I agree, except for online where there are a metric shit tonne of absolutely relentless and unforgiving griefers that make you so paranoid you freak out every time you see another player, and the bullshit cheesy ability cards that can turn players into unstoppable terminators that make it so newer players and even some veteran players stand absolutely no chance against them unless you have dynamite arrows or explosive rounds and just pray you aren't too out-numbered. the story mode is incredible but the online is a brutal dystopian hell-scape.
I don't know if it's just me. But I think RDR2 has absolutely destroyed single player gaming for me. I cant play a single game without getting bored half-way, thanks to RDR2 and the exceptionally high bar it has set for ages of open-world games to come in the future. I sort of have a love and hate relationship with RDR2 now.
@Luke C First person and no autoaim are more challenging if that's what you mean. Also getting gold in the story missions is difficult. That's why the gameplay is so restrictive in missions. In the replay feature your progression doesn't carry over and you get limited ammo and items. But I believe they patched that and fast travel because of bi***ng about difficulty. I prefer playing how it was meant. In 1st person like Skyrim. Don't play the game if you don't like horse riding, hunting, fishing, exploring, to stay alive. Being a cowboy can be hard for some people. Not many survived in the West like the game shows. It seems you can neither. Relax play what you like. You'll have a good time. Everybody has a good time.
I'm currently playing through Breath of the Wild & because of this channel I'm now constantly self-conscious about opening the damn map because my wife is in the same room.

It'sAlexForShort I feel the opposite. The second time through all I feel is frustration at the narrow mission structure and how any deviance makes me restart missions I’ve already finished.
I appreciate how there's also a good lesson about relationships and reaching out to learn more about your partner's interests, and thus your partner too.
The horse controls make perfect sense once you think about it. You steer by moving the camera on console, and the same works on pc by moving the mouse. Pressing A or D on the keyboard is asking your horse to do an abrupt 90 degree turn.
It is insane how much this channel grew. I subbed day one with that Red Dead video, and still find myself listening to them in the background as I play games. You guys found a niche and really nailed it.

Game wasn’t a great experience personally since the actual movement and combat were so bad. Story wasn’t delivered well enough to make up for it either. Cool premise that wasn’t taken proper advantage of or captivating enough and got old well before it was over.

For RDR2 the best thing to do is as soon as you can free roam go out and do all of the hunting you can and upgrade everything. Then go back to base and make a save file. That way when you want to play again you have a save to skip those 40 hours of hunting
I never played the first game but I have to say... I was surprised by how little I enjoyed this game. It's so tedious, there is so little freedom in how you approach missions, and there are so many weird quirks like the ones you pointed out at the end of the video that get in the way of a good time.
I was unimpressed by the combat being exactly the same as the last game. Hide behind cover, pop out and shoot until you're damaged, wait until your COD health automatically replenishes, rinse and repeat. Enemies don't flank or do anything interesting. They just stay behind the same cover until you eventually kill them. The only enemies that were any fun to fight were the skinners because some of them come at you with machetes.
For a game to be impactful narrativity as most films and story focused games is phenomenal due to the fact it's also got the best open world environment. There's something so beautiful about camping in the wild like a Survival roleplay Experience for hours on end, and to realize 4 Hours later; Oh yeah this has a campaign, and tons of other stuff to feel the time. It's a gift to be honest, by far the best and most underrated game to hit this generation.

I seriously questioned whether or not this would be good revisiting a game so soon covered before.... 2 minutes in I am wrong :) and you guys did an amazing job that we actually liked even more then the first take on this game. Kudos to you both.

I am new to this channel, just discovered it a few days ago but it is AWESOME. So comical and refreshing. I only have one suggestion. Just like every James Bond movie has the lines "Bond, James Bond" and "a martini, shaken not stirred" everyone of your videos has to have "hol up a minute". Cracks me up. Great channel.

I wish I could "relike" this. Your videos are awesome! Going back now to go rewatch the very first video (RDR2) that convinced me spending money on a ps4 in my adult life that would not do anything to further my personal and professional goals was 1000% worth it.
(Seriously have never owned a game console till that video- Rockstar should sponsor you lol)

Please review Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice. It's a rival to the GOW storytelling and it's a short playthrough. No sidequests just pure epic story.

Rival? Nah. Sure, its storytelling might be decent, as many would say, but still, not even close to GoW.
Game wasn’t a great experience personally since the actual movement and combat were so bad. Story wasn’t delivered well enough to make up for it either. Cool premise that wasn’t taken proper advantage of or captivating enough and got old well before it was over.

For RDR2 the best thing to do is as soon as you can free roam go out and do all of the hunting you can and upgrade everything. Then go back to base and make a save file. That way when you want to play again you have a save to skip those 40 hours of hunting

At the end of the "perfectly reasonable" part, I sort of expected her to say "There is no war in Ba Sing Se!". XD
I never played the first game but I have to say... I was surprised by how little I enjoyed this game. It's so tedious, there is so little freedom in how you approach missions, and there are so many weird quirks like the ones you pointed out at the end of the video that get in the way of a good time.
I was unimpressed by the combat being exactly the same as the last game. Hide behind cover, pop out and shoot until you're damaged, wait until your COD health automatically replenishes, rinse and repeat. Enemies don't flank or do anything interesting. They just stay behind the same cover until you eventually kill them. The only enemies that were any fun to fight were the skinners because some of them come at you with machetes.

For a game to be impactful narrativity as most films and story focused games is phenomenal due to the fact it's also got the best open world environment. There's something so beautiful about camping in the wild like a Survival roleplay Experience for hours on end, and to realize 4 Hours later; Oh yeah this has a campaign, and tons of other stuff to feel the time. It's a gift to be honest, by far the best and most underrated game to hit this generation.
