Now I ain't suggesting the death penalty. But that money definitely needs to be paid back into the Australian people, farmers, and economy. And at least years (not months) in jail, and never being able to do this again by being in charge of a big company for the rest of his life. And that is being nice.

I'm pretty sure just after he says 6 months prison, he follows it up with "or $5000 fine"

Why blame the CEOs. They are just doing their jobs. If you had another 4 or 5 large supermarkets they will compete for your business. Just like banks we could do with another 10 banks

I'd say they all have good points. Now when a state or an authority is interfering with a private business or a corporation for public use or benefit, like rents, or rent increased or here with a supermarket making profits, then Australia morphs into welfare state and towards socialism. Eventually the good products or houses will make way for lower quality type alternatives, because its not worth it to be in this market or in business. The better products will be exported and the new and upmarket houses will be sold to foreign investors. Is this already happening in 2024?
