Listen to this man. I started last year with little experience after being fired from my first painting job. I was only there 5 months as a helper. I was only making 40,000 a year, around 20 dollars an hour. I just did my taxes and personally made 6 figures. I didn’t even have to work 3 months over the winter, went on vacation to visit family in Jamaica. Easiest money I’ve ever made 🎉
That is BS. First of all, no helper makes 40k a year, and they don't even work the whole year. At $20 bucks an hour you'd be lucky to make 30k. Secondly, after 5 months, you wouldn't know enough to even begin a company.
Thank you for your videos. Because of them, they've helped me overcome my fear of failure. I am now in the process of opening my own painting business. Keep the videos coming they help more people then you know!
I delivered my first estimate yesterday. I’m in roofing sales and want to transfer over what I know about roofing sales to the painting industry. This channel has been HUGE for me. I actually watch a guy named the roof strategist and you are the painting equivalent to him. He helped me with roofing and u are helping me with painting. I’ll comment again when I have more success coming my way. God bless and thank you!
amazing video , what would you consider "no experience " like little to no experience on knowing how prime , cut , paint a wall , or only done a few homes ext , thanks
Thanks for this video great content am starting my own painting business in south Florida no experience what’s so ever I mean I painting my house and family members in the past but business wise no experience any advice and tips would be highly appreciated thank you sir btw you just got a new subscriber 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Just turned 46 - been painting since I was a kid - my Dad owned a one man show painting biz for years before he retired (he was super meticulous and trusted no-one, a real hard head haha), and I used to paint along side him in my 20s before selling my soul to corporate America (which I need to leave). Be honest - am I too old to attempt starting a business like this?
46?!? No. You are not too old to start now. You can build a million dollar company within a few years and be making more money, working less, and have all that upside… all before turning 50. I’m biased but that sure sounds better than grinding it out for another 20+ years
I think the industry is lacking with a good go to CRM. But Drip Jobs is good and then one that has just barely been released (in Beta) is going to be awesome. Our company uses salesforce but wouldn’t recommend it for most

Can you share how you do estimates?
Do you think it’s a good time to start a painting business in a recession or ride the wave until the economy starts to bounce back.

I started mine last week
Keep your day job. Do this on the weekends
It's a great time to start. Painting is recession resistant.
Thank you for the info
Love it.
Which painting crm most benefited yours and the companies you helped grow?
I think the industry is lacking with a good go to CRM. But Drip Jobs is good and then one that has just barely been released (in Beta) is going to be awesome.
Our company uses salesforce but wouldn’t recommend it for most
Do I need contractors linscense to start?
In some areas yes.
It varies state to state
