Maybe the place you bought it from labeled it as a gaming pc just to get rid of stocks, I mean, ive done that in the past lol. I see that this is just for kiosks or a centralized controller for projectors and what not, but only until that.
So I had to buy a new PC for my dad to use as checkout screen. It had a celeron, 4 gigs of ram, a 4:3 touchscreen display, and a bunch of COM ports to connect to the cash register, a scale, so on. Wanna know how much that piece of crap costs? A THOUSAND EUROS! (give or take) It's a gigantic scam!
i have 7 years old laptop with pentium 2020M that still i use until now, and i bought a new laptop with celeron N4000 and my 7 years old laptop is slightly faster than that N4000 (both using Win 10, and 4GB RAM).. idk how "newer" Celeron have worst performance than the old pentium...
For that price you can get a Surface Go 2 with pentium gold... It's not that much better but you'll be getting better screen and portability... For Kiosk application in some restaurants and stuff like that this is probably fine but for personal use just get Surface Go 2
According to the Target product page, this is worth $300 at most. the SSD is the only decent part of this device, maybe the wifi and the DDR4 RAM is somewhat okay, but this thing is nowhere near good for $650. The screen is awful. If you give it an i5 and a better screen, maybe it could be classed with the Surface Laptop Go.
This is a good PC for home automation. Plus it probably marketed as "gaming" just because a lot of low end modern specs are expected to run basic games even if they don't
I'm sad they don't toss some decent hardware in this and sell it as a proper gaming AiO with a vesa mount. Intel 1135H or AMD 5600H for CPU and a RTX 2060/3050 RX5600 would be dope with a 120HZ screen.
Yeah these are pretty much whats inside the order taking kiosk at like a mcdonalds, and for those wonder what the port has to do with that its for things like barcode scanners, card readers and receipt printers.... all that stuff still uses that ancient technology for some unholy reason like usb isnt good enough yet lol

I wonder WHY intel is still bringing the traumatic experience with CELERON on this exact year of 2021. And 4 Gb ram and Windows 10, its like MSI trying to be selling a better user experience putting as "GAMING all-in-one!" Austin, next time don't bring idea to Ken to bring a very bad all in one to Mystery Tech. P.D: $650 for that? i'd prefer to put like $100 for that specs!
MSI DOES NOT MARKET THIS THING AS A GAMING PC. On their website it is listed as an inexpensive display for commercial or household use, literally as an under the counter pc for recipes or at a point of sale location as a monitor. And, yes, it has com ports for connecting to barcode scanners and stuff used at checkout stations. That's it.
That reminds me of the very first windows tablets that came out decades ago with shitty screens, the problem is they were probably still more powerfull than this MSI BS
