Phillipa had me cackling with that delivery. She's such a simpleton, but she really is a sweet girl (when not imitating Prudence or Portia). And her 'We kiss, then he makes a funny sound, and goes to change his britches...' was very cute.
Portia truly deserves her idiot daughters 😅
I genuinely had to pause the TV and walk around the room to calm down my laughter the first time I saw that scene- the Featheringtons are killing it as comic relief this season.
I think Prudence was just as surprised as Portia at Philippa's comments. I mean Philippa and Albion have been married for a year by this point and still have not consummated. At least Prudence and Henry have done so, and you can tell that the second time they do it that Prudence enjoyed it a bit more. And then we definitely get to see how passionate Albion and Philippa are too once they have started to make love.
@@katmaresparkles9578 Prudence's "His britches remain... on?" was also great. You can see the wheels turning as she catches up 🤣🤣🤣 Both actresses are making the most of their roles. I hope they don't fade away after Pen's story is done.
They remind me of Cinderella’s stupid stepsisters.

It was one of the prettiest kisses i've seen.
It didn't not escape me he was a little jealous when she was talking to the Lord at the ball.
Pen was feeling so low and so hopeless. Someone said that kiss was her goodbye, letting go of her feelings but it was a welcome home to him and that's it.
Their kiss is beautiful. The scene looked like a fairy tale. Colin's face after she flees is very telling.
The long string notes on the violin scream romance ❤ 🎻

I was also very focused on Pen's neckline 😳 The new cut of her dresses is lifting her to a whole new level and she knows what she is doing with her heaving... breaths 😉

I think I kept laughing for like 5 minutes after watching that scene 😂😂 lol
I didn't know i could love Pen and Colin so much. I didn't expect that. What i find fascinating about this season - and why i think i am so interested - is that usually it's the men whose secrets and traumas shape his life and his poor decisions, causing a mess. Here they flipped the script and it's the woman whose secrets and traumas cause her to make some poor decisions. That makes me see how different people react to when the man is messy and when the woman is.
That kiss was gorgeous, romantic, and so sweet, even though what prompted Pen to ask was so sad and heartbreaking. Obsessed with that scene 😍 then of course Colin’s shell shocked look when it was over like his world was rocked! *chef’s kiss* perfect. 😘

It's a wonderful kiss and yet so bittersweet. After Portia's words, no wonder Penelope thinks she'll never find someone to love her. Colin is noticing the woman because she's finally maturing into one. I think this is a turning point for Penelope.
I think the main problem with Eloise is that - though she's well read, smart and ambitious, she doesn't really think through her words and her actions as much as she thinks she does and is often unknowingly reckless and/or thoughtless.
she also forgets how privileged she is. compared to other girls let's say Pen and Cressida. Eloise does not have the same pressure to marry as Cressida.

I'm that annoying type of fan who criticizes everything but i have to give it to the cinematography of that kiss. Well directed and acted. Very beautiful and touching.

This ep has a good glimpse of Colin's mindset. When she reads his journal ( diary?). It's interesting that he's saying he has s/e/x but not intimacy emotionally, that he's basically feeling like something is missing when he is intimate but has no real intimacy, that he craves, and feels lonely.
I didn't get that - he was describing the curves of a woman's body and pleasure
@@ScenecrlyK.S.O. that wasn't my opinion, he literally says it in the voiceover in that scene, right after describing the women, he says: "i marvell at how one can have such intimacy but also such great distance", right as he catches Penelope reading. I rewatched now because i doubted my mind when you said that, i thought i was going crazy, i could've sworn i heard it lol.
And The Bridgerton official account published parts of his writtings too, it's cool that they did that.
Yes dear - you said he is missing something but he didn't say that - that's what I meant. You assumed that he feels something is missing - he is a young man alone in Paris enjoying S** - no words as to 'missing' an emotional connection. He might have been enjoying the pleasures of random s**. Intimacy and such great distance - is not a negative for someone who wants to explore - he marvelled at it, could be excitement or shock not distress or irritation. Maybe the Marina experience and advice - made him open to exploration which he is writing about.

Colin was scared to kiss her thats why he was so hesitant and Pen asked for a kiss as a final goodbye to waiting for him and you're right. It was super sad.

Either Mr Finch is nervous about it or no one gave him the talk either and just expected him to figure it out on his own (risky way doing doing that).
Just glad that once they figured out what they're supposed to be doing it didn't seem to put a damper on Philippa and Mr Finch's relationship and didn't result in either of them running from the bedroom screaming in terror.
If he didn't know, awww bless! 😊 If he did know (but has probably never been with anyone else) it means that he was waiting for Phillipa until she was ready. He is totally besotted with his wife and I think it's actually cute that just kissing her made him so "happy". 😅 I think Prudence doesn't know how to react to Henry's affection at first. I think she has her emotional guard up a lot. Maybe it's because she never saw real affection between her mother and father. I think both boys recognise the strength of the Featherington women and are like, "Lead On, Ladies!" to every decision their wives make. They're so wholesome. ❤ I also loved how Mr. Finch drew attention to Penelope in the first episode. He's the hype man for his sis-in-law and I love it. 😊

I like to separate Penelope from books and shows I love them both for different reasons but i love how she was in books a little more.

Weaver makes sense to me. Weaving was how Odysseus' Penelope fended off her suitors and Pen is weaving herself into trouble with Lady Whistledown
