yoko didn't break up the beatles... paul dying in 1966 broke them up three yrs later... billy shears subbing for paul could not fill the gap nor remove the pain of loss... truth.out
He was not the glue lil. He wasnt even an original beatle. He isnt even a good drummer. He always had the smallests drum kit, very few pieces like a kid's set because he couldnt play a bigger set with more drums and cymbals. Hes always had a real drummer with a normal big drumset backing him at his shows for decades.
Who gives a sheet! Early on, their records were simplisticly produced, then later, recorded clinically with no warmth. Only Abbey Road and portions of Let It Be and Peppers displayed any attractiveness.

It’s a fact that Ringo was first drawn to country music, not rock. You might not hear it directly, but his roots in C&W influenced his drumming style.

Let’s face it, they were good, but longevity such as Elvis, will never happen. He was the King, now and Always, and he was one of the most Handsome men to have ever donned the stage.
If John Lennon hadn’t got with Yoko Ono, he’d still be alive today
I heard him say it before and I also heard Paul.
Great video! Thanks. Too bad about Yoko's constant forced presence. The entire world could feel the tension she created in the band, IMO. Such a shame!
Good Luck & GoodBye….👋
Pete Best was the best out of the two.
Just because of an INSANE PERSON and BLIND LOVER?
The Beatles broke up because Lennon and Harrison were both sick to death of McCartney.
With a typo in your headline, please explain what makes you an expert.
These come on. Ads that start this way are always false claims
I don’t know if I can watch this if whoever made this video can’t spell his name right. Come on! Have someone proofread.
He has taught me to lay back some and let the music shine. And it worked so...
I always thought it was Yoko that broke up the band
Ringo didn’t go to school….. what does that tell you ❤
IT TELLS ME IMEDIATELY, HE / RING HAD & GOT, GOD GIVEN, NATURAL TALLENT, FOR THE DRUMS! AND HECK, WHO KNOWES, TO WHAT ELSE?! A TRUELY NATURAL GOOD DRTUMMER!!
SO - O ??!! I HONESTLY SAYES, BEAT THAT, 21ST CENTURY PUNKS??!! SUPER STARS??!
NONE OF THOSE PUNKY /BUNKY EVER COULD EXCEED RINGO! NONE OF THEM!!!
Actually I believe that Yoko Ono was a bad influence on John Lennon because the way he acted and everything.. but that's just my opinion
What incredible humbleness. I'm a drummer, Ringo is the best pocket drummer there is. He plays for the overall sound of song. He's brilliant. But Nothing to learn hear on the break up. Common knowledge
"FINALLY" is another inadequate 'WORD" they made this narrator utilize. HE ALWAYS ADMITTED IT. More use of old information from LEGENDS REWIND?
What do the western movie clips have to do with Ringo.
I was hoping this was about Faul.
Too much unessary talking

That's ridiculous assumptions all bands of break up eventually they just run out of new material...
They grow up and get married
Of course she did
You don't have your wife at the office telling your mates what to do. Especially since she sang like a strangled cat IMHO
™ LONG LIVE Rock’n’Roll! NOT Rock & Roth
Whats taking so long..I don't want to hear about his childhood up to date!
Waste of time, nothing new to see. Irrating bg music
So get to the point......too much useless babble
I see. John and Yoko were deeply in love. I believe.
not true... yoko didn't break up the beatles... paul dying in 1966 broke them up three yrs later... billy shears subbing for paul could not fill the gap nor remove the pain of loss... truth.out
What PRECAUTION??
He was not the glue lil. He wasnt even an original beatle. He isnt even a good drummer. He always had the smallests drum kit, very few pieces like a kid's set because he couldnt play a bigger set with more drums and cymbals. Hes always had a real drummer with a normal big drumset backing him at his shows for decades.
Who can believe Dan Rather??? Back & to the left….
Who gives a sheet! Early on, their records were simplisticly produced, then later, recorded clinically with no warmth. Only Abbey Road and portions of Let It Be and Peppers displayed any attractiveness.
I'll make a lot of people man I absolutely don't like the Beatles not personally but the music
Tell me to keep watching and I lose interest. Garbage
A woman destroyed something….. shocking
John, what were you thinking about?
