Lots of people don’t like this video or the results, or the time commitment, etc... that’s okay... it’s their opinion. I myself don’t care for the process or end result either, but it’s still a very informative and comprehensive instructional video. Everyone needs to understand that just because someone doesn’t agree with another person, it doesn’t mean that either one hates the other ... we can agree to disagree and move past!
Don't know what some of you are talking about - the floor has the effect of a stormy water with a lot of foam and bubbles as it should be. Really nice work I have never and most likely will never do a epoxy floor but I really like these kind of videos!
I own a small painting company. Alot of your application techniques are transferrable. I've always wanted to do learn how to do epoxy floors. This is pretty cool
Jeez people can be so negative. Those are the people who like shag carpet for their flooring I guess. End result looks great and contemporary. Love it!
Right? Like who would want carpet in there office where people want in and out all week. Epoxy is perfect for commercial, and residential it just depends on the home owner who by all means can do whatever they want with there floor ugly or not. Great job.
i can tell you know what your doing. i have worked in most phases of residential and commercial construction for 50 years, off and on. i like the aesthetic, watching it transform from bad trips to creating the look of stone,. i can imagine adding small amounts of green, red another white and rust, to emulate the colors of driftwood floor that i want.
if you make the paint can of part A slightly larger, part B fits in with it. then you do not need an extra bucket. if you put part B in a bottle then you do not need a special scraper. and if you take paint cans without a border you can easily take out all your paint.
The project looks great. I've always been a big fan of epoxy floors. Me and my grandfather did his basement back in the day. The color isn't my preference but that's subjective of course.
Your work is absolutely fascinating. I have never seen this done. As a DIY project I have several questions about the procedure since they were not discussed. What are requirements for preparing the concrete for the floor kit. I.E. new concrete, old concrete having ceramic tile, old concrete having previous carpet, old concrete having vinyl flooring? Wish you would have shown a close up of the separation of the product in the restroom. How long after applying the first coat do you have to wait before walking on it? Why walk on spikes after the first coat? What are you mixing after the primer: i.e. how much epoxy (are there two parts in the mix; if so what are they and how much of each; how much color per epoxy in 5 gallon bucket? Once spreading with the squeegee then rolling, I notice you walking on the rolled part with the spike shoes, do you need to roll back over the steps you made? Once the floor is rolled, how long must wait before adding highlights? What is the work time for each product application in the work steps? What happens if you use the isopropyl alcohol on the metallic white color? When you started the second batch to join the first, what happens to the white that is on the second batch floor part before the metallic is poured? If the isopropyl alcohol got on the "second batch" floor before pouring the silver metallic base, do you have to clean up the alcohol? Walking on the floor with the spikes while adding the alcohol, what problems does it present before finishing the floor? What does "flash off" mean? So basically before adding the double b urethane and matte (what is the mixing procedure for the double b urethane and matt), what should the epoxy coat on the floor "feel like" before adding the top coat? In other words, should it be extremely "sticky", or maybe a little "tacky" etc.? What do you mean by "if the epoxy is really soft"? What is "deshedding the roller"? What is meant by "getting 1-1/2 to 1-3/4 roller with per dip in roller tray" is this the overlap on previous strokes of the roller? What happens where the roller stops short of the wall and you can see the roller mark (approximately 42:30 wall opposite of door opening behind the man rolling the floor? What do you do if a roller line was missed and dried? What is the procedure for fixing a drip mark that was missed and has dried? How would you fix a "skipped spot" that was discovered after applying the urethane b and matte finish coat was applied and dried? FASCINATING GREAT WORK!!! Just one more thing, for all those geniuses that are complaining and don't think the work was done "right and/or the colors were bad", they should produce a video on their "proper procedures & colors to be used" just to teach us how it should be done. Keep up the fascinating work.
i am intrested in using your product on my kitchen and dinning area how can i get a color chart so the wife and i can choose the colors that we want. would also like a price list for all products and supplies.thank you . you guys do a awsome job explaining how its done .really appricate the infomation.
this is grate clip i do textures on the wall but i never done epoxy yet. i have few question about timings, you never menationed the timings, only the one you mentioned it is for the top coat only, 1-- you didn't mentioned when will you apply the silver metallic epoxy, is it next day? or after well hard dried out? 2-also the timing of white highlight, will you apply it on while epoxy still runny-soft? 3- the 91% isopropyl clear, soo as you finish applying the white highlight? 4- the topcoat you already mentioned it next day or as long won't show your foot prints should be ok. i also watched your kitchen bench with 3 colours, that was excellent as well as this one. please reply me back if possible. thank you
What beautiful work! I am totally addicted and couldn’t subscribe fast enough. Can’t wait to see more - I appreciate your attention to detail. Watching artistry.
Is this flooring for internal use only and can't be put outside on the ramp or in the front open porch, where it would be exposed to sun, dust and rain?
We recommend this product for internal use as we have much better re-coating products for outdoors they're industrial grade and don't run the risk of peeling off or fading. Check them out here! 👉leggari.com/order-flooring/#hardwood-overlay-kits
I know the taller buckets are the metallic epoxy (clear) with the art metallic pigments mixed together but what's the white stuff in the little bowls at @15.03?
The first thing we spray is 91% or higher isopropyl alcohol. This creates cells in the design and disperses the epoxy. Once that evaporates, we spray denatured alcohol to pop any micro bubbles that might be in the epoxy from mixing. This allows us to avoid torching the epoxy and the risks associated with that.
The effect looks like white-capped waves during the black of night, storm. The effect grows on you the longer you look. A matching counter top with a black model ship on display, would totally bring out the effect.
Can it be applied over laminate wooden floor? im asking because laminate floors usually have a gap between the actual floor and the laminate board. Will it be durable to domestic activities like placing or dragging heavy furniture, or will it crack ?
I too noticed how there were no footprints when you were stepping on it while applying. Why is that? It would get kind of hard not to step on it while doing it all at one time. Love how this style looks on counters and floors. If in the garage how would it hold up with say gas oils etc getting spilled on it?
He is wearing spiked shoes so he does not track the epoxy everywhere. Our epoxy is 100% solid resin and cleans up very easy and can withstand oil, gas, etc.
If you are planning on installing one of our epoxy countertops yourself, you can select a kit here 👉 leggari.com/order-countertops/ and input your square footage to receive a price. Good video does your product come with installation instruction that state on what coats you should wear spikes it was hard watching the video to determine on which steps you had spikes on as you wear different shoes as you laid the coatings. Also do your instruction list the type of squeegee rubber material that works best . Thank you for your reply.
im confused does this replace the process of grinding? no one got in to depth on it. And was the base coat hardened already it looked like the grey was already dry. how long is the window with the base coat being on the floor.that you can throw another color in it.
Hello! In the case of this project, we did not shotblast the existing substrate like we would normally recommend but we did grind it lightly so a bond could be created between the substrate and our prep replacement primer. Learn more about this product here 👉 leggari.com/product/prep-replacement/. In some cases, our Prep Replacement is all you need to prep the floor well enough. And no, the base coat is not hardened when we add the highlights. It needs to be fluid to be able to blend the highlights. You have some time but simply want to get the highlights down and blended as quickly as possible for the best results. You can learn more about all of these products and floor kits here! 👉 leggari.com/order-flooring/#metallic-epoxy-kits Our youtube channel has many other epoxy floor videos that go more into depth
Looks great! I just dont know why you wouldn't pull the toilet? Now if someone were to damage and or want to replace is the would have to find the exact same one.
If a single person is applying product, do I mix all the different coats one after the other and then apply or mix one at a time, if one at a time how much time after applying the the grey base coat do I have to mix the white? Thanks
It is recommend for two people but you want to have all the mixes ready without the hardener then start the mixing. You can watch the step by step process in the tutorial videos on our website at leggari.com under the floor section.
Hello! Although a urethane top coat is not required, we recommend one be added for durability. Check out our topcoat options here by beginning to build a kit! leggari.com/product/epoxy-floor-kit-1/

I would love my floor to do in gold and cream
I love the way it looks. I am thinking about doing this in my house. All you have to do is throw some rugs down as they did.

Does it have sealing properties? And is it chemical resistant?

Hello,question for you.
If i want to do an epoxy floor in to walking shower, how do i mantain a slope since the epoxy is self leveling??
Can the product used on natural marble to create new marble floor which is stain resistant and easy to clean?
Awesome work!!
this is grate clip i do textures on the wall but i never done epoxy yet. i have few question about timings, you never menationed the timings, only the one you mentioned it is for the top coat only,

So if you use a metallic white the dispersing affect or the celling goes back to normal?
How many types of epoxy flooring ? Do you have in India work possible or guide us
Thanks for clarification of how to doit.
Relative to final product, It was too much white. Like a big confusion.
What beautiful work! I am totally addicted and couldn’t subscribe fast enough. Can’t wait to see more - I appreciate your attention to detail. Watching artistry.
I love the epoxy resin bench tops and floors. I want to do this. Can I put down a epoxy floor on a timber floor ??
Getting rid of that must be so difficult, do you need one of those road breaking tools to break it up?
Depending on the thickness of the floor either got a grind it or scarify it shop Blaster won't take that stuff off
Is this flooring for internal use only and can't be put outside on the ramp or in the front open porch, where it would be exposed to sun, dust and rain?

Never mind, it's called 'White pigmented epoxy. But do we have to use white, or can we mix it with another type of Art metallic pigment color?
You don't have to use white, we just did for this specific look!
It is a long journey to reach the goal. Exclnt work.nice colrs.
Hi, do you remove the tape once fully cured or before ?
What did you use to apply the epoxy in the bathroom, a narrower squeegee? Behind and around the toilet etc.
Please, what is there in the sprayer ⁉️ is it a thinner or something else? Thank you very much
Very well explained. Ends up with a nice durable floor and looks great!
Awesome work 🎉
Thanks for watching!🔥
Can you please tell me what is the spray you sprayed over the white veins and after you applied the squeegee?

Fantastic work Can you put epoxy over wood flooring?
Yes you can!
Great work ..is it dureable in hot weather....like pakistan

Do you tape off the floor /wall so product doesn’t
seep in?
If you were not replacing the trim yes you would want to tape off the walls but they will be putting up new trim so no need in this situation!
What appliance or utensil do you use under your tennis or shoes?
Good job 👍
